Gravity Mage with Level-Up System - Chapter 1842: Jamie Crest

Chapter 1842: Jamie Crest
The Crest family,
The dark red smoke didn’t enter the family gate. Instead, it gathered information from the guards.
“I heard the family has discovered an underground chamber. It has not been revealed to the public yet,” one of the dark-suited men said.
“Yeah, it could belong to the forbidden era,” another dark-suited wizard said.
They were all curious about the newly discovered hidden underground chamber.
Unfortunately, they didn’t have access to such information. They only heard bits of information from other guards.
Swoosh!
Suddenly, the main gate opened. An old man appeared, followed by his men. He was the Head of the Crest Family, Jamie Crest.
He was a Magic Lord. His Crest family was stronger than most of the wizard families related to the Flame Elemental Tower.
Jamie’s expression did not look good. He approached the car parked outside. He was going to explore the hidden underground chamber.
The people following him were elders. They boarded other cars one by one. It didn’t take long for the dark red smoke to appear.
It swiftly passed under one car after another to gather information. The Magic Lords and Supreme Wizards were unable to sense the presence of the dark red smoke.
The zero puppet noted this point. With such an ability, it could help Master Vincent with more tasks.
…
Sun Crest Hotel
Time passed.
In the room, I was standing in front of the window and looking at the night view. I opened the window slightly, and a cold wind brushed against my face.
I enjoyed this feeling. My gaze then shifted to the buildings that were lit up. The city may have appeared to be calm, but undercurrents were surging.
I didn’t want my presence to be leaked, especially since the Sun Crest family had found the hidden underground chamber. Anything could happen if I continued to stay here.
A dark red smoke appeared before me. It quickly entered the room through the window gap. A hint of surprise flashed in my eyes; I didn’t expect the zero puppet to come this soon.
The dark red smoke gathered, and the zero puppet was revealed the next second.
“Master, I have completed the task,” the zero puppet said.
Hearing that, I was intrigued and excited. “Tell me from the beginning,” I asked while sitting on a chair.
The zero puppet began to recount the collected information from the start. At first, my expression was calm. But when I heard about Jamie Crest, my eyes gleamed with a twinkle.
He is a Magic Lord, yet he couldn’t sense the dark red smoke. This was amazing news. If it was true, then I could use the dark red puppet for information gathering.
I could use Otto for the appraisal shop. He was a Supreme wizard. Now, the zero puppet’s grade was at a similar level. I could use the puppet for fieldwork without any worry.
A few minutes later,
I had heard everything. I took the zero puppet back to the Gregor Mansion, then I appeared outside.
I immediately packed my things and left the room. I thought the news of the underground chamber would soon be exposed.
Since the Head of the Crest Family had made a move, the other forces would learn about it soon. Anything could happen next, and I didn’t want to get caught in the chaos.
I came to the admin desk and handed over the key. I told the staff that I was checking out. Both the male and female staff were a bit surprised, but they sighed in relief.
They felt like they were walking on a knife’s edge. Especially with someone from the hostile Magic towers staying in the hotel.
If the news were to reach the Head of the Family, it would be disastrous for them. They remained quiet until the guest left the hotel; then, they decided to inform the young master, Gary.
Outside,
I approached the car driver and offered him mid-grade mana stones to go to Crystal City. The driver was obviously willing. I entered the car and sat down in the back.
I told the driver to go. The driver was a young man, though slightly older than me. He drove the car right away.
…
Meanwhile,
Jamie Crest came to the empty ground. Seeing that the ground was surrounded by his people, he nodded his head before going towards the hidden underground chamber.
The elders were walking behind him, but their faces were filled with worry and anxiety.
Earlier, their young master and the magic lords had fainted. They learned that something from the hidden underground room had attacked them.
Jamie Crest looked worried as well. He arrived in front of the entrance and saw an old iron door.
“We are here. Be careful. Anything could attack us,” Jamie said to them.
The elders nodded their heads. The next second, a blazing red flame covered his body. Jamie, like a walking fire, stepped forward.
With each step, the ground beneath him melted. He touched the door, and the door melted away.
Seeing that, the elders behind him followed him without worry. They knew the prowess of the Family Head.
He walked into the room. The raging flame illuminated the place. Jamie saw the altar and other relics scattered across the room.
But there was no threatening dark red smoke inside. He walked up to the altar and didn’t find anything unusual.
His gaze then shifted to the relics. Among them were artifacts of use. But he didn’t know what he had missed.
“Ha… Ha… Ha…” Jamie let out a laugh.
“The underground chamber was not empty. We can provide something to the Flame Elemental Tower,” he said to the elders.
The elders walked into the room and saw the relics as well. Some of them were dangerous.
Yet, they didn’t know which one was responsible for young master Gary’s and the others’ condition.
But it was not the time to talk. They needed to collect the relics and take them back to the family.
Family Head Jamie counted the relics; he didn’t want anyone to play tricks, even if they were elders from the same family.
The elders knew about it. They didn’t dare to think about the forbidden items. The wizard families who held such banned items were strong.
They were the pillars of the Flame Elemental Tower. Now, these banned items would further strengthen the family.
