Gravity Mage with Level-Up System - Chapter 1815: Green Elemental Tower’s little plan

Chapter 1815: Green Elemental Tower’s little plan
Silver Tower
Wilfred Cox, Jason Nicholson, and Susan Park went through the mission list. They discussed it among themselves before picking a single mission.
“Manager Lara, we will do this mission,” Wilfred Cox said.
“Okay, I’ll register your team,” Lara replied.
Susan Park and Jason Nicholson were speaking to each other. Suddenly, Susan Park thought of something.
She turned towards Manager Lara and said, “Manager Lara, I heard your relative Frank got into trouble.”
Hearing that, Lara was stunned. She didn’t expect Susan to ask about that. Jason Nicholson and Wilfred Cox recalled the news as well.
Wilfred Cox said, “Manager Lara, if you need help, you can ask us. My father values the talent of an appraiser.”
“Since he is connected to you, he is part of the Silver Tower as well. We don’t want anything bad to happen to him,” he added.
“Yes, my father wanted to do business with him, but the Flame Elemental Tower was quick to cause a problem,” Jason Nicholson said.
Manager Lara collected her thoughts. She said, “I’m sure Frank would want to do business with your families.”
Wilfred Cox, Susan Park, and Jason Nicholson smiled. To be honest, if they had wanted to, they could have helped Manager Lara that day.
But they didn’t do so because they knew Forbidden Wizard Erwin was back. Since he was back, no one could cause problems for the Silver Tower.
…
Green Elemental Tower
The Green Elemental Tower had ordered their wizard families to target the new appraisal shop.
Since the Flame Elemental Tower had started targeting the interests of the Silver Tower, they wanted to add fuel to the fire.
They knew how to cause problems for the appraisal shop.
Appraisers have their own pros and cons; if the shop was found to be selling suspicious magic items, it would damage the name of the shop and the appraiser.
After getting the orders, the families acted swiftly. Each sent two people from their side to Crystal City.
…
Crystal Shop
Past noon, when everything was going normally, a few customers inside the gallery room started acting strange.
If not for the Zero Puppet, I wouldn’t have known. The Zero Puppet said that the customers were signaling to each other with their eyes.
Knowing that, I started paying attention to the four or five customers.
They were going through the collection, but at the same time, they were making eye contact. Not only that, they were looking at my office from time to time.
I summoned Otto to my office. Shortly afterwards, he walked into the room.
“Master, what happened?” Otto asked.
“The customers here are suspicious. They seem to know each other. Follow them and find out more information,” I said.
Otto was surprised. He was there with Patrick, but he hadn’t noticed it. He nodded his head and left the gallery room.
Outside
There were eight customers inside the gallery room. Six of them had come here for a task; they were sent by the Green Elemental Tower.
After spending some time in the gallery room, they left one after another. They didn’t leave immediately; they waited for one person to leave at a time.
When they were gone, only one or two customers remained. Otto told Patrick to take care of the matter, then Otto exited the shop.
He moved discreetly to follow the group. Once they left the Crystal Community, he continued to follow them from behind.
Not long after leaving the Crystal Community, the customers joined back together. They were discussing something.
Otto’s eyes flashed with a glint. He thought the Master was right; he didn’t expect the customers to know each other.
He saw that they were discussing something, but he didn’t approach them. Rather, he found a shop nearby to enter and started listening to the conversation from there.
“We have done our task!”
“It’s time to report to the higher-ups.”
“Yes, we have to inform them.”
The team started talking to each other. One of them phoned the higher-ups and informed them.
After hearing that the team had checked the appraisal shop, they were told to return soon.
The members knew they had to lay low for a while. They ended the call and started going back to their place.
On the other hand, Otto heard everything. He was surprised. He understood that these people were planning something against their shop.
But they were not going to act so soon; they were leaving right now.
When they were gone from the place, he didn’t know whether to continue to follow them or not.
He knew these people were going back to the Magic City. He had to be at the shop, so he called Master Vincent.
One Hour Later
Otto returned to the office room. Upon seeing me, he started explaining. My suspicion was right: the Green Elemental Tower was up to something.
“Alright, we should be careful right now,” I said to Otto and dismissed him.
He left the place and I continued to sit behind the desk.
Time passed. That night, when the shop was closed, the team members sat down once again and discussed today’s sales. But I was absent-minded.
I knew that the Green Elemental Tower and the Doyle Family might be looking for the real me, whereas the Green Elemental Tower was going to cause problems for my alternative identity.
…
Green Elemental Tower
The higher-ups got the reports from the wizard families. They now had a complete report of the shop, including the building style and details of the staff.
What they most wanted was news about the shop owner, Frank. They received a report about him as well.
He was seen staying in his office room. Only if there was a need would the staff consult with him; most of the time, he stayed in the office room.
It removed suspicion about the work. They were sure that shop owner Frank was a real appraiser; he was true to his work.
The higher-ups didn’t know about the Flame Elemental Tower. They didn’t know whether they were going to take action or not.
They had publicly accused shop owner Frank, but since then, there had been no further actions from their side.
But these people didn’t know that the families behind the auction house had suffered a huge loss.
