Gravity Mage with Level-Up System - Chapter 1702: Spotting key details!

Chapter 1702: Spotting key details!
From MC’s Perspective
Lakan told us that he had collections related to history.
“Take us there. I would like to see it myself,” I said to him.
Hearing that, Lakan was not surprised. He agreed and started guiding us towards the basement. Otto, Patrick, and Hank followed me from behind.
A few minutes later,
We reached the basement. It was a wide, spacious room filled with racks. My gaze immediately fell on the old books and travel notes.
Some of them were placed in glass displays. Like the person said earlier, I didn’t know whether they were original or fake.
Otto, Patrick, and Hank were looking at other shelves.
The Collector, Lakan, was with me. Then I used the system function to help me find the original ones. The results came back positive.
Indeed, both original and fake ones were mixed. Then I walked up to the first original item, which was nearest to me.
It was a travel note placed inside the glass.
Lakan followed the young man’s gaze. He saw the travel note. His eyes flickered.
“This travel note belongs to a Wizard named Crystal. Nobody knows his real name. Since his magic was the crystal type, everyone started calling him by his name,” Lakan said from the side.
At the same time, I was reading the information on the travel note. It said that the wizard was from a Super Large Nation called Crystal Lunara. It was one of the ancient wizard countries.
I had my own experiences with the Super Large Country. You couldn’t move freely like you were doing under the territory close to the Mage Union.
That’s why I didn’t travel that far. Then I continued to read the notes. The Wizard Crystal traveled because he wanted to find the breakthrough opportunity to the Magic Lord and beyond stages.
The travel note ends with that.
“That’s all,” I muttered.
Because I didn’t find another page.
Lakan saw this as well. He immediately said, “Young Master, that’s the only page I have. The reason I have placed it here is because the travel note is real.”
“The Crystal Lunara Country still exists, though it is not a Super Large Nation anymore. But the tales of Wizard Crystal have been famous there since old times,” Lakan added.
My eyes gleamed with a twinkle. I knew the world was big, but I had limited knowledge. Since there was no force stronger than the Mage Union, there was no point in knowing them.
Then I continued to go through the collections. But I wasn’t able to find anything useful. I wanted to find information related to Gravity Magic.
About 20 minutes later,
I was losing hope and thought about leaving. But there was one last original note left. I decided to take a look at that.
Patrick, Otto, and Hank had lost interest. They were waiting for their master. Collector Lakan had been silent from the beginning.
But he was observing the behavior of everyone. He understood that the three wizards were following the orders of the young man.
They were not even speaking up without the young man’s permission. He got more curious about his identity, but he knew his limit.
A young man with such a background could have the presence of a Forbidden Wizard in his family. So he continued to observe in silence.
I walked up to the last glass shelf. It was a black-colored paper. But there was something drawn on it. There was no writing; it was a kind of pictorial depiction.
I used the function of the system again. The system was able to decipher it. When the system told me the information in my mind, a hint of disbelief appeared in my eyes.
I didn’t expect to come across gravity-related stuff in the end.
I had almost given up hope. Yet the answers were hidden in the pictorial depiction.
Lakan saw that the young man was looking at the black paper.
He said, “Young Master, I think it’s a fake item. I got this paper from an Evil Wizard. I have been trying to decipher it, but I have failed so far.”
Hearing that, I asked, “Then why are you showing it?”
Lakan smiled and said, “I wanted to know whether any visitors could identify it. But so far, no one has found it valuable.”
Then I turned around and said, “I think it’s time to sell my stuff.”
Lakan got relaxed and nodded his head. There was a sitting area in this underground room. We came to the place.
Then we sat down. Patrick, Hank, and Otto were relaxed. Lakan was excited. He knew the young man was from a big background.
He was hoping to find valuable things.
Under his shocked gaze, I started pouring the magic items on the table one after another. The magic items were varied.
From mage robes, artifacts, herbs, and ores to weapons. But the grades of these items were level-9 and below.
Lakan was dumbfounded. He was sure that the items were obtained through killings. But he didn’t find anything level-10 or above, which was understandable.
On the other hand, I wanted to leave the place right away. My next goal was to find the location mentioned in that black paper.
If the system results were true, then I could get a breakthrough opportunity before returning to the Magic City.
Lakan continued to go through the items. He found some rare magic plants. They could only be found in the forbidden areas.
Once again he evaluated the young man. This time his evaluation was higher. Not every wizard family can afford to travel to the forbidden areas.
The forbidden areas were rich with resources. Only truly powerful wizard families could do that. For example, the families in the Magic City.
He was close to figuring out the identity of the young man with such little information. It didn’t take long for him to separate the valuable items.
Next, it was time for the negotiation. Lakan hesitated; he thought the young man in front of him didn’t lack resources.
He was not someone to buy this stuff for a huge price.
“Young master, I’m interested in these items. I don’t want the rest of them,” Lakan said.
Hearing that, I put the rest of the items inside the storage bracelets.
