Gravity Mage with Level-Up System - Chapter 1780: Part 1: First big customer

Chapter 1780: Part 1: First big customer
Crystal City
Jonah, from the Infinite Circle, met with his acquaintance. He explained his request regarding finding a good buyer for some antique items.
His friend was surprised, but a second later, he became happy.
He knew his friend was from the Wizard Association, which was one of the top ten factions in Crystal City. He completely believed his friend, so he agreed.
Jonah knew his friend had an antique piece in his possession, but he had not seen it himself.
Jonah then asked his friend to bring out the piece. His friend’s name was Logan. Logan went to bring the antique object outside.
Jonah waited. His friend appeared a few minutes later with a black circular disk in his hand.
The circular disk was small. The surface had unknown characters inscribed on it. Jonah was surprised; he had never seen such an old, intact antique object before.
The intact objects he had seen all belonged to recent eras, so he believed this antique piece could be sold for a high price.
But he needed to verify one thing before that.
He asked, “Are you sure it is a genuine item?”
Logan was taken aback. For the first time, he began to ponder as well. The black circular disk was a family heirloom.
“My family ancestor got this a long time ago. We have been treating the object as a family heirloom,” Logan replied.
“We will find out whether the item is authentic or not tomorrow,” Jonah said.
His friend nodded. Both of them decided to visit the shop owner Frank’s place the next day.
…
The Shop
The next morning, the day began as usual. Customers started coming quite early, standing in a queue outside.
However, I told the staff to open the shop at the right time. It didn’t matter whether the queue outside was long or not.
Time passed. I appeared inside the Gregor Mansion for my daily mental method practice.
Outside, the shop opened at the scheduled time. Customers started entering the gallery room one after another.
Otto and Patrick were working. Magic Lord Rock was sitting in the corner, and Hank was handling the billing.
The Sky Salamander and the Vineroot Monster were living underground.
This time, the customers had brought genuine items. When a deal was made, the customers were guided to Hank for payment.
A few hours later, after getting ready, I appeared and went to the office room. I started observing the gallery room from inside.
Seeing that more purchases and sales were happening, I felt happy. The magic artifacts were stored inside glass containers.
Customers were buying the broken artifacts. The current inventory could last for a month, but perhaps I needed to start collecting antique pieces again.
Just as I was observing them, I saw Otto turn around and rush toward the room. In the blink of an eye, he arrived at the door, walked into the room, and approached me.
“What happened?” I asked.
“Master, the Infinite Circle Leader’s assistant is here, and he brought someone with him,” Otto said.
Hearing that, I raised my eyebrows in surprise. “Go and bring them here,” I told Otto.
Otto understood and left. I sat behind the desk, guessing their motive. The Infinite Circle Association Leader had previously shown interest in buying magic artifacts from my collection.
“Could it be related to that?” I thought. Then I put on my mask to cover my face; it had become a habit of mine.
Shortly afterward, Otto brought two guests to the room. They were two middle-aged men. One of them was Edmund’s assistant, and there was a stranger beside him. I nodded to Otto, who left the room.
“Please, sit,” I told them.
Jonah and his friend sat in the chairs opposite me. Jonah smiled and said, “Shop owner Frank, let me introduce my friend to you. His name is Logan.”
“He wants to sell his family heirloom, but he hasn’t found a credible buyer so far. I told him about you. So, we have come here hoping that you would like the item,” he added.
A hint of surprise appeared in my eyes. I turned toward the man named Logan. I didn’t expect to receive my first big customer today. I calmed my heart and nodded to them.
Logan had been suspicious before coming here, but he had seen the items inside the gallery room. They seemed more precious than his family heirloom.
He then took out the heirloom and placed it on the desk. It was the black circular disk. Its surface had unknown characters inscribed on it.
Jonah watched, his eyes gleaming. He was eager to find out the details. Not only him, but his friend Logan was full of anticipation as well.
My gaze fell on the black circular disk. I had never seen such a high-quality, intact antique piece before. I used the system function to probe it.
[Ding! Old era magic artifact found.]
[Ding! It was used by body wizards as a shield.]
The information appeared in my mind. I digested it, and my heart stirred. It was my first time seeing an artifact from an old-era body wizard.
I didn’t show a big reaction, but I continued to look over the unknown magic characters. I used the system again to identify them.
The system results stated that it was a spell used by the owner of the magic artifact. Knowing that, my heart stirred again.
It was definitely worth buying. It could be used for research purposes; specifically, body wizards would find it immensely valuable.
A few minutes later, I collected my thoughts before turning toward them.
“Okay, I can confirm that it is a genuine item. What do you intend to do with it?” I asked them.
Jonah and Logan were taken aback. Actually, they wanted to know more about the artifact. If possible, they wanted to sell it for a huge amount of money.
But they understood there is no such thing as free money. Logan wanted to sell the item, but he didn’t know its exact worth.
