Chapter 1731: Crimson Order

Thornside City Ruin

After speaking with the old man, I walked into the city. My goal was the City Lord’s office. I believed there must be a library located there.

It could be in ruins, but I was going to find it. I started going towards the City Lord’s office.

As I started walking on the street, I noticed important things. For example, there was no sign of powerful wizards.

I’m the only one with Supreme-level strength. It didn’t take long for me to reach the City Lord’s office.

The whole building was under a pile of rubble. My gaze swept over the place. Apart from me, no one was here.

My actions won’t be suspicious, so I used the system function to scan the place. The system results came.

Among the rubble, the library room was included as well. Then I entered the ruin and began to look for the library books.

As time went by, I used the function of the system to collect the books and other notes. Most of them were destroyed. But there were a few intact books lying on the ground here and there.

A few hours later,

I completed the search and collected the intact books. Since the work here was done, I started walking towards the city.

On the way, I overheard the conversation of the people. The people in the city had migrated to the nearby cities.

Hearing that, I was not surprised. I’m glad most of the people had escaped the calamity. After reaching the main gate, I turned towards the few people sitting outside.

I asked why they were staying here. But their reply was rather emotional. They had grown up in the city and they wanted to rest here as well.

Hearing that, I sighed inwardly.

My gaze swept over the place. I did not find any children. It was good news. The able-bodied people have left the city.

“What should I do now?” I asked myself.

A quick gleam appeared in my eyes. The scene of the Magic City appeared in my mind. Since I am a Supreme Wizard now.

My importance and place in the Silver Tower will be further solidified. I have yet to hear from Manager Lara.

If the news about my breakthrough were to reach their ears, I’m sure they will return to the Silver Tower.

After making the decision, I felt a huge weight lifted off my shoulder. I should not be running anymore. It’s time to face the challenges in the Magic City.

After leaving the place, I found a random direction and continued moving in that path. It didn’t take long for me to reach a barren place.

Then I went inside the Gregor Mansion and entered the hall. I told my decision to Patrick, Otto, and the Vine Monster.

They agreed to my decision. They wanted to live in the Magic City as well.

I asked Patrick and Otto to watch over Hank. Then I brought Otto outside. I wanted to avoid all troubles until we reached the Magic City.

Next, I brought the Raven aircraft outside.

“Finally, we are going to have a smooth journey,” Otto commented.

Then I entered the aircraft and sat in the cockpit. Otto entered the cabin next.

I turned on the engine and set the destination. The aircraft rose above the ground. It appeared in mid-air. Then it started moving towards the destination.

Not long after, I turned on stealth mode.

The next second, the aircraft became transparent. No one could see it from the outside, unless they spread their mental power to locate the aircraft.

I told Otto to be aware of the surroundings. I didn’t want any trouble to occur midway.

After instructing him, I tried connecting to Manager Lara. But it didn’t happen. I decided to try again later.

As time went by, the aircraft continued to fly across the sky.

Days passed by.

When the aircraft left the remote region and entered the skies of the prosperous region, the air traffic increased.

In the cockpit, I saw numerous cargo ships and passenger airships. They had increased in numbers. But their speed was slow.

Because of that, we didn’t cross paths with them. Just as I thought everything was going smoothly…

“Master!”

I heard the voice of Otto. He sounded rather impatient.

“What is it?” I asked, sitting in the cockpit.

“Master, I overheard conversations. There is an aircraft carrier coming in our direction. They seem to be Wizards from nearby forces,” Otto said in a solemn tone.

“Aircraft carrier?” I raised my eyebrows in surprise.

To afford and maintain an aircraft carrier was not an ordinary thing. If they have the resources to buy such a thing, then they are not unknown and must have connections with the Mage Union.

“Don’t worry, I’ll take care of it,” I said to him.

There is no reason to hide and travel anymore. Even if it’s troublesome to handle, I’ll take care of it.

On the other hand, a red and black carrier was moving forward. There were wizards on board.

There were 20 Level-8 to Level-9 Wizards assembled on the carrier. They were dressed in red and black wizard robes.

Three Elders were standing in front of them. Two old men and one old woman. They were dressed in complete red Elder uniforms.

They are from a 1st Tier faction called the Crimson Order. Their founder and higher-ups have decided to investigate Sandfall City and Thornside City.

They had got the news that both cities had fallen under mysterious circumstances. They were told to find out the truth so that whatever the problem was, it wouldn’t reach the prosperous region.

The red and black carrier was moving in mid-air without any problem.

The old woman had been using her mental power to monitor the surroundings. If there was any ambush situation, she would know immediately.

Their organization, the Crimson Order, had their enemies as well. They didn’t want to be caught off guard. They had encountered ambushes before, but they had wiped out all the enemies.
