Gravity Mage with Level-Up System - Chapter 1767: Part 1: Appraisal Shop opening

Chapter 1767: Part 1: Appraisal Shop opening
From MC Perspective
“Association?” I uttered.
She was finally willing to mention the word “Association.”
Rebecca thought that news of the Association was a secret matter, only circulated among the upper circle.
She said, “There are many wizard associations in the magic city and surrounding satellite cities. It’s just a group of wizards formed by like-minded people.”
“Some circles are formed by groups of friends. There are others formed by business people. So, there are different types of association people,” she added.
“Unlike the large wizard forces like the Magic Towers, families, and clans, an association has a small group of people. But they are all extremely united.”
“Some associations are even feared by the Magic Tower people. Even though Supervisor James belongs to a medium-level association, his backers can confront Manager Lara.”
“So you have to be careful,” she said.
Hearing that, I was happy. She shared this information in a short amount of time. I thanked her before saying, “I’ll be careful. Thank you for telling me.”
Rebecca smiled and said, “If Manager Lara ever comes to your home, don’t forget to invite me.”
Hearing that, I nodded to her before leaving. I started heading back towards my residence.
Rebecca watched my back until I left her sight.
“Frank is not ordinary. All this time, I’ve been feeling a sense of crisis from him. I have given him information; I hope he remembers the favor,” she muttered to herself before returning inside.
On the other hand, I reached the building. After entering, I gathered everyone and told them about the neighborhood.
The matter of the Association was like any small club, but the people in that club were powerful wizards with backgrounds.
“Master, it appears we cannot deal with this person anytime soon,” Magic Lord Rock said.
“He knows I have someone from the Silver Tower backing me. They won’t cause any problems directly.”
“Once I figure out the power of his Association, then I will act,” I said to them.
We chatted about a few things before I returned to my room. I laid down on my bed and began to think about future plans.
I couldn’t hide my team members forever. Sooner or later, someone would find out about their existence. My initial goal was to start an organization and have them work for me.
That goal hadn’t changed. Maybe I should start the organization here. Let them work inside the home.
I had the identity of an appraiser. It had been a long time since I used it. I could have the members working as my staff.
With that identity, I could walk around the city. The more I thought about it, the more I felt it was a good plan.
But I decided to discuss it with Manager Lara first. I took my device out and called her.
Manager Lara answered the call. A second later, I started discussing the plan with her. I didn’t hide anything about the organization.
With the identity of an appraiser, I could move around the city freely. If my real identity were exposed, I could face a lot of attacks.
Then I told her about the neighborhood and Supervisor James’s actions. If not for the warning from Rebecca Ethan, I would have underestimated him.
“The Association matter is a headache. But if they knew your real identity, they wouldn’t dare to make a fuss,” Lara said.
“Manager, I want to use the identity of an appraiser not only to live in Crystal City but to go around the Magic City as well,” I replied.
“Okay, then I will record your information as my relative. You can start your business as usual. I will come on the inauguration day to raise your credibility,” she agreed in the end.
Hearing that, I sighed in relief. I told her that I would call her once I was done with the preparations.
…
The Following Days
I started acting. I visited a few other stores and bought necessary items for the shop. A part of the home building was going to be the appraisal shop.
I had already told my idea to Otto and Patrick back then, but the others learned of it now. Knowing that I was going to create a legitimate identity for them to act under, they were all happy.
They didn’t have to stay in the house all day.
As the days passed, I put up the signboard for the appraisal shop. The name of the shop was “Frank’s Appraisal Shop.”
Rebecca from the neighborhood was surprised to learn that Frank was an appraiser. She visited the house and found that he already had staff working for him.
She couldn’t see through the strength of the staff. All four of them gave her a sense of crisis.
However, she thought of Manager Lara. She believed her warning to Frank had helped him prepare. With these people, no one could cause him trouble.
She wasn’t the only one paying attention. Supervisor James and other neighbors in the community were surprised to know that the new owner of the mansion was an appraiser.
Their earlier contempt disappeared. Even Supervisor James was shocked. He knew the masked man was not ordinary, but now he understood why he wore a mask.
Most appraisers are mysterious people who don’t interact much with outsiders. Due to their professional identity, they have a wide range of connections.
Supervisor James became obedient. He didn’t harbor any ill intentions anymore. Earlier, he just wanted to probe Frank’s identity due to the connection with Manager Lara.
Now, he dared not even think of it. He wasn’t the only one; the other neighbors who were arrogant earlier became quiet as well.
They were waiting for the shop’s opening day so they could meet their new neighbor. It was the right time for them to make connections.
Supervisor James thought about buying expensive gifts to ease the relationship between them.
He hadn’t directly offended Frank, but he worried his interactions with Rebecca Ethan might have exposed his intentions.
So, he prepared to buy a new gift.
…
Meanwhile
The news about the new Crystal Community neighbor reached the authorities. They were following his actions.
They were surprised to find out the new owner was an appraiser. This identity was significant. They decided to visit him during the shop’s opening day.
They had made the right decision to warn Supervisor James. They knew that anyone associated with Manager Lara was bound to be extraordinary.
