Gravity Mage with Level-Up System - Chapter 1759: Owning a mansion!

Chapter 1759: Owning a mansion!
From MC Perspective
Mansion
After going through one room after another, I decided to buy this building. It had one more important feature: a fortified basement.
I didn’t know why they built such a basement; no one was going to attack the satellite cities under the Silver Tower, especially Crystal City, which was directly under their protection.
Regardless, the basement was going to be useful to me.
Manager Lara was satisfied with the building as well. She believed no one would come here to bother Vincent Carey.
At the same time, Supervisor James was gathering every detail.
He was keen to find out the identity of the masked man who was likely to be the new owner of this building. Yet, Manager Lara didn’t reveal any name at all.
He could only stay quiet, but he clearly thought he would soon uncover the masked man’s identity.
Shortly afterwards, I said to her, “Manager Lara, I like this building.”
“Let’s finalize the deal,” Manager Lara replied.
She then turned toward Supervisor James and began to discuss the price. Seeing that, I tried to intervene. I didn’t want her to pay for me.
“You can pay me later,” she said, before continuing to negotiate with Supervisor James.
From time to time, he tried to uncover my identity, but he failed in the end.
Manager Lara then handed the pouch of mana stones to him. Supervisor James’s eyes flashed with greed.
He immediately weighed them and confirmed the amount before handing the access card to Manager Lara.
From here on, the person with this card could enter the place. For the time being, she bought the building in her name.
If Vincent’s name were used, his identity would be exposed. Supervisor James then left the premises.
Manager Lara watched his back until he was gone from their sight. Her smile then faded away.
She turned toward me and said, “Be careful of that person. He has been trying to probe your identity from the beginning.”
Hearing that, I wasn’t surprised. I had noticed the middle-aged man’s gaze was off earlier.
“I will be careful,” I replied.
Manager Lara then handed the access card to me.
“You can live here now. If I have time, I’ll come to see you from time to time,” Lara said with a smile.
“Manager, what about the forces here?” I asked.
It was better to understand the power structure in the city. I didn’t want them spying on me on behalf of the Elemental Towers or the Black Tower.
Manager Lara sat down on the sofa. “Sit down; it’s going to take a while to explain,” she said.
I sat opposite her.
“The wizard families here are allied forces of the Silver Tower. However, there are a few family members who have joined different magic towers because of their awakened magic,” she explained.
“So, you will definitely find Elemental Wizards in Crystal City. But don’t worry about them. There are rules here, especially for wizards from other magic towers. They can’t cross the red line.”
Hearing that, my racing heart calmed down. It was better than facing a group of Elemental Wizards.
Manager Lara then thought of something, and her expression changed drastically.
“Don’t interact with the families here. If they find out your identity, they will definitely sell it for a huge price,” she warned.
I sighed. She didn’t know that I had my team. As long as there wasn’t a Forbidden Wizard curious about my identity, I could be at ease.
“Manager Lara, is there any way to stop a Forbidden Wizard from using the space layers here?” I asked.
Lara was taken aback. When she looked at him, her eyes flashed with a gleam.
She said, “Unfortunately, if a Forbidden Wizard ever tried to come here, nobody could stop the person. As far as I know, you don’t know any other Forbidden Wizards apart from Lord Erwin and Charlotte.”
“I’m worried that Forbidden Wizards from other towers could come here. I doubt anyone would stop them,” I said.
“It’s troublesome. It has never happened before. Nobody uses the power of space layers inside magic city territory. In your case, you have to be prepared for everything,” she replied.
We spoke for a few more minutes before she decided to leave. Before departing, she gave me a small piece of advice: she wanted me to visit the Silver Tower often.
I agreed to her request and watched her leave. Once she was gone, I used the system power again to check the area.
There were no problems with the house, and no one from the outside was spying right now.
Swoosh!
I went inside the Gregor Mansion and brought everyone outside. Otto, Hank, Patrick, Rock, the Vine Monster, and the Sky Salamander appeared.
Gasp!
A small exclamation occurred. Patrick and the others realized that this was the new home their Master had been talking about.
“Master, this house looks good. It appears the latest technology has been used here as well,” Otto said, feeling the ice cold air.
“There are many rooms here. I can sense a huge underground basement,” Patrick added.
Hank and Rock performed their own inspections. They were all happy, and both monsters understood the situation.
There was a vast field outside that was also part of the home. Before they could rush forward, I blocked their path.
“What are you guys doing? If you want to die, go ahead and go outside,” I said to the monsters.
Both monsters were shocked. Patrick, Otto, Hank, and Rock stopped what they were doing and turned toward me.
“Let me tell you about the city,” I said. I began to explain the local forces and the dangers they posed to us.
Ten minutes later,
“Master, we understand,” both monsters communicated.
I sighed in relief. I didn’t want them wandering outside while I was away.
“Master, I will plant various poisonous magic plants in the fields. Apart from us, no one will know about it. I doubt anyone would dare to enter,” Otto said.
“I can set up various traps,” Patrick added, intending to use his bandit experience to protect the place.
“I will help widen the underground space,” Hank offered.
“A Magic Lord’s pressure is enough to drive away the flies,” Rock said confidently.
The two monsters then signaled that they would help as well.
