I looked at the dark red puppet. I didn’t know whether it was the same Zero puppet. I asked the system to probe the dark red puppet.

“Zero, I have a job for you.” After saying that, I told the Zero puppet to collect information on the Crest Family. Then I told the puppet to come to room number 210 of the Sun Crest Hotel.

“I will do it, Master,” the Zero puppet replied.

Then I went to the control room to check. The entrance to the underground chamber was guarded by wizards, but the entrance was facing another direction.

I had a chance to escape. I appeared outside. The system shielded my presence so no one could sense me.

I observed the place before leaving. Then I came to a narrow alley in the neighborhood. There was no one there. After confirming with the system, I released the Zero puppet.

“Zero, start the mission. Beware of the Magic Lords and the Forbidden Wizards. Don’t get caught by them. If your mission is too difficult, you can return. I’m doing this to test your new power,” I said.

“Master, I will complete the mission.” After saying that, the Zero puppet transformed into dark red smoke and vanished from my sight.

A hint of seriousness appeared in my eyes. I was happy that the Zero puppet got an upgrade, even though it was not from the Star Puppet Inheritance. The new upgrade was powerful.

“System, does Zero still consider me its master?” I asked.

The system’s reply calmed my heart. So this was the power of a living magic artifact. I took a deep breath and collected my thoughts. Then I looked around before leaving the place.

It didn’t take long for me to reach the main street. Midnight had already passed. I found a cab driver, entered the cab, and told the driver to drop me at the Sun Crest Hotel. My job here was done.

I had come here because of the banned skull and the red book. It appeared the dark red orb was part of the previous owner’s collection as well. The rest of the places might have been plundered already.

I had been lucky to come across an unexplored area like the empty ground. The timing was perfect, as the Crest Family had just decided to uncover the underground hidden chamber.

Ten minutes later, the driver dropped me in front of the Sun Crest Hotel. I stepped out and paid the fare.

Then I turned around and saw there was no sign of the black cars. I didn’t know what happened to Young Master Gary. I hoped he was fine.

I walked into the hotel lobby and immediately saw both the male and female staff.

Their expressions were full of worry. Right then, they saw me as well. They were stunned. The next second, they averted their gazes.

Seeing that, I let out a chuckle. I nodded to them before going back to the hotel room.

When I reached the room, I inserted the key and opened the door. I checked the room once again; no one had entered since the incident.

I turned on the lights and waited for the Zero puppet to arrive. Once I got some information, I would leave the city. I had already gained much from this journey.

Meanwhile, the dark red smoke was moving from one restaurant to another. It moved past areas where many people had gathered.

The movements were so fast that no one noticed the smoke. However, the Zero puppet was able to record every conversation in these places.

Then, it filtered out the noise and only saved useful information. From that data, it found the location of the Crest Family.

The Zero puppet followed its orders. It remembered not to roam around the territory of the Magic Lords and Forbidden Wizards.

It decided not to enter the Crest Family estate directly; instead, it would collect information from the outside.

The Zero puppet itself was surprised. Its gathering abilities were faster than before. It could hide and escape whenever it wanted with the help of the dark red smoke.

It knew it hadn’t helped its Master lately, and now that it had this new ability, the Zero puppet wanted to do its best. It would definitely gather useful information on the Crest Family.

It didn’t take long for the red smoke to reach the Crest Family estate, but there were many dark-suited wizards guarding the gate.
