After returning from Crystal City, Manager Lara has been doing her work in the Silver Tower. No one has caused problems for her.

While performing her routine, she paid attention to everyone. Lara was glad that no one noticed her visit to Crystal City.

Otherwise, they might find out something about the masked man.

If someone dug up information about him, there would be a chance for them to find out the truth. But so far, nothing like that has happened. The same could not be said for the future.

She was not completely at ease.

She knows about Crystal City and the power structure there. If people were to know a new owner lives in their neighborhood, they would definitely do something to get close to Vincent Carey.

She hadn’t forgotten the eyes of Supervisor James. His eyes were always trying to probe for information on Vincent Carey.

If not for her identity as the Manager of the Silver Tower, he would have definitely asked about him. She suspected that Supervisor James could reveal her involvement to other Wizard Families.

In the house, everyone has settled down. We are having normal days now, but I have not stepped outside of the building.

After not leaving the house for a few days, I made up my mind to explore the city. I used Otto’s help to scan the gated community. Otto didn’t find anyone prying into our new house.

So, I decided to take Otto with me. Before leaving, I told the members to behave and not to go outside.

I had already explained the situation a couple of days ago. During my absence, I put the Magic Lord Rock in charge.

With him in charge, I doubt others would cause problems. He also believes that no one would enter his house. Magic Lord Rock’s pressure was enough to scare them.

I left the building alone. Otto was staying inside the Gregor Mansion. There is a long stretch of road ahead connecting to the entrance.

I’m walking on the footpath. At the same time, I’m using the system’s functions to scan the surroundings. At this point, it has also become a habit. It didn’t take long to reach the gate. There were two guards stationed there.

The two guards saw my mask and recognized me. They didn’t ask for ID; they greeted me before opening the gate. Seeing that, I was surprised. It appears that everyone knows about me. Then, I came to the main road.

The crystal gated community was surrounded by huge compound walls. There are safety measures in place so that no one is able to sneak inside. Thus, the atmosphere inside the gated community was peaceful.

But I could hear the street noise now. My gaze wanders over the place. Exactly opposite me, there is a series of different types of shops. I found that a few shops were receiving customers.

The other shops are open, but they are not receiving many customers. My eyes scanned the shop names before finding a normal store. The store’s front was empty. No one was at the entrance.

Seeing that, I crossed the road to the other side. Since I’m the one wearing a mask, the passersby were looking at me. I ignored their gazes and continued to walk toward the store.

Once I reached the entrance, I saw the shop was open. I opened the door and walked in. My gaze fell on the old woman seated behind the desk.

When I sensed her strength, my heart skipped a beat. A seemingly normal-looking old woman was actually a Supreme Wizard.

When was the last time I spotted a Supreme Wizard behind the desk of a random store?

The old woman opened her eyes. Her gaze fell on the masked man. Her eyes flashed with a glint.

She didn’t expect to meet a young powerhouse here. How could the strength of a Supreme level have been hidden from her eyes?

“Young man, do you need any help?” she asked.

“No, I just came to look around the shop,” I replied.

“Take your time,” she replied before closing her eyes.

I controlled my emotions before stepping further inside. The store was like any other. They had items displayed in the gallery.

My inner curiosity awakened. I forgot the previous episode and began to look at each item one by one.

As the seconds went by, I moved from one glass shelf to another.

The old woman, though her eyes were closed, knew what was going on. The masked young man’s activities drew her attention. She was curious about his background.

“I wonder which family’s child has come out for practice?” she thought.

She continued to observe the masked man.

On the other hand, I did come across many rare items. The store was not an ordinary store; items used by wizards were stored here.

Some of them included items used by dark wizards. If not for the system, I wouldn’t have noticed it.

I didn’t forget to scan the store for gravity-related resources, but the store didn’t have any.

I collected my thoughts and decided to leave. When I checked the time, I found it had been more than half an hour.

I came to the entrance and saw that the old woman was awake, no longer sleeping.

“Young man, did you find anything useful?” she asked.

“Yeah, I did find some interesting items. I will buy them next time.” After saying that, I left the shop. I didn’t know anything about the old woman, so I felt it was not good to reveal information about myself.

To find out more, I left the shop and found an isolated place not far away. Then, I brought Otto outside and asked him to monitor the shop.
