Gravity Mage with Level-Up System - Chapter 1792: Roderick’s complete plan

Chapter 1792: Roderick’s complete plan
Crystal City
That night, the trio returned to the house after collecting information all day in the city. We were once again gathered in the living room.
I sat comfortably on the sofa and leaned back. My gaze fell on Otto, Patrick, Hank, and Rock.
“What did you guys find?” I asked.
“Master, you sent us to collect information, but the local forces have sent their own people to spy on us.”
“They wanted to know our response. They believe that Manager Lara would interfere if the Tulip Auction House causes problems,” Otto said in a serious tone.
Hearing that, I was not surprised. However, I wanted more important information.
Otto noticed that the Master was deep in thought.
“Master, everyone believes that the Tulip Auction House is deliberately targeting our shop,” Otto added.
Hearing that, I raised my eyebrows in surprise.
“Why?” I asked.
I believed that the trio must have obtained crucial information.
“Don’t stretch it out. I want to know everything,” I said firmly.
Hearing that, Otto shuddered. The crimson chains binding his mana core glowed for a second. He was terrified.
He sorted out his thoughts and arranged the information in his mind.
Then he said, “The Tulip Auction House is backed by the Flame Elemental Tower and their allied families.”
“It appears they were looking for a scapegoat. The other appraisers in the Magic City are connected to neutral and allied forces.”
“The Tulip Auction House can’t target them; it would ruin their relationships because of the false accusations. So, they can only target our shop because we are connected to the Silver Tower,” Otto revealed.
Hearing that, the faces of the others turned grim. They didn’t know what Master would do.
But I smiled and said, “As I said before, there is no need to worry. There are higher-ups in the Silver Tower who have already shown support for me.”
“If the Tulip Auction House causes problems, then they are asking for trouble,” I added.
Their expressions eased after that.
Then we spoke for a few minutes. Customers didn’t come today, but we believed they would start coming soon. Then, business would return to normal.
A few minutes later, we returned to our own rooms. In my room, something was keeping me awake. I stood in front of the window and looked at the night view.
The street lights were lit, illuminating the backyard.
[Ding! Warning]
[Ding! Hostile intention detected.]
[Ding! Location: Outside the community gate.]
The system warned me again. Hearing that, my eyes flashed with killing intent. I didn’t know who had come this time.
Since they were showing killing intent, they could not be the local forces. Who could they be?
“System, what is the enemy’s strength?” I asked.
[Ding! There are 10 Supreme Wizards who are in disguise.]
The system showed the results. I frowned. Last time, the hostile force sent a Magic Lord. I didn’t know whether these people were from the same force or the Tulip Auction House.
I decided to wait and see. Since it was no secret that old man Rock was a Magic Lord, they wouldn’t dare approach the house.
It appeared they had infiltrated the city to collect information. A good idea formed in my mind.
If customers didn’t come tomorrow, I would send the trio to collect information again. If people started coming, I would only send Otto.
After figuring it out, my mind was clear. My expression eased.
Swoosh!
The next second, I appeared inside the Gregor Mansion.
The Next Morning,
The situation remained the same. There were a few customers in the shop, but they were locals. No visitors from other cities had come.
The locals knew about the situation, but they believed in the Silver Tower. After all, Crystal City comes under the jurisdiction of the Silver Tower.
If they didn’t support the Silver Tower, whom were they going to support? The locals had gathered some courage to come here.
It would take time for others to arrive. Gradually, everyone would come to the shop. I analyzed the situation; I wasn’t worried about the shop.
I was more interested in figuring out the motive of the ten Supreme Wizards who came last night. I called Otto and told him to continue the surveillance.
I didn’t tell him about the ten Supreme Wizards. Patrick and Hank offered to help, but I told them to look after the shop.
Then I returned to my room for daily practice.
Meanwhile, the ten Supreme Wizards were indeed people sent by the Tulip Auction House. They came from the families backing the house.
They could have sent someone from the Flame Magic Tower, but that would cause people to raise their eyebrows. Even the Silver Tower would be alerted. That’s why they had come in secret.
Even if they were found, they would use their family names as a cover. No one could easily accuse them of anything.
These ten Supreme Wizards found hotels close to the Crystal Community. They stayed in their rooms, all ten of them in different hotels.
The Auction House owner, Roderick, had sent them here to find out the strength of the appraisal shop run by Frank.
Though Roderick got the green light, he was still wary of the Silver Tower. He didn’t want to be captured by their people.
That’s why he sent people to probe first. If there were no strong wizards, he would definitely go there with his men to demand “justice.”
It was no secret that Cedric went there to meet Frank. If people did some digging, they would find out the truth.
He would then accuse Frank of giving false information. Forbidden Wizard Callum gave his support. With that backing, Roderick would ask a Magic Lord from the Red Flame Tower to accompany him.
If Frank didn’t have a good chance to defend himself, Roderick would use the power of the Magic Lord to capture him on the spot.
He doubted the Magic Lord on Frank’s side could stop someone from the Red Flame Tower. He already had a solid plan in mind.
Once the Supreme Wizards returned from Crystal City, he would implement it.
