“So what’s the price?” I asked him.

Lakan hesitated. He didn’t trade using mana stones. He was sure that the young master in front of him didn’t lack resources.

So he said, “Young Master, if you don’t mind, why don’t you exchange the items for other valuable items?”

Hearing that, my eyes gleamed with a twinkle.

“Is it Grade 10 or above?” I asked back.

Lakan smiled and nodded, saying, “Yes, young master. I have Grade-10 items. But I have both elemental and dark objects as well.”

“Okay, show me,” I replied.

Then Lakan took out the magic items from the storage bracelets. Some of the magic items were covered in dark mana.

My gaze swept over these items. A few of them were broken artifacts. They included weapons, wooden dolls, paintings, and cursed fabrics.

I used the system function to find their uses. The system results sounded in my mind. Now, I knew the cursed fabric was a product of evil magic.

Anyone who possessed this cursed fabric would have a bad time. Unless he threw the cursed fabric away, he would continue to suffer.

The system said that it was a Grade-10 item. I could use it against my enemies. Then, my gaze fell on the last item.

It was a black ring. I used the system function to check it. Then I found out that it was the product of black magic. It provided protection against mental and soul attacks.

It was also a Grade-10 Magic Artifact. I could use it to protect myself against evil wizards. But the cursed fabric was good stuff as well.

Then I showed a disappointed expression on my face. I thought the person in front of me was hiding more stuff. So, I decided not to agree immediately.

Patrick, Otto, and Hank found something wrong with the cursed fabric and a few other things, but they didn’t know the exact details.

They didn’t know the black ring was an extraordinary Supreme Grade Artifact.

“These items are good. But I need to look at more. So bring it out if you are hiding something,” I said to him.

Then Lakan smiled, took out other items, and placed them on the table. But this time, the items were related to evil wizards.

I raised my eyebrows in surprise. You couldn’t find this stuff in stores outside because some of the evil artifacts were created using sacrifices.

Looking at them, I felt a heavy darkness.

The system warning arrived at the right time. So, I made a decision.

“I need that black ring and the fabric,” I said to him.

Lakan was surprised because he knew details about the two items, yet the young man in front of him was asking for this exact stuff.

He thought that the young man must have figured out something. Then he said, “Young Master, I can only give you one of the supreme grade items.”

“Because I have only selected a few from you,” he added.

Hearing that, I felt his argument was credible. Besides, the cursed fabric was associated with bad luck. If I had it, I didn’t know what changes would occur.

Then I said, “Okay. Give me that black ring. You can have the selected items.”

“Ha…ha…ha…”

“Thank you, Young Master,” Lakan said with a smile.

He then picked up the small storage box which held the black ring and gave it to me.

I accepted the box and placed it inside my storage bracelet. Then I gave the selected items to him. We made a good deal in the end.

It was time to leave. I stood up. Patrick, Otto, and Hank stood up as well.

“It was nice meeting you. Next time, if I travel via this city, I’ll come to your villa again,” I said to Lakan.

“It was my pleasure, Young Master,” Lakan replied.

Then we walked out of the villa. We bid goodbye to him before walking towards the main gate. Lakan then returned to his room.

Otto was using his magic. He could hear the conversations. But Lakan was not thinking about anything.

We soon reached the main gate. The guards greeted us. Then they opened the gate. We left the private villa and started heading back to the hotel.

“Did you find anything?” I asked Otto.

Otto shook his head and said, “Master, that person seems to be honest. He didn’t do any shady things.”

A hint of satisfaction appeared in my eyes.

Soon, we returned to the hotel and then to the hotel room. The three of them had confusion in their minds.

When I asked about it, they didn’t know whether the black ring was dangerous or not. I assured them it was not dangerous.

I appeared inside the Gregor Mansion. The first thing I did was to activate the Zero Puppet.

After inserting the super-grade mana stones into the core, the Zero Puppet came alive. Then I relayed the system information about the black paper to the Zero Puppet.

The black paper had information about a special place. A special place filled with all types of magic powers. Wizards, monsters, and magic creatures considered this place a paradise.

It sounded like a myth. But the system results said that the black paper was not fake. Someone real must have drawn those pictorial depictions.

But the problem was there was a huge chance for the place to be located outside the influence of the Mage Union. The Zero Puppet didn’t respond immediately.

It needed time. I understood it was because of the lack of a database.

The Zero Puppet said that it didn’t have enough information. The information it had recorded so far didn’t have anything related to the pictorial depictions.

I was not surprised. Rather, I was ready. It was time to fill the database of the Zero Puppet with information. I would ask Otto, Patrick, and Hank to buy old books from a bookstore tomorrow.

I would visit the library the next morning. The city must have a library built for locals. Then I didn’t deactivate the puppet. I told it to watch over the place before going to bed.
