Gravity Mage with Level-Up System - Chapter 1745: Entering the City Lord Mansion!

Chapter 1745: Entering the City Lord Mansion!
From MC’s Perspective
Inside the room, I appeared within the Gregor Mansion. In the hall, I met with Hank, Otto, Patrick, and the Vine Monster.
“I’m in Dust City to rescue the Manager of my Magic Tower,” I said. After that, I began to explain the backstory.
A few minutes later, everyone had a dreadful expression on their faces. They hadn’t expected the enemy of their Master Vincent to be a Forbidden Wizard.
“Master, what about your higher-ups? Can you contact them for help?” Patrick asked.
I shook my head before saying, “It hasn’t been long since I joined the Magic Towers. There are factions inside the Magic Towers as well, so I’m not going to call them for help.”
“As for the known Forbidden Wizards, they are outside the city. I’m not sure whether they are in a position to come back.”
When it came to the Elders, they were busy with a Mage Union mission. I only knew Elder Dana, and it was even more impossible to ask for help from them.
The faces of Otto, Patrick, and Hank changed drastically. The old Vine Monster was silent as well. The Vine Monster was ancient; it had seen many powerful wizards during its prime, so it knew the terror of Forbidden Wizards.
Everyone was quiet.
Hank had been happy earlier because of his breakthrough. He had thought he could help Master Vincent after becoming a Supreme Wizard.
Yet, he was scared now after hearing about the Forbidden Wizard. He felt he was still too weak.
Patrick and Otto felt the same. They didn’t know what to do; both of them felt helpless.
The old Vine Monster didn’t know what to say, but it sensed a calm and collected feeling from Master Vincent. It meant Master Vincent had a plan. Sensing this, the Vine Monster relaxed.
….
Meanwhile
As time went by that midnight, the streets outside the City Lord’s mansion were empty. Yet, there were dark faction members hiding in the shadows of the buildings.
They were watching the hotel near the mansion; their target was staying inside.
They hadn’t received orders from the higher-ups yet. The old man, the leader of the team, appeared once again.
His gaze fell on the hotel. It was not easy to storm a hotel and capture a Supreme Wizard. A fight would definitely break out, and it would alert the people at the City Lord’s mansion.
There were Magic Lords and Forbidden Wizards inside. They would definitely intervene.
If their faction wanted to take action, they would have to get permission from the City Lord. If not, they would have to wait for the Supreme Wizard to leave the city.
The old man’s eyes flashed with a glint of frustration. He decided to speak with the higher-ups again. He didn’t think the outsider Supreme Wizard would leave the hotel anytime soon.
…
After speaking with the team, I appeared in the hotel room again. I walked up to the window and looked at the City Lord’s mansion and the empty streets below.
I used the system function again to confirm the presence of Manager Lara in the mansion’s prison cell.
The system results came back positive. I felt it was the right time to enter the city lord mansion. If not for the people following me, I would have entered already. Now, I had to think about shaking them off. I couldn’t delay any longer.
I opened the window and jumped out. I used the flight ability to land on the ground, then entered the compound of the neighborhood before slipping inside the Gregor Mansion.
I quickly arrived before the control mirror and asked the system to check whether anyone had noticed my disappearance. People could have been paying attention to the window, but the system results came back negative.
I heaved a sigh of relief. I couldn’t use the mask anymore because it would expose my identity. What should I do? How could I enter the City Lord’s Mansion? I began to ponder. Since I was already here, I couldn’t delay any longer.
Finally, I made the decision to enter the City Lord’s mansion wearing the mask. I ordered the system to shield my presence. I was sure they wouldn’t dare enter the mansion without the City Lord’s permission.
After gaining some clarity, I wore the mask again and appeared outside. I left the compound and used my flight ability to rush toward the City Lord’s mansion.
Swoosh!
In a flash, my body moved toward the mansion like a shooting star.
At the same time, the dark wizards hiding in the shadows saw someone flying toward the mansion.
They saw the person was wearing a mask. It was the same masked man who was their target. Now, he was entering the City Lord’s mansion in the middle of the night.
Gasp!
The dark wizards gasped in surprise. They didn’t know whether to follow or not. It was the City Lord’s mansion; they couldn’t enter without permission.
They informed their higher-ups. When the old man heard the news, he was shocked.
The higher-ups and everyone else had thought the outsider Supreme Wizard was an easy target. They had been planning to capture him as soon as he stepped outside.
This sudden news threw them off guard. Their target had entered the mansion. They didn’t know the Supreme Wizard’s purpose, so they needed to discuss with the other higher-ups whether to inform the City Lord’s people or not.
…
City Lord Mansion
The patrolling wizards saw someone fly over their compound walls and were immediately alerted. They rushed to the scene, but when they arrived, no one was there. The information was shared with the Captains and the Head.
Everyone began to search the entire mansion grounds. They didn’t want anyone to reach the main building.
Meanwhile, I was inside the Gregor Mansion, looking at the control mirror. I watched as the guards searched the area in the mirror.
I’m sure they will deploy available wizards to thoroughly check the area. I didn’t know whether they were going to check the underground prison cell or not.
