Chapter 1765: Great buy!

It didn’t take long for the staff to return with a storage container. The small container held the corpses of the monsters.

The staff handed it to the old manager first. The manager checked the container before giving it to Otto. Otto took the container and viewed the contents. After confirming, he stored it in his bracelet.

Seeing that, I smiled. The trip was worth it; they were able to buy the needed resources. After the transaction ended, they decided to leave. Otto thanked the old man.

I felt the gaze of the old man, but it was normal. It didn’t have ill intentions.

A few minutes later,

We left the shop. Just as we reached the main road, the system gave me a warning.

[Ding! Warning!]

[Ding! Killing intent was detected]

Then I saw a group of wizards standing under a tree not far from the shop.

“Master, they were waiting for us,” Otto said. He had already overheard their conversation.

“Don’t pay attention to them. Just follow me.” After saying that, we started walking side by side.

I asked the system in my mind to find an isolated place. There is a small road behind the shop buildings. Currently, no one was using the path. I led Otto towards that place.

On the other hand, the Infinite Circle members had started following their target.

After reaching the path behind the shop building, I checked the area for any dangers. Seeing that the place was safe, I brought Otto inside the Gregor Mansion.

Then I appeared outside, found another small path, and started moving through it.

The Infinite Circle members were coming from behind. The middle-aged leader and his members followed the path to reach the backside of the building.

The middle-aged man suddenly found that their target was not there. He looked around and found another small path leading elsewhere.

His expression turned gloomy. He didn’t want to cause a commotion near the pet shop. The background of the pet shop was strong; even their leader had to agree to their words.

So, he quickly led his men along the small path. At the same time, he used his mental power to find the Supreme, but there was no sign of the person.

On the other hand, I reached the end of the small path and came to the main street. From there, I found a cab and asked the driver to drop me at the Crystal Gated Community.

About 20 minutes later, the cab stopped in front of the main gate. I stepped out of the car and paid the fare. Then I turned towards the main gate.

The two guards were still there. They looked at me and nodded before opening the gate. I was still wearing my mask. I nodded back in response before walking through.

Then I started heading back towards the house. I had completely fooled the gang members. They must be looking for us somewhere else.

My mouth curved into an arc. It didn’t take long for me to reach the house. I used the system to check the place again. After confirming the surroundings were safe, I entered the house. Then, I brought Otto out.

“Master, what happened to them?” he asked.

“I left the place without alerting them. They must be searching for us now,” I told him.

Otto didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. His master wanted to play weak. If he had wanted to, he could have killed them.

The next second, everyone appeared: Hank, Patrick, Rock, the Vine Monster, and the Sky Salamander.

I told Otto to distribute the items. Everyone first received a digital device for communication, except the monsters.

After that, Otto provided the necessary items. Both the Vine Monster and the Sky Salamander were eager to get something as well.

“We bought items for you as well,” I said to them.

Otto smiled and took out the storage container.

“I don’t want to take these items out here. Come with me to the basement.” After saying that, Otto led the two monsters to the basement.

Then everyone left for their rooms, except for Magic Lord Rock.

“Rock, what happened?” I asked.

“Master, you were right. Someone did try to cause trouble during your absence,” Rock said in a solemn tone.

Hearing that, my eyes turned cold.

“Supervisor James was monitoring the house from the neighborhood. But he didn’t dare to come up here,” Rock said.

“It’s him,” I uttered.

How could I forget that person? It seems Manager Lara’s deterrence was not enough. If left unchecked, this person might cause problems.

“I’m going to see him tonight,” I said to the old man.

Hearing that, Rock understood. He offered his help, but I rejected it. I told him to focus on his recovery. If I needed his help, I would call him.

Time goes by,

The Infinite Circle members returned to their Association empty-handed. The middle-aged man was the most disappointed.

He wanted to get the credit alone. In the end, not only did he fail to keep track of them, he lost them entirely.

He didn’t know whether they were outsiders or not. If they were outsiders, the Supreme wizard would have already left the area. In other words, they had totally wasted their time.

The middle-aged man and his team eventually learned the reason behind the unanswered calls.

There had been an internal fight within the organization. A certain person and his followers were defeated today.

Hearing that, the middle-aged man was shocked. He was glad he hadn’t supported anyone in particular. Otherwise, his fate would be like others today.
