Gravity Mage with Level-Up System - Chapter 1804: Part 2: Failure

Chapter 1804: Part 2: Failure
Crystal City—Shop
The other cities were alarmed. The news had reached them as well. It was against the rules to fight.
Yet, the Magic Lords were fighting above the city. The important people here rushed toward the city as well, especially those who were close to the Flame Elemental Tower.
They wanted to support them. They knew Crystal City was under the Silver Tower.
They didn’t want the Flame Elemental Tower to be weakened.
Time passed.
Magic Lord Scott came to his senses. He didn’t want to be caught. If the Mage Union interfered, they would have many ways to find the truth. He didn’t want to expose Lord Callum, who was behind him.
“Let’s stop here!” Scott said.
Hearing that, Manager Lara stopped attacking. She didn’t want the fight to continue either, because she felt many powerful auras watching from a distance. None of them had made a move so far.
Swoosh!
Scott then disappeared from the spot and reappeared in front of the vehicle. Old man Roderick and the other Magic Lords arrived in front of him.
Scott saw them and said, “Today’s matter ends here. We will be back after getting the evidence.”
After saying that, he entered the vehicle. Old man Roderick’s face darkened. He and the others went back to their own vehicles.
Shortly afterward, the vehicles left Crystal City. The other vehicles waiting outside followed them back.
Manager Lara appeared beside Vincent.
“Thanks for coming. But Frank needs rest now. You guys can come later,” Manager Lara said to the local forces.
The Wizard Association Heads nodded their heads before leaving. Edmund was among them. They were not surprised by the result, but they were surprised Shop Owner Frank managed to survive.
He was able to hold his own in the end. He had even taken the pressure from a Magic Lord and survived.
Edmund had come here to confirm a few other things. He saw Manager Lara’s backing of Shop Owner Frank. Then, he saw the Flame Elemental Tower’s deliberate targeting of Frank. In fact, they were targeting the Silver Tower.
It was now clear to everyone. As the local forces of Crystal City, they supported the Silver Tower.
Fortunately, things didn’t get worse. They didn’t have to get involved. From now on, no small forces would trouble Shop Owner Frank.
The real headache was the Magic Towers. Now that the fact was established that the Silver Tower was behind Shop Owner Frank, they would definitely target him.
Edmund was curious about the future. He could tell that Crystal City was going to be busy.
He then left with the others. It didn’t take long for the locals to vacate the place. Only Manager Lara, the members, and I remained. Elder Blake and his two officials left the place as well.
Then, we went inside the house. We sat in the living room area.
“It’s clearly the work of the Flame Elemental Tower. They are not targeting you, but the Silver Tower,” Manager Lara said in a cold tone.
“Would they stop?” I asked her.
“We don’t know about their plan. It would be good if we had some information on them,” she said.
Hearing that, I glanced at Otto. The purpose of opening the shop was to gather information. I think the time has come to collect it.
We then discussed a few things before going to our rooms to rest. Manager Lara is going to stay here, so there is no need to be afraid.
In my room, I looked at the status panel and saw the state of my injuries.
My stats had dropped, but fortunately, there were no deep injuries. I took a few healing potions and consumed them right away. Then, I rested on the bed.
Time passed.
The healing energy took effect. The internal injuries were healed at a rapid rate. Fortunately, it was just pressure.
If the other person had released a magic spell, my body would have been injured deeply; the foundation could have been damaged.
Today was the day I felt closest to death. Magic Lord Scott clearly targeted me. They didn’t hold back.
Fortunately, he was inside the city. If it had been a place outside the magic city, I had no doubt that they would have killed me for sure. I collected my thoughts and focused on recovery.
Meanwhile, Manager Lara contacted Forbidden Wizard Erwin and told him about the incident. In fact, Forbidden Wizard Erwin was staying close to Crystal City.
He didn’t come, but everything was under his watch. So, he knew exactly what happened. He was surprised by Vincent Carey’s tenacity.
Till the end, Vincent didn’t reveal his identity. Erwin assured Lara that he was close by.
Like he had suspected, the Flame Elemental Tower was making moves. But he hadn’t known who the person from earlier was.
Now that he saw Magic Lord Scott, he understood everything. He knew who was behind the scheme.
He told Manager Lara not to worry. He was staying close to Crystal City, and if the situation got worse, he would be there. Lara sighed in relief and ended the call.
Knowing that Lord Erwin was waiting for the mastermind to show up, she understood everything. He wanted to deal with the people behind it all.
…
On the other hand, the people from the Tulip Auction House were returning, but their faces did not look good. They had failed in their plan.
They were unable to capture Shop Owner Frank. Not only that, but by standing against them, they had clearly offended both Frank and Manager Lara.
In a way, they had offended the Silver Tower.
The wizard families of Tulip City were worried. These families were under the Flame Elemental Tower.
They had fought with other wizard families behind the Silver Tower before, but it was always done in secret. This was the first time they had openly confronted the Silver Tower.
The Magic Lords were afraid. Their families relied on them. If something happened to them and the Flame Elemental Tower failed to protect them, their families would face disaster.
The Magic Lords were scared. All of this trouble was because of one person. He was none other than the Auction House Owner.
