Inside the store room, the system warning sound was still ringing in my head. Then I appeared inside the Gregor Mansion.

I entered the control room and arrived in front of the control mirror.

The dark root vine monster was awake this time. It could see that the Master had appeared. But he went to another room.

It was curious. But it couldn’t go to another place without his order. So it closed its eyes again.

On the control mirror, the store room appeared to be clear. But I had a feeling that someone would come.

A few seconds later,

An old man entered the store room in a hurry. He started searching the room frantically. In the Gregor Mansion, my expression was serious.

The system confirmed that the old man was the Evil Magic Lord. I couldn’t believe that the old man had followed me to the store room.

Looking at the old man’s expression, he was sure that I had entered the store room. I underestimated the mental power of the Magic Lord.

He could have sensed me.

Fortunately, I used the Gregor Mansion at the right time.

Outside,

The old man was confused. He was sure that he had spotted the young man here. Yet there was no one inside the store room.

The staff noticed that the old man had entered their store room and was causing some problems. They went to the old man to drive him away.

But the old man was already pissed off. He was sure that he had seen the young man entering the shop. He needed such young blood with level-9 strength for his sacrifice.

Then the power of his evil magic spell would become strong. Yet the young man was nowhere to be found. He had missed him.

When the staff came to trouble him, he got more angry. He had hidden his strength. Even if a small amount of mana leaked, then the Magic Lord and Supreme Wizards would be alerted.

He controlled his anger and walked out of the shop. He had plenty of options. It didn’t take long for him to find another middle-aged wizard for sacrifice.

He then went back to his hideout.

The following day,

I appeared outside and left the shop. Then I started going back. It didn’t take long for me to return to the hotel.

After reaching the room, I found Hank, Patrick and Otto were awake. They were in the room waiting for me.

“Master!”

Upon seeing me, they sighed in relief and greeted me.

“Master, what happened?” Otto asked.

Patrick and Hank were looking towards me.

Then I sat on the sofa and started explaining to them what happened.

A few minutes later,

Three of their faces did not look good. Their eyes were filled with horror.

“Magic Lord was someone who could cause huge destruction. He can wipe out the city in an instant. But here, an Evil Wizard has come,” Otto said.

“I think that Evil Wizard was up to something. He tried to get you. There are also reports of missing people. Master, I think we should leave the city,” he added.

“Master, I think there is going to be a crisis here. We should leave before getting caught up in the situation,” Patrick said.

“The locals didn’t have a clue. The Evil Wizard must have come here with bad intentions,” Hank said.

Seeing that Patrick and Hank had started saying the same, I raised my eyebrows.

We can’t fight against the Magic Lord. If the Magic Lord uses one magic spell, then the whole city would be destroyed.

I fell into deep contemplation. I was part of the Mage Union and a member of the Silver Tower.

I can’t leave the city just like that. The situation back at the Sand Fall City was different. The magic existence which had caused destruction was a powerful giant entity.

So we had no choice other than to flee from the place.

I took a deep breath before taking out the digital device. There was a signal.

Seeing that, I heaved a sigh of relief. Then I used the device and made a call to Manager Lara.

Patrick, Hank and Otto noticed this. They stood up and left the room.

The call was connected. Manager Lara answered the call. She was surprised that Vincent made a call.

“Vincent, what are you doing?”

“Where have you been?” Lara asked.

She wanted to call him earlier. But she didn’t have time to do that. She was always under watch. The faction leaders were waiting to see whether she would contact anyone.

Right now, she was at her friend’s place. She was outside of the Silver Tower. So she was answering the call without worry.

“Manager Lara, I’m facing some trouble. But first tell me what’s going on there?” I asked her.

“The situation here remains the same. Both the Lords have yet to come. The elders from other factions were watching me. That’s why I didn’t call you. Right now, I’m at my friend’s home,” Lara replied.

Hearing that, I felt disappointed. I had thought both the forbidden wizards had returned. It appears I can’t go back to the magic city during the current circumstances.

“What’s the problem you are facing right now?” she asked.

I heard her question. But I didn’t know whether it was okay to tell her. If the matter was leaked, then my current whereabouts would be leaked as well.

“It’s nothing. I can handle it. If there is improvement in the situation, then tell me,” I replied.

Lara doubted. She thought Vincent Carey was hiding something from her. But she didn’t press further.

“Alright, if you need something you can ask me,” she said.

“Alright,” After saying that, I ended the call.

Lara shook her head. She thought Vincent would ask about Susan, Wilfred and Jason. But it didn’t happen. She thought Vincent Carey was still angry about it.

Likewise, the trio were feeling guilty. They had made accusations without thinking thoroughly. She then returned to her friend.

On the other hand, I put back the digital device inside the storage bracelet.
