Chapter 1785: Forbidden Magic Artifact (Blue Shield)
Silver Tower
Lord Erwin explained the ins and outs of the factions. Fortunately, there was no one there to disturb their conversation.
Then Erwin turned to Vincent. He was interested in the appraisal shop as well. He, too, knew the kid in front of him had appraisal knowledge.
“Vincent, I heard you have opened a shop in Crystal City. How is it going?” Erwin asked.
Lara was there as well. She didn’t know about the incident last night.
My expression grew serious. I looked towards both of them. Then my gaze fell on Lord Erwin.
“Actually, something did happen,” I uttered.
Erwin raised his eyebrows. He thought something was up.
Lara frowned. If anything had happened, then she would have been the first person to know.
“Did I miss something?” she thought.
Then, seeing their interest, I told them about the attack last night.
“Interesting,” Erwin uttered.
How could he not know about the Wizard Associations? They work under the Magic Towers, those families and businesses who couldn’t join the Silver Tower.
They form associations to complete missions. He thought that the Magic Lord who attacked the shop could be from the hostile Magic Towers.
Apart from them, the Silver Tower didn’t have enemies in the territory of the Mage Union.
They had infighting, but the members in the Black Silver Faction wouldn’t lower themselves to attack their own members outside.
There were conflicts in the Magic Union, but Vincent Carey was not yet important enough for powerful people to pay attention to him.
So, that left only the Elemental Tower and the Black Tower. He then thought of something before taking out a shield.
The white-colored shield was inscribed. There were blue magic characters all over it.
The appearance of the shield stunned me.
Lara was dumbfounded. She found that the shield was releasing a dangerous threat to her. She then noticed the calm face of Vincent Carey.
She thought Vincent Carey was a Supreme Wizard. He could not recognize the Forbidden Wizard Treasure; even she didn’t have one in her possession.
She understood what Lord Erwin was up to. With this thing in Vincent Carey’s possession, no one would attack him.
“I’m going to give you this shield. It’s one of my magic artifacts. It can form an invisible formation to cover your shop.”
“It can withstand a few attacks from a Forbidden Wizard, but I doubt a Forbidden Wizard would make a move against you.”
“But the shield will protect you from the attacks of Magic Lords. They won’t be able to do anything. But it consumes enormous mana.”
“One needs to be at least a Magic Lord to operate this shield. I heard you have hired an injured Magic Lord. If he can still use a small amount of mana, then he can activate the shield for a short time.”
“The time will be enough for you to call for help. I’m not going anywhere. I will be here doing Mage Union missions. Lord Charlotte is on her way here, so you don’t have to be afraid,” Erwin said in a calm tone before handing over the shield.
I received the shield and stored it inside my storage bracelet. But my heart was in turmoil. I didn’t expect Lord Erwin to casually hand over a Forbidden Level Artifact.
“Good, you can go back now. But be careful of the Black Tower and the Elemental Tower. Though they can’t send Forbidden Wizards, they could resort to tricks,” Erwin advised.
I thanked him. Then I turned towards Manager Lara and nodded to her. But before I could leave, I saw her taking out something.
“Wait!”
“These are your uncollected resources. Now that you have become a Supreme Wizard, your resources have naturally increased.” After saying that, she handed a storage pouch to me.
I accepted the pouch and casually put it away inside the storage bracelet. Then I once again nodded to both of them before leaving.
I walked out of the Silver Tower with a smile on my face. Before walking out, I had put a mask on my face. No spy could see through it.
The Black Raven aircraft was standing in front of the tower. I immediately entered the aircraft and started operating it.
Swoosh!
The Black Raven aircraft hovered in mid-air before leaving the area of the Magic Tower. It didn’t take long for the aircraft to reach the border and start the return journey to Crystal City.
Inside the Silver Tower, Manager Lara wanted to know about Lord Charlotte.
“Lord Erwin, why is Lord Charlotte not attending the call?” Lara asked.
Erwin sighed and said, “Not long ago, an ancient armor escaped from the Sandfall City ruins. She was delayed by that thing. But she should be on her way right now.”
Hearing that, Lara was shocked. She had heard about the fall of the Sandfall City ruins. The city was destroyed by the awakened ancient armor.
“Lara, don’t forget to add Vincent Carey’s name to the White Silver Faction registry. Update his current strength as well,” Erwin said.
“Lord, by doing so, the news will be leaked,” Lara voiced her concern.
Because Vincent Carey didn’t want that. Otherwise, he would have exposed his strength already.
“Don’t worry, I’m here. No one will cause problems,” Erwin said with confidence.
During his trip, he had encountered some opportunities and improved his strength in the process.
Rarely could anyone threaten him within the same rank, except for those freaks from the Red Tower.
Erwin then stood and went to his room. He had wanted to meet Vincent Carey; he was impressed with his progression.
He was in a good mood. He didn’t worry about Vincent Carey’s name spreading. Instead, it was good news for the Mage Union.
The Mage Union would take it as the White Silver Faction’s contribution. He revealed a smile on his face.
On the other hand, Lara returned to her office. She started updating the membership details of Vincent Carey.
She couldn’t update the details on her own because someone needed to vouch for them. Since Lord Erwin had personally verified Vincent Carey’s strength, he added his name at the end.
In that way, the process was credible. No one would doubt or take the news as false. After doing all of that, she sighed in relief.
A helpless smile appeared on her face the next second. She knew the news would shake up the Magic City soon.
