Gravity Mage with Level-Up System - Chapter 1823: Part 1: Scott’s raid

Chapter 1823: Part 1: Scott’s raid
Crystal City-Shop,
Magic Lord Scott doesn’t want to waste time. He wants to find the banned item so that he can capture shop owner Frank red-handed.
If he delays further, things will only get more complicated.
He spreads his mental power and sees that many locals have gathered. Media reporters are here as well.
His guess was right; he is confident in the Green Elemental Tower’s intel. Everyone is on the same side, and he doubts they would falsify the information.
Swoosh!
The next second, he appears in front of Frank. His sudden appearance shocks the onlookers. Magic Lord Blake and Old Man Rock immediately become alert.
The neighborhood people and the staff are taken aback, fearing a fight will break out. If anything happens, there will be no one to protect Frank.
“What are you going to do?”
“You are going against the Silver Tower for no reason,” Blake says in a serious tone.
Magic Lord Scott doesn’t have the authority here; Crystal City is under the Silver Tower’s control. Blake doesn’t want anything to happen to Frank; otherwise, the Magic Lord won’t spare him.
My heartbeat rises for a second. If I take action in front of everyone, I will end up in big trouble.
Gasp!
The neighborhood wizards are scared and move back a little. The whole situation looks chaotic. Hank, Patrick, and Otto are worried, unsure of what will happen next.
However, the person who came here with the banned item has left already. Their shop is safe.
Scott remains unfazed and says, “I have received news about a banned item from SunHaven City. It’s inside your shop. I’m going to check it,” he adds before heading toward the mansion.
Swoosh!
In a flash, he walks past them and enters the mansion. I can’t stop him. I signal Old Man Rock not to move. Seeing the signal, Old Man Rock controls his impulse and stays put.
Elder Blake is shocked. He looks at Frank and asks, “What should we do?”
“Follow him. I don’t want him to plant anything inside,” I tell him.
Hearing that, Blake immediately understands. He leads the officials inside. In the blink of an eye, they enter the gallery room.
There, they see Magic Lord Scott acting. Hank, Patrick, and Otto are terrified; they know about the banned items. There is nothing in their room, yet they don’t know why Scott is so insistent.
Scott uses his mental power to scan the whole room, quickly covering the entire mansion.
But he doesn’t find the banned item. He is getting angry; he doesn’t want to lose face again. Then, another thought strikes him.
“The banned item could be inside their storage bracelets,” he utters.
The next second, his gaze falls on the staff. Looking at the three Supreme Wizards, his eyes flicker. He appears in front of them.
“Show me your storage bracelets,” he commands.
Patrick, Otto, and Hank are shocked. Elder Blake and his officials arrive just in time.
“You can’t do that, Scott. You need permission from the Mage Union,” Blake says in a threatening tone.
On the other hand, I hear the commotion inside and rush in with Old Man Rock. Our arrival draws everyone’s attention. Scott turns toward me, his eyes filled with anger.
He wants to check everyone’s storage bracelets. If we don’t comply, he will definitely attack. Aside from those from the Flame Elemental Tower, no one else is here to help.
“I think you guys have banned items in your storage bracelets. Until I check every one of you, no one leaves this place,” Scott says seriously.
At that moment, Magic Lord Edmund from the Wizard Association enters. No one can stop him. He sees Magic Lord Scott and his face darkens.
“Do you guys need any help?” Edmund asks.
Magic Lord Scott grows even angrier. He didn’t expect another Magic Lord to be here. He can’t handle three of them at once.
I greet Magic Lord Edmund and then turn back to Scott.
“Magic Lord Scott, I can’t let you check everyone’s storage bracelets. You need permission for that.”
“If you still want to cause problems, I will invite our media friends standing outside the community. They are quite eager to enter,” I say.
Hearing that, Scott’s face darkens. He heard from the Green Elemental Tower higher-ups that the banned items were placed near the door, but he found nothing.
It is possible the people here removed them in time. He can’t believe the Green Elemental Tower made such a dumb mistake.
