Gravity Mage with Level-Up System - Chapter 1758: Crystal City!

Chapter 1758: Crystal City!
From MC Perspective
The Silver Tower
The following day, I followed the daily schedule. Not long after, I went to the mana chamber, but this time I didn’t come across Holden Barrett. I entered the chamber to begin my daily practice.
Meanwhile, Manager Lara saw Vincent Carey entering the chamber on the footage. She knew Holden Barrett hadn’t come today.
She was worried someone else might come across Vincent, but nothing like that happened.
She sighed in relief. Last night, she had called a couple of her friends to learn about the mansions.
She found out there were a few missions available for daily accommodation. She was going to take Vincent Carey outside.
A few hours later, she saw Vincent Carey coming out of the chamber. She called him over and told him about the mansions. They decided to leave in one hour.
One hour later, after getting ready, I wore a mask to cover my identity. I left the room and started walking downstairs.
It didn’t take long for me to reach the sitting area. When I arrived, I saw Manager Lara waiting for me.
“You’ve come. Let’s go,” Manager Lara said.
I nodded to her. We left the Silver Tower and walked out of the main gate. I wasn’t sure whether to take out the Raven Aircraft or not, but then I saw Manager Lara looking at me.
“Alright,” I uttered, before manifesting the Raven Aircraft.
Tud!
The aircraft landed on the ground. Manager Lara opened the cabin and stepped inside. I followed her in and sat by the window seat.
Swoosh!
Manager Lara started operating the vehicle. The aircraft rose from the ground and hovered in mid-air before she drove the vehicle toward our destination.
Meanwhile, the spies who were paying attention to them immediately started sharing the news with their higher-ups. The spies from the Black Tower reported the movement as well.
When the higher-ups learned the news, one of them reported it to the Forbidden Wizard, Remi. Remi was surprised; he didn’t expect Manager Lara to come out so soon. He had thought she would stay low-key.
“Are they trying to lure me out?” Remi thought.
His eyes flashed with a glint. He thought it was possible, how could the Silver Tower just let the matter go?
“They must be targeting me. I should not go out,” Remi thought to himself. He then gave mana stones to his staff and ordered them to continue keeping an eye on them.
…
Crystal City
About 16 minutes later, the Raven Aircraft entered one of the satellite cities around the magic city. The city is called Crystal City.
I saw the city’s infrastructure; there were many high-rise glass buildings shining like crystals.
Each of these buildings had a different structure. Some were square or rectangular, while others were dome-shaped.
As the aircraft went further, my gaze fell on the central city. The buildings there were shining gold. I was stunned.
What’s going on? I used the system power. The system results showed that the building stones were a product of magic.
“This is Crystal City. The city is known for having beautiful buildings and is under the control of the Silver Tower,” Lara said. “The wizards here mostly use earth elemental magic.”
Hearing that, I believed her, because the system said the same thing in my mind.
Swoosh!
The aircraft flew over the central public square. She took the aircraft to the other side of the city.
It didn’t take long to reach a gated community. The community was huge; some of the mansions were surrounded by several acres of empty fields.
The aircraft landed inside one of the mansion properties. My eyes flashed with a glint. Manager Lara really knew what I needed.
My gaze fell on the rectangular mansion. The architecture was something new, I had never seen anything like it before.
Lara turned off the engine and opened the door to step out.
Creak!
I opened the cabin and landed outside. The view became clearer. I immediately used the system to scan the whole place.
A couple of seconds later, the system reported that a middle-aged man in a suit was waiting inside the building.
As we walked towards the door, someone walked outside. It was the middle-aged man from the scan.
“He is the supervisor of the gated community,” Lara said.
My gaze fell on the slightly obese man. The next second, my heart skipped a beat. I felt a hint of danger from him.
“System, what’s going on?” I asked in my mind.
[Ding! The middle-aged man is a Supreme Wizard.]
The system gave me the answer, but the man was behaving quite normally.
“What happened?” Lara asked, noticing my pause.
“It’s nothing,” I uttered.
“Hi. My name is James. I’m the Supervisor of the Crystal Gated Community. No ordinary people can get a home here. But the Silver Tower is different; they control the whole city,” James said with a smile.
Neither of us knew quite how to react to that. Manager Lara didn’t want to waste time.
“Let’s go and check the rooms,” she said.
We walked into the building. My gaze fell on the spacious living room. The air inside felt strangely cold and fresh. Manager Lara noticed my reaction; she saw through my doubts.
She let out a small chuckle before saying, “There is a special stone called an ice stone. It is a product of ice magic and technology. It’s one of the special products of Crystal City. That’s why the air feels different.”
My eyes glinted with understanding. On the other hand, the obese middle-aged man was trying to figure out the identity of the masked man.
He knew who Manager Lara was, and since the masked man clearly needed the mansion, James was curious about who I could be.
So the Supervisor James started paying more attention to the masked man.
On the other hand, I started going towards one room after another. The rooms are wide and spacious as well.
