Gravity Mage with Level-Up System - Chapter 1743: Entering the Dust City!

Chapter 1743: Entering the Dust City!
From MC Perspective
Dust City
The flying salamander landed on the ground outside the city. I told the old man, Rock, to change his clothes to hide his identity. I also gave him a mask to cover his face.
Old man Rock agreed to stay here with the flying salamander. He didn’t want to go near the main gate, let alone go inside the city.
Swoosh!
My body shifted from the spot, and I appeared on the road leading to the main gate.
I was sure Forbidden Wizard Remi must be in the city, so I wore the mask to cover my face. He wouldn’t have imagined that I would become a Supreme Wizard this soon.
He could have employed people to identify me, so I became vigilant. Various vehicles, including modern ones and old caravans, could be seen outside the city.
My gaze swept over the surroundings as I walked. My eyes spotted several airships.
As expected, Dust City was one of the most famous cities in the Dark Territory. Even modern vehicles could be seen here. I didn’t see any aircraft or carriers, though; otherwise, the city would have looked like a Magic City.
By the time I finished observing my surroundings, I reached the main gate. People were standing in line. I raised my eyebrows at the sight of different groups of wizards.
I spotted wandering wizards standing in queues, but on the other side, there were wizards wearing rich clothes in a separate line.
These rich wizards were not ordinary; they were Level-9 Wizards. More than twenty wizards from various forces were ready to enter the city.
I stood in the line for wandering wizards. I didn’t want to expose my identity.
Time passed.
One after another, the wandering wizards were allowed to enter. They had to pay a fee; it was not a free entry.
At the same time, I paid attention to the rich wizards. I didn’t know which magic forces they were from, as their attire was unfamiliar.
Suddenly, I overheard a conversation. My gaze fell on an old man ordering the city guards. When I perceived his strength, a twinkle gleamed in my eyes.
“Supreme,” I said to myself.
The old man was a Supreme Wizard. He was not ordinary. I continued to eavesdrop. He was speaking to the guards.
“Remember this picture. If you see this person, inform me immediately,” the old man told them. “Remember, he is a Level-9 Wizard,” he added before leaving.
The guards returned to their positions and began to check every wizard below the Supreme level thoroughly. When it came to Supreme Wizards, they didn’t stop them; they respectfully allowed them to enter.
Time passed.
It didn’t take long for my turn to come. The guards saw I was a Supreme Wizard; the pressure radiating from me alerted them. I thought they would ask for the entry fee, but they didn’t ask for anything and allowed me to pass.
My mouth curved into an arc. I didn’t enter the city immediately; instead, I looked around and saw the same old man from earlier. I thought that by following him, I could find Forbidden Wizard Remi, but I decided that was unnecessary.
Instead, I decided to use Otto’s help. I went to a nearby luxury restaurant that had private rooms. Upon entering, I was greeted by the manager. He sensed my level, and I told him to lead me to a private room.
We went to the third floor and entered one of the rooms. I told the manager to send the staff back in half an hour, as I had a call to make.
The manager understood; powerful wizards need their privacy. He respectfully left the room. I then scanned the place using the System. I didn’t find any flaws or hidden gadgets.
Swoosh!
A second later, I appeared inside the Gregor Mansion. Hank, Otto, Patrick, and the Vine Monster were in the hall. When they saw me, they greeted me.
“Master, where are we right now?” Otto asked.
“Dust City. One of the famous cities in the Dark Territory. I need your help with something. I’ll explain it to the rest of you later,” I said. Then, I took Otto and warped back outside.
We appeared in the private room.
“I need you to find Manager Lara. A Forbidden Wizard named Remi has imprisoned her in the city. See if anyone is talking about her,” I told him.
Hearing that, Otto was dumbfounded. He looked toward me with a respectful gaze. Otto thought the Master was confronting a Forbidden Wizard immediately after my breakthrough. He began using his magic.
I didn’t disturb him. Instead, I used the System function to scan the city. A few seconds later, the results appeared in my mind.
My pupils shrank. According to the System, there were not just one, but two Forbidden Wizards in the city.
One was Forbidden Wizard Remi. The other was located in the center of the city. He must be the City Lord; otherwise, it wouldn’t make sense.
Why would anyone at the level of a Forbidden Wizard live in the Dark Territory? Even if they were from the Dark Faction, there are other strongholds.
If a Forbidden Wizard was here, they were either the City Lord or someone here with ulterior motives.
What was more puzzling was that Forbidden Wizard Remi was operating freely here. I didn’t know if the two of them knew each other.
Meanwhile, Otto’s magic covered most of the city. His magic caught a conversation regarding Manager Lara. As he gathered more information, his expression turned grave. Fine beads of sweat appeared on his forehead.
I collected my thoughts and looked at him. Seeing his serious expression, my gaze narrowed. I was sure he had found something.
But I waited patiently for him to finish the task.
A few minutes later,
Otto recovered his thoughts. He took a deep breath before organising the information in his mind.
He then raised his head and looked towards Master Vincent.
