Gravity Mage with Level-Up System - Chapter 1796: Fooling the enemy

Chapter 1796: Fooling the enemy
Shop
That night, I waited for Manager Lara to come back, but she didn’t return. Then, I had a meeting with the members.
I had everyone hide inside the Gregor Mansion; an uneasy feeling made me do it. I wouldn’t let them outside until Manager Lara was back. That included the two monsters in the mansion as well.
The next morning,
After daylight became visible, the customers started coming. Seeing that the shop was closed, they waited in line.
Time passed.
The customers noticed that no one came outside to open the gate. The lights in the house were off, as if no one was inside the shop.
They didn’t dare break into the house. Finally, they concluded that the shop was closed and started leaving the place.
One after another, the customers did the same. They, too, saw that the lights were off.
They didn’t know what had happened to the shop owner, Frank. Perhaps there was some other important work, so the shop remained closed. It didn’t take long for everyone to leave.
The first people to hear the news were the neighbors. Rebecca Ethan heard the news and was surprised.
She came to verify the news herself. She saw no lights in the house, and her eyebrows furrowed. After checking the area, she returned to her home..
Other neighbors visited the shop out of curiosity. They, too, saw that no one seemed to be in the house, and they returned home. The next person to be shocked was none other than Supervisor James.
He was worried that something had happened to Frank. He had been hearing the news surrounding the appraisal shop as well. He personally visited the shop and saw that the lights were turned off.
If he had wanted to, he could have used other keys to go inside, but he couldn’t do that without getting permission from Manager Lara. He believed Frank might have gone somewhere with his staff.
The news reached the ears of the authorities and the major forces in the city. The Wizard Association was caught off guard.
They didn’t know when Frank had left the house right under their noses. Even the city authorities were taken aback by the news; they had thought everything was under their control.
Though Frank has a background, it doesn’t stop them from monitoring his activities. This time, they were caught off guard as well.
Everyone believed that Frank might have gone somewhere. He hadn’t truly vacated the place because the collection was still visible, everyone could see the gallery room from the outside.

Roderick was awaiting the arrival of Magic Lord Scott from the Flame Elemental Tower, but the bad news reached his ears before that.
“What?” Old man Roderick uttered in disbelief.
Boom!
The next second, he grew angry and smashed the table. He had been careful with his plan; his foolproof plan was supposed to be successful today. Yet, he didn’t expect to hear such news from Crystal City.
“Did Manager Lara sense something?” the old man asked himself. “If they are not in the house, it means she did something.”
It would be a waste of time if they visited an empty shop.
The main goal of the plan was not an accusation, but the capture of the shop owner, Frank, to confront Manager Lara and the body-type Magic Lord in that shop.
He had called for help from like-minded families as well.
Now, he had to request that they go back. Veins popped up on his forehead; he had never been this angry before.
He then called the like-minded families and informed them about the situation. These families didn’t complain. They knew the power of the Silver Tower as well, so they agreed to wait further.
Next, the old man had a bigger task to do. He called and informed Magic Lord Scott, who was about to leave his place. Upon learning the news, Scott was strangely calm.
He told the old man to inform him when everything was okay. Scott didn’t know exactly what was going on, but he was happy.
On the other hand, Roderick ended the call and slumped into his seat. He was going to wait now. He thought of something before sending people to Crystal City.
They were Level-9 Wizards and below. Their job was to inform him whether the appraisal shop in the city was open or not. Once it was open, he would gather his men to go there.

I appeared back in the room. A bright smile appeared on my face; I was feeling better than before. The uneasy feeling had faded. It appeared I had averted a major problem today.
Shortly afterwards, I got a call from Manager Lara. Seeing the ID, I wasn’t surprised; the news must have reached her ears as well. I answered her call.
“What happened?” Lara asked.
“I just closed the shop for today. When you are back, I will open it,” I replied.
“Sigh!”
“I didn’t expect to get a task from the Black Silver Faction. The timing couldn’t have been worse. I can’t leave without finishing it. You did the right thing by closing the shop. No one will come to cause trouble. Still, be careful,” Lara said in a serious tone.
My heart was stirred. We spoke about a few other things regarding safety before ending the call. I didn’t expect her to get a task from the Black Silver Faction.
I didn’t know whether it was a coincidence or not. I shook my head before collecting my thoughts.
Then, I appeared inside the mansion to rest.

Infinite Circle
That night, the leader and the assistant had their discussion again.
“It appears shop owner Frank got wind of something. He closed the shop and left the place,” Edmund said. “I have sent people to buy antiques. I hope Frank returns soon,” he added.
“What are the other associations doing?” he asked.
Jonah said, “Leader, they were doing the same. The antique business has become busy lately. It’s hard to get items from our channels alone.”
“Now that he is not here, everything will become normal soon. We should make use of the opportunity,” Edmund replied.
