Gravity Mage with Level-Up System - Chapter 1795: Upcoming danger

Chapter 1795: Upcoming danger
Tulip Auction House
The following day, the Auction House owner, Roderick, contacted the same Magic Lord in the Flame Elemental Tower.
His name was Scott, and he worked for the Forbidden Wizard, Callum.
Magic Lord Scott usually didn’t pay attention to the Wizard Families, but because of Lord Callum, he had to pay attention to the Auction House owner. He answered the call.
“Elder, I have a foolproof plan. I hope you will hear me out,” Roderick said in a humble tone. He knew that he needed Magic Lord Scott’s assistance for his plan to succeed.
“Okay, you can tell me,” Scott said.
Roderick collected his thoughts and started explaining his plans. At first, Magic Lord Scott was calm and collected, but once he fully understood the plan, he was dumbfounded and shocked.
“What kind of plan is this?” Scott asked during the phone call. The plan made him infuriated.
Roderick wasn’t surprised by the reaction. He knew he needed the help of a Magic Lord to pull it off.
“Elder, I believe this plan will work. I’m sure Lord Callum will like it. Can you please tell him?” Roderick asked.
Hearing that, Magic Lord Scott frowned. He recalled the words of Lord Callum; he had been told to support this guy. However, he still thought the plan needed to be discussed.
“I’ll report to Lord Callum first. Then I’ll tell you about it,” he said.
Roderick nodded his head in understanding. He decided to wait.
On the other hand, Magic Lord Scott requested to meet Lord Callum.
Lord Callum didn’t like to be disturbed, so Scott was not sure whether the Lord would agree to meet him. But to his surprise, Callum was not in seclusion.
Callum summoned the Magic Lord not long after. Scott was extremely surprised; he had never met Lord Callum in such short succession before. He didn’t know what Lord Callum was planning.
When they met, Scott revealed Roderick’s plan. Callum was interested.
Since he had already decided to go against the Silver Tower, he didn’t care about the consequences. After hearing the whole plan, a wide grin appeared on his face. He liked it.
“Go with that Auction House owner and capture the Appraiser, Frank. I want to see whether the Silver Tower intervenes or not,” Callum said.
Scott was shocked. Then, he recalled something. “Lord, what if Magic Lord Lara arrives?” he asked.
“That girl? Can’t you handle that girl?” Callum asked.
Scott shuddered. He could feel that Lord Callum was angry. “Don’t worry, Lord, I’ll capture the shop owner,” Scott said before leaving.
As Scott walked away, his back was drenched in cold sweat. He connected the dots and understood the situation: Lord Callum wanted to target the Silver Tower directly.
Scott had no choice but to follow through with the plan. After returning to his room, he contacted Roderick and told him the result.
Roderick was happy, he was on cloud nine. He had hoped Lord Callum would support him, but hearing it confirmed made him ecstatic. Since Lord Callum had given the green light, he could proceed.
“When are you going to act?” Scott asked.
“Elder, why don’t we act tomorrow morning? We need the help of other Magic Lords as well. I have already sent requests to the other families,” Roderick said.
Scott raised his eyebrows in surprise. He had been worried about facing Manager Lara earlier, wondering how he would capture Frank in front of her.
But he was happy to hear this news. If there were other Magic Lords involved, he could act without worry.
…
Crystal City: The Shop
The customer count had increased compared to the past few days. Most of them were there for the appraisal service.
After having their items appraised, they would usually sell them elsewhere. However, not many people from the major forces had visited yet.
The Infinite Circle and a few other Wizard Associations were the last to visit the shop.
In the office, I sat alone. Manager Lara had gone back this morning due to urgent work, though she promised to return immediately afterward.
“I have this uneasy feeling bothering me,” I muttered.
Knowing that the Tulip Auction House was going to target me, I felt frustrated by my inability to act. I calmed my heart and started observing the customers.
The staff members were quite tense as well, though none of them showed it outwardly. They had immense trust in their master.
Furthermore, they were aware of the spatial treasure; in the worst-case scenario, they could hide inside it. Because of this, they were not afraid for their lives.
…
Infinite Circle
Leader Edmund Smith followed the updates regarding the Appraisal Shop. Knowing that the shop was receiving a steady stream of customers, he was surprised.
It was a well-known fact that the Tulip Auction House was going to target the shop, yet people were still visiting.
“Are they not worried about their safety?” he asked.
His assistant, Jonah, heard him and replied, “Leader, the Silver Tower will definitely protect the owner, Frank. I don’t know what gave the Tulip Auction House the guts to try this.”
Edmund raised his eyebrows. “That’s why none of the people from the major forces have moved. They are all watching from the sidelines, just like us.”
Jonah said nothing, shifting the topic to other matters.
…
Silver Tower
Manager Lara was here. Someone from the Black Silver Faction had assigned her several tasks. She was worried about not getting back to Crystal City on time.
She didn’t know whether it was a coincidence or something more calculated. She needed to finish the tasks quickly to return.
Time passed.
Erwin was roaming the Magic City, meeting with friends and other important people.
Now that everyone knew about his return, he didn’t hide his whereabouts. Those who were worried about his presence knew he was in the Magic City and hadn’t left the border.
Among the forces following the news, the Black Tower was the most concerned.
They worried that Erwin was hatching a plan against them. They had been targeted before and didn’t want to lose any more business.
