“Master, we have got as many copies of books as possible,” Otto said.

Patrick and Hank said the same. Then, I praised them before collecting the books into the system space.

“Master, how long are we going to stay here?” Patrick asked.

Otto and Hank had the same doubt. Hearing that, I decided to tell them.

“I have a place in mind. I’m planning to go to that place for a breakthrough. But that place is located outside the Mage Union territory.”

“So, I’m gathering information about that place, including the danger and wizard forces surrounding it,” I said to them.

The three of them were dumbfounded again. They knew their Master wouldn’t ask to collect the books for nothing.

Then, I told them that I would be going through the books before disappearing from the spot. I appeared inside the Gregor Mansion the next second.

The Zero Puppet had also run out of energy. I immediately went towards it. I started putting the super-grade mana stones inside the core.

The Zero Puppet became active the next second. A blue light appeared in its eye sockets.

“Master,” the Zero Puppet greeted.

Then, I brought the books from the system space and placed them on the floor. There were over a hundred books.

I told the Zero Puppet to record the information in the books. After doing that, I told Zero to verify whether any information matched the description I said earlier.

“I will do it without mistake,” the Zero Puppet replied.

Hearing that, I nodded to him before turning towards the Dark Root Vine Monster. I noticed that the monster was still resting.

I couldn’t help but raise my eyebrows. The monster was always asleep. Then, I used the system to probe the monster.

The system voice sounded in my mind. Hearing that, I was surprised. The system said that vine monsters need more energy to be active.

So, the vine monster was sleeping to avoid wasting energy. I understood why the monster had been alive for so many years.

Then, I returned to the bedroom.

Time went by.

The Zero Puppet began to record the information in the books one by one.

The evil wizard found a place to hide. It was an abandoned house close to the busy streets. Next, the evil wizard walked out of the place at midnight.

Compared to the daytime, the movement of people was scarce at night. Also, the patrolling of the guards happened from time to time.

The old man needed a few wizards for his evil magic spell. It didn’t take long for the old man to capture five middle-aged male wizards.

Their strengths were between Level-7 and Level-8. They were easily caught by him because the old man was a Magic Lord.

I continued to read the books in the bookstore. The Zero Puppet had recorded the information present in those books.

But so far, none of the information matched the description. So, it needed more information to compare.

At the same time, Patrick, Hank, and Otto continued to look for books. They had visited almost all the official bookstores.

But they still thought there were a few left out. They didn’t go to the store where their Master was studying.

Instead, they started asking around for other shops.

More and more people went missing at midnight. All of them were male wizards in their middle ages.

The missing people’s families filed a complaint. Only then did the City Administration find something wrong. They started taking this matter seriously.

That night, Patrick, Hank, and Otto returned to the hotel. They were waiting for their Master to come.

On the other hand, I walked out of the store. I had finished reading the majority of the books here. Only after leaving the bookstore did I sigh in relief.

The bookstore owner found out that I was looking for something. That’s why I had been coming here daily to find information in the books.

But I denied it. The middle-aged man didn’t ask further. I’m not even sure if that place exists. If it does, then I will leave the city right away.

I continued walking on foot towards the hotel.

The system voice sounded in my mind. The next second, I felt goosebumps all over my body.

Then, I looked around and saw a few shops were still open. I immediately entered the nearest restaurant.

I asked the system to check whether the Magic Lord was looking at me. The answer came back positive. Then, I immediately found the storeroom and entered inside.

I confirmed that the gaze was no longer there. I didn’t know whether Otto could listen to me. Since the hotel was near, he could hear my voice.

Then, I started giving commands in a commanding tone. One of the four crimson orbs in my mind throbbed.

Hank, Patrick, and Otto were in the room. Otto felt pain from the mana core. The crimson orb reacted. His face changed drastically.

Then he heard something. There were countless voices outside. He started listening to them. From the voices, he heard the voice of the Master.

Only then was he able to relax.

Patrick and Hank noticed something was wrong.

A few minutes later,

Otto said, “An Evil Magic Lord has spotted Master. He seems to be following the Master.”

“What?” Patrick uttered in shock.

Hank was dumbfounded. His expression showed fear and disbelief.

They couldn’t believe that their Master had come across a Magic Lord.

Otto then said, “It’s true. But he is fine. He has asked us not to go outside. He will come back in the morning.”

“We have to help him,” Hank said.

Patrick then thought of something and said, “Master has a spatial treasure. He will be fine. If we go outside, it will be dangerous for us.”
