Gravity Mage with Level-Up System - Chapter 1764 1764: Part 2: Pet shop purchase

From MC Perspective
Pet Shop
The staff member came back into the room. Otto handed the device back to him.
“I need corpses and crystal gems of Salamander and Vine monster types, 6th order and above,” Otto said to the staff member.
Hearing that, the staff member revealed a bright smile. These were not particularly rare monsters; they kept most kinds of monsters in their facility.
“Guest, we have both Salamander and Vine monster types. However, further negotiations must go through the manager. I’ll go and invite him.” After saying that, the staff member left the room.
At the same time, the Infinite Circle people were looking for their target on the third floor. Their leader was keeping an eye on the guest rooms on each floor.
Earlier, he realized there was a chance the targets had entered a guest room, since they had entered the pet shop. They must have bought something important.
He had been keeping an eye on the first and second floors, but when he asked around, he found out from other staff that no one had entered those rooms.
The next second, he went to the third floor. He knew there was no reason for the staff to lie to him.
When he reached the third floor, he saw that it was empty. The middle-aged man hesitated. Someone could be watching his movements. He debated whether to knock on the doors one by one.
His men were on the floors below, and a few were waiting outside as well. Just as he thought of knocking, he heard footsteps coming from behind.
Swoosh!
He turned around and walked back. The middle-aged man came across the staff member and an old man dressed in a suit. He recognized the old man; he was one of the managers here. What was worse? Both of them knew each other.
The old man saw the leader, and his eyes flashed with surprise.
“What are you doing here?” the manager asked.
The middle-aged man was taken aback. He paused and then said, “I came here to check whether any of our members have come here.”
The old man didn’t like that at all. He had been watching their activities just a minute ago.
He said, “I know what you guys are doing here. It appears you are targeting someone again. If the owner finds out about this, he will demand compensation from your leader. You guys are disturbing business here,” the old man said in a cold tone.
The middle-aged man’s expression darkened. He knew his movements could be watched by the higher-ups. He took a deep breath before saying, “I’m taking my men back.”
The old man nodded to him. The middle-aged man then left the place, taking his men with him shortly after.
The staff member and the old man entered the guest room. The old man’s gaze fell on the Supreme Wizard and the masked young man. His gaze narrowed.
He thought the guests must come from a powerful background. The manager himself was a Supreme Wizard, yet he felt a threat from the masked man.
“I’m one of the managers here. I heard the guests are looking for monster corpses,” the old man said before sitting opposite them.
“Yes, we want the corpses of Salamander and Vine type monsters,” Otto said to the old man.
At the same time, I observed everything from the side.
The manager confirmed the request and took out his device to check the stock list. He typed in “Salamander” and “Vine Monster.” The lists appeared on the screen. He saw that they did indeed have corpses of both in the facility.
The old man smiled and said, “We do have monster corpses in our facility. We have corpses of the 7th and 8th orders. However, we don’t have any corpses above that order,” the old man added.
Hearing that, I sighed in relief. At least we wouldn’t have to return empty-handed.
“If you want corpses of a higher order, we can get them for you,” the old man added in a calm tone.
Otto smiled and said, “Yes, we do need higher-order monster corpses. But for now, we will buy the available ones.”
The old man then said, “We have eight monster corpses in total. Three are Salamander types and five are Vine monster types. The total cost is 10,000 top-grade mana stones.”
Otto handed him the pouch. The old man accepted it and confirmed the amount. He then nodded to the staff member.
The staff member smiled, happy that the deal was successful. He left the room to bring the storage container.
The old man in the room called someone and informed them of the successful deal so they would hand the container over to the staff.
Meanwhile, the Infinite Circle people had not left the area. The target was highly valuable.
Earlier, they only had an assumption, but the middle-aged man now thought the target might have used their wealth to buy items from the pet shop.
Apart from the guest rooms, they had searched every nook and corner but hadn’t found the target.
This led the middle-aged man to believe the target was wealthy. It was unfortunate that one of the managers had noticed their activities.
The middle-aged man stood with the other members. He once again tried to contact the higher-ups of the Association, yet he failed again. He was confused; no one was answering the call.
He knew there could be a reason behind it, but he couldn’t imagine anything more important than finding a Supreme Wizard-level target for the Association.
He then decided to deal with the situation alone. Even if he informed the higher ups, then his credit will be taken by someone.
Instead, it’s better for him to achieve the goal alone. He knows it’s not easy to confront a Supreme Wizard in the city. He will think of a way soon.
“Hmph,” he snorted.
He began to watch the pet shop entrance. At any moment, their target could walk out. The other members were excited as well.