He realizes that if Frank has already removed the items, there is no point in checking the bracelets now.
After gaining some clarity, he decides to leave. He is unwilling, but his rational mind tells him to retreat.
If he causes further trouble, the Silver Tower won’t remain silent. He gives the others a deep look before leaving the shop.
He exits and heads to the flying cars above. Once inside, he calls the people at the Green Elemental Tower.
He doesn’t want to leave immediately; he wants to confirm certain things.
The higher-ups are shocked to learn the items weren’t found. They, too, realize Frank might have hidden them.
However, they need Mage Union permission for a thorough search, or the Silver Tower will retaliate. They didn’t expect Scott to act so hastily.
Scott realizes he was a bit too rushed. He should have secured permission first. He ends the call in anger.
Still, he doesn’t leave; he phones other friends to get their opinions.
All of them give him the same answer. Scott is pissed off; he can’t see a way out of this mess.
Buzz!
Right at that moment, he receives a call from Forbidden Wizard Callum. Seeing the name, he forgets everything else and answers the call immediately.
“Lord,” He uttered.
“What happened out there?”Callum asked.
Hearing that Scott was stunned. He didn’t realise Lord Callum was awake.
He then started explaining to Lord Callum. He couldn’t find the banned items inside the mansion.
Callum understood everything. So he decided to give permission. Before that he asked some doubts.
A few minutes later, Callum ordered Scott to search everyone and find that banned item. Once the banned item was found, no one would be able to escape.
“I’ll get permission from the Mage Union. You proceed with the search,” Callum said to him.
After saying that, he ended the call. Scott was happier.
On the other hand, I exited the building with the others. Then I saw the flying vehicles were still hovering in the air.
My expression changed drastically. What happened? The others were confused as well.
“He is not leaving. He must be waiting to get permission,” Blake said from the side.
Hearing that, everyone’s faces changed drastically. They had thought Magic Lord Scott would have left red-faced.
But he was not giving up.
“Care to tell me what this is about?”
“It appears it was not related to the Tulip Auction House,” Edmund said from the side.
Hearing that, Elder Blake explained it to him. When Edmund heard about the SunHaven Forbidden Item, he was stunned. His eyes widened in disbelief.
“It’s a big accusation. Tell me if it’s true or not. If it’s true, then no one can save shop owner Frank,” Edmund said in a serious tone.
I felt Edmund’s gaze on me.
“It’s yet another false accusation,” I replied.
“We don’t know if it’s true or not—not until I search all of your storage bracelets,” Scott said as he appeared outside.
Hearing this, my heart stirred once again.
Elder Blake said, “You don’t have permission for that. I have already informed Manager Lara.”
Scott smiled and said, “She won’t be able to do anything. Lord Callum told me to search. He will get permission from the Mage Union.”
“Shop owner Frank, I’ll start with you. Show me your storage bracelet.” After adding that, he came forward.
Everyone was alerted again. The media were able to find out what was going on. They had wizards with unique magic powers as well.
They found out the truth. The banned item is a forbidden subject; no one speaks of it. The mention of the banned item of SunHaven City especially shocked the reporters.
They started publishing the news. All over the city, news about the banned item of SunHaven City appeared on the news channels.
The locals were shocked. Many veterans knew about the old history and were terrified. The banned magic items were things that could take the lives of millions.
Now they were hearing about that very same item. The locals had thought the banned items were strictly under the control of the Mage Union.
They had never heard of anyone having one outside. The news quickly spread to other cities; it was breaking news everywhere.
…
Silver Tower
Manager Lara had already left the Silver Tower. She was on her way to Crystal City when she saw the breaking news as well.
She was shocked to the core. She worried; it was another conspiracy to trap Vincent. She didn’t know whether Vincent Carey was aware of it or not.
If the Flame Elemental Tower sent Magic Lord Scott for this, then there must be some truth to it. Even Vincent could have failed to notice it.
If it was a trap, then it was a deadly one. It would become very hard to save Vincent Carey then. Because of this, she headed toward Crystal City at high speed.
