Gravity Mage with Level-Up System - Chapter 1797: Positive news

Chapter 1797: Positive news
Crystal City—Shop
Two days passed.
The situation in Crystal City remained the same. Customers from other cities visited the appraisal shop, but they returned empty-handed because the shop was still closed.
The local forces were confused. They didn’t know what had happened. But the major forces were different; they knew that the Tulip Auction House was behind this problem.
Before the Tulip Auction House could act against him, the shop owner, Frank, left the place.
The higher-ups of the major forces couldn’t help but wonder whether Frank truly gave a wrong appraisal to Cedric, the Tulip Auction House employee.
They didn’t know what conversation had gone down, but the activities of the shop owner, Frank, invited such criticism. However, none of them dared to spread the rumor.
They were all connected to the Silver Tower. If the Silver Tower were to find out about this matter, it would be the end for them. So, they could only discuss it among themselves.
It wasn’t only the major families following the news; the city authorities and the Wizard Association were doing the same.
Because of the appraisal shop, they had opened new lines of business. Just as they thought the economy of Crystal City would increase, the shop owner, Frank, left the city two days ago.
Everyone thought he would return soon, but nobody knew the exact date.
Among the Wizard Association, the Infinite Circle followed the news closely. They confirmed the news that the Tulip Auction House was ready to move.
Earlier, the Tulip Auction House announced that they would find the appraiser who gave wrong information to their employee. It had been days since the Tulip City neighborhood tragedy incident.
The auction house should have announced the news already, but there had been no further updates from them since that day.
The fact that they hadn’t suggests they were targeting the shop owner, Frank. This was confirmed by other important people. Under these circumstances, the other forces could only watch from the sidelines.
…
Somewhere in one of the satellite cities, the Forbidden Wizard Erwin was following the news. He had been catching up with old friends in the satellite cities.
At the same time, he was keeping an eye on Vincent Carey’s shop. To be honest, he was surprised by its popularity, but he believed most of it was because of the shop’s ties with the Silver Tower.
Now, the shop’s name has become popular because of the negative publicity.
“An ordinary auction house dares to falsely frame him. Who gave them the courage?” he asked himself.
He could only think of the Flame Elemental Tower. He had already done some digging and knew the truth of the matter. The incident was unrelated to Vincent Carey.
Yet the auction house was doing this, which showed they were acting upon someone’s instructions. He was sure it was the Flame Elemental Tower.
He had thought they would do something, but before that, Vincent closed the shop. He didn’t know what the kid was thinking, but he didn’t want the matter to extend further.
He phoned Lara and told her to inform Vincent. There was no need to hide; he would handle the problem.
Earlier, he had thought it was just a small fight, but now that he knew the Flame Elemental Tower was involved, he would intervene.
…
Shop
That evening, I got a call from Manager Lara and learned the news from her. Knowing that Lord Erwin was watching the situation, I put my heart at ease.
The reason I chose to hide was not out of cowardice. It was due to an uneasy feeling that had been troubling me. Now that uneasiness is gone.
Since Lord Erwin was going to intervene, I could act boldly. I went inside the Gregor Mansion and brought everyone outside.
I explained the situation to them, and the members heaved a sigh of relief. Then, we opened the shop in the evening.
Patrick and Otto were in the gallery room, while Hank handled the billing section.
Old Man Rock was seated in his chair. The two monsters went back to the underground room. I went to the terrace and observed the surroundings.
There was no one outside, but I believed that customers would come soon.
Time passed.
When nighttime came, people from the neighborhood arrived. They came because of the bright lights and realized that the shop owner, Frank, had returned.
The staff greeted them inside. Seeing this, I decided to go down to meet them.
After coming to the living room, I met with them. Among them, Rebecca Ethan was present as well.
“Shop owner Frank, where have you been?”
“We didn’t see you for two days,” one of the neighbors asked.
Hearing that, others perked up their ears. They wanted to know the truth. Though it was a private matter, they were still curious.
I smiled and said, “I had a meeting with an important client. I could only meet him in person.”
The neighborhood people believed it; it seemed like the only logical reason.
After some talk, the neighbors left one after another. Rebecca Ethan remained behind. She wanted to ask something.
“Ms. Rebecca, what happened?” I asked her.
“When did you come back? I didn’t see anyone coming through the main gate,” she said.
I raised my eyebrows in surprise. Among them, she was the only one who noticed that.
I smiled and said, “I did come through the main gate, but no one noticed it.”
Hearing that, Rebecca smiled and didn’t pry further. She went back to her house.
It didn’t take long for the news to spread. The city authorities and the locals learned the news first, as they were close to the Crystal community.
After learning the news, they sighed in relief. They had been quite worried, but they were at ease now.
The following day,
The shop opened at the usual time. The first few customers arrived quickly. They were locals who had heard the news last night.
Knowing that the shop was open, they were happy and brought their items for appraisal. They had been afraid the shop would close again.
Seeing that customers were here again, my mood brightened up.
