Gravity Mage with Level-Up System - Chapter 1701: Private Collector Lakan

Chapter 1701: Private Collector Lakan
From MC’s Perspective
That night, I appeared outside again. I had sorted out all the looted items with the help of Zero Puppet. I didn’t show the looted items to the vine monster.
After sorting them out, I stored the useful ones and decided to sell the remaining stuff. The remaining items were useful for Wizards Level-9 and below.
These items had been piled up inside the system space earlier. I collected my thoughts and summoned Hank, Patrick, and Otto.
Then we left the hotel room.
About 20 minutes later,
We started looking for a place to sell the antique items. Unfortunately, there was no central auction here. You could only sell them to private stores or private collectors.
“Master, why don’t we sell them in another city? You will definitely get more money,” Otto asked.
“I don’t want to leave behind any traces,” I replied.
But deep down, I thought of the Fate Wizard. The Fate Wizards have connections with all sorts of people.
I wouldn’t be surprised if any big auction company had contacts with a Fate Wizard. They could find the buyer through him.
Otto and the others didn’t seem to be fully convinced. I didn’t plan on explaining further. Then we continued to look for the places.
We even asked some of the store managers. Yet they didn’t say anything useful. Just as we walked out of one of the stores, something happened.
Suddenly, Otto raised his eyebrows. He heard the muttering of the manager. The next second, his eyes gleamed.
The manager had revealed useful information because of his self-talk.
“Master, wait. I have found some good information.” After saying that, he explained the information.
Hearing that, I was surprised.
Patrick and Hank exchanged looks. They turned towards Otto.
“The manager muttered about an obsessive collector behind the store. He likes to buy wizard items at low costs. He also does business related to it,” Otto said.
Hearing that, I fell into thought. Then I realized it was good to look at the collector. Maybe I could find some useful stuff in his collection.
“Let’s go to the private collector’s house,” I said.
Then Otto started leading us to the house. We started following him. After coming to the next street, we came across the gated community behind the stores.
There were many private villas inside. We then approached the guards outside the gate. They were surprisingly Level-9 Wizards.
It showed that the owners of the villas were not ordinary people. Hank told the guard about our purpose. Both the guards saw the Supreme Wizards among the group. They became fearful.
“You must be asking about Collector Lakan,” one of the guards said.
“We don’t have an appointment. We came to see him regarding a matter of urgency,” Hank said.
The guards understood. They then contacted Collector Lakan. Collector Lakan was a Level-9 Wizard himself. He was middle-aged, in his forties, with a cheerful personality.
He did both trade and collection. He collected the items he liked for himself. Then he sold the rest of them through business.
When Lakan answered the call, the guards briefed him. He became interested in the guests because most of the items he received were illegal items or items obtained through killing.
He sold such stuff to targeted wizards, including evil wizards. There were wizards who had requested he watch out for certain items.
If matching items appeared, he would get more money after selling them. Lakan smiled. He told the guards to send the guests to his villa before ending the call.
The guards then shared the news with us. Everyone was happy. The guards opened the main gate. One of them showed us which villa it was.
It was the fourth one in the row. Then we started going towards it. At the same time, I started using the system to check whether any Magic Lords or Forbidden Wizards were here.
The system results came back positive. Not in the fourth villa, but there was the presence of a Magic Lord in the community.
“Don’t spread your mana or mental power to cover the area,” I said to them in a serious tone.
Hearing that, Hank, Otto, and Patrick stopped probing. Hank was so close to using magic. If he had done that, the Magic Lord would have noticed him then.
They quickly arrived at the fourth villa. A bearded middle-aged man was waiting outside. Lakan saw four people. His eyes immediately narrowed. He sensed two Supreme Wizards and two Level-9 Wizards.
He then noticed something which immediately made his heart turbulent. He saw the two Supreme Wizards and one Level-9 Wizard were walking one step behind the young-looking Level-9 Wizard.
He immediately realized that the identity of the young-looking Wizard was big. He had only seen young wizards with Level-9 strength in those great wizard families.
He then calmed his heart and greeted his guests.
“Hello, welcome everyone. My name is Lakan. Everyone calls me Private Collector Lakan.” After saying that, he led everyone to his home.
Lakan then said, “I do the trading business. But collecting is my hobby. My clients include different Wizard organizations and wandering wizards.”
“I don’t see a difference between white and evil wizards,” he added.
“It’s nice to meet you, Mr. Lakan. I have heard a lot about you. That’s why we came to see your collections. We also have some items to sell,” I said with a smile.
Lakan’s heart stirred. He was right. The identity of the young Wizard was special.
“Young Master, you seem to be from a big place. Don’t worry, I’m not going to ask about your personal background,” Lakan said.
“Good, can you show us your collections?” I asked.
“Young Master, I mostly collect stuff related to history. Including wizard travel notes, stuff written back then, and biographies. But I don’t know whether they are original or fake ones.”
“But I have collected them for history’s sake. I don’t know whether you are interested in the history stuff,” Lakan said.
My eyes gleamed with a twinkle. I decided to try to take a look.
