I’m inside the underground chamber. The light from the gadget illuminated the place.

As the lights fell on the dark spaces, things were revealed. My gaze immediately fell on the small altar set up in the middle of the room.

The altar was black with weird patterns all over it. My gaze then shifted.

I looked at the dark red smoke. The altar was surrounded by it. The dark red smoke from earlier had come from there.

Everyone had fainted on the spot because of it.

The system voice sounded in my mind. Hearing that, I was stunned. For a second, I thought I was hearing something wrong.

I snapped back and looked towards the dark red orb. I didn’t know whether it was okay to touch it with my bare hands.

When I asked the system, it said it was fatal. I immediately thought of the Zero Puppet.

The gadget lights covered the sky like a dome. If I hastily exited the area, the gadget would sound an alarm.

So, I decided to hide inside the Gregor Mansion. I appeared inside the mansion and went to the hall to meet the Zero Puppet.

But the scene in front of me stunned me. The Zero Puppet looked different; it was covered in dark red smoke.

“What happened?” I asked myself.

I could see the Zero Puppet undergoing a transformation. I tried to find the dark red orb, but it was nowhere to be seen. I used the system probe function.

The system gave me the answer, but it left me speechless.

“You told me that only living artifacts can fuse with each other. So what’s the situation right now?” I asked the system. The situation was so confusing.

The system answered in my mind, and I immediately understood the situation.

The Zero Puppet’s background was not ordinary. I’m the inheritor of the Star Puppet Inheritance. I didn’t have time to go back home yet; I still have to collect the remaining inheritance there.

I had a plan to upgrade the Zero Puppet there, but I didn’t expect to get an opportunity here.

I collected my thoughts. My gaze turned towards the Zero Puppet. I had wanted to merge the dark red orb with the red scroll artifact so that I could have better control over it.

But I’m not disappointed. The Zero Puppet is mine. If it is getting better, then it’s good news for me.

Earlier, the Zero Puppet had the strength of Level 7. I don’t know what its strength will be after the upgrade.

Gary Crest’s and the Magic Lords’ situation was noticed by the guards. They were the protectors of Gary Crest.

Gary Crest and the Magic Lords were still under the influence of the dark red smoke. The effect was still there.

The protectors tried their best, but the victims were not waking up. In the end, they had to call for backup from the family. It didn’t take long for the family head to send elders.

They arrived on time and rescued Young Master Gary Crest and the others. They didn’t dare to step inside the chamber; instead, they sealed it from the outside.

In the Crest Hotel, the two admin staff were working, but they were still keeping an eye on room 210.

Both the male and female staff had done some research. They now knew who the wizard named Vincent Carey was. They wondered why Young Master Gary was so polite to that person.

They had been shocked to the core earlier; it had taken them more than 20 minutes to calm down.

They were still awake, but there was no sign of the guest coming back. Instead, they received a message that their young master was hospitalized.

He and the Magic Lords had inhaled something suspicious during the exploration. The staff were aware of the family’s activities at the empty plot.

They were close to the young master Gary. So it was not a secret to them.

The Zero Puppet’s transformation came to an end. I saw a dark red, humanoid puppet similar to my height standing in front of me.

I began to observe it. The puppet’s body had become a magic artifact. It still had a core area where I could put mana stones.
