Gravity Mage with Level-Up System - Chapter 1843: A new quest!

Chapter 1843: A new quest!
Crystal City
A couple of hours later,
I returned to Crystal City quietly. I paid the fare to the driver before going home. It was already early morning.
Fortunately, I arrived before the shop opened. When I reached home, I walked into the place.
Old Man Rock was the first one to greet me. He was already awake. It didn’t take long for the other members to appear one by one.
“Master, how was the trip?” Rock asked.
“It went well. How are you guys doing?” I asked them.
“Master, the business is going well. It’s just that many people came to meet you. We told them that you were in seclusion,” Otto said from the side.
“You guys did well,” I replied.
Then I spoke with them for a few minutes before going to my room. Once I got there, I appeared inside the Gregor Mansion and went to bed to sleep.
Zero Puppet was in sleep mode but not deactivated. It consumes low mana energy since it is not active.
Time passed.
Morning came, and customers started arriving for the appraisal service. The appraisal shop had faced recent turmoil, but it gained fame because of it.
Now the Magic City and the satellite cities around it knew about the appraisal shop. People were coming from great distances to get an appraisal.
Since the service was affordably priced, it drew a large number of customers. It was good news for the shop, but bad news for the competitors.
Though the competitors in Crystal City disliked it, they couldn’t do anything about it. Now, the appraisal shop has a new owner.
The new owner was a famous wizard and an official member of the Silver Tower. He also belonged to the White Silver faction.
All of this made the new owner formidable. They would be crazy to offend such a person. However, it was different news for the other magic towers.
They didn’t like the growing influence of the Silver Tower. If the appraisal shop did well, it would increase the reputation of the Silver Tower.
They couldn’t let it happen, but the recent conflict between the Flame Elemental Tower and the Silver Tower kept them quiet.
They wouldn’t appear boldly to target the shop; they would receive the wrath of the Silver Tower if they did. Instead, they were going to wait for an opportunity.
A few hours later,
I woke up from my sleep. After getting out of bed, I performed my morning routine. Then, I spent a few hours in my daily mental method practice.
Noon.
I appeared outside and walked into the gallery office. The members were handling the customers.
As usual, I wore a mask to cover my face. The mask was good, but I didn’t know whether it would work against Forbidden Wizards.
I should look out for a better one. I summoned Otto to my room. Otto walked in.
“Master, what is it?” Otto asked.
“I’m going to need a powerful mask-type magic artifact. I have not faced other Forbidden Wizards or Elders so far.”
“I feel my current magic mask is lacking,” I added.
Otto’s eyes flickered. He understood the Master’s need.
“Don’t worry, Master. I will keep an eye out for a magic mask,” Otto replied.
Then he left the room. On the other hand, I took my device out and started going through the news.
[Crest Family’s discovery!]
[SunHaven City’s new banned item unearthed.]
[Flame Elemental Tower gains another banned item.]
Seeing the headlines, my eyes gleamed. I was right to leave that city. If I had stayed longer, it would have caused unwanted problems.
The matter of the underground hidden chambers was no longer a secret. I wondered whether they knew about the dark red orb. I had taken it before anyone else saw it.
So, no one knew about the real forbidden treasure; the others were just relics. I thought it was time to send out Zero Puppet to collect information on a magic mask.
The intelligence of the Zero Puppet was better than before. It could act on its own and was more lively. If it faced a mana stone shortage, the puppet could find a solution itself.
A bright smile appeared on my face. I looked at the gallery room. There were customers inside. I stood up and walked out of the room.
My gaze swept across the place. The customers were exploring the collections. After sparing a glance at the people, I went back to my room.
I released Zero Puppet there. The puppet already had information on Crystal City because of those books.
“Master,” Zero Puppet greeted me.
Hearing that, I smiled and gave it a new order: find information on a magic mask that can block the prying eyes of Forbidden Wizards, and if possible, Elders.
“I will complete the task,” Zero Puppet replied.
Swoosh!
The next second, the puppet transformed into dark red smoke and exited through the open window.
I raised my eyebrows in surprise. Zero Puppet’s ability surpassed my expectations. Because of its fusion with the dark red orb, it could go anywhere now.
Apart from the old, dying Ancestors, I doubted there were many active Forbidden Wizards in this city.
Then, I collected my thoughts and went downstairs. To my surprise, unexpected guests had come to see me.
“Leader Edmund, what a surprise,” I greeted him.
Edmund had come with his assistant, Jonah.
I welcomed both of them inside. Then we sat down on the couch.
Edmund was shocked internally. He didn’t sense any abnormalities. The shop owner, Frank, looked completely fine.
Jonah was shocked too, but he stayed quiet. He believed Manager Lara might have done something.
With the support of the Silver Tower, it was normal for Frank to recover quickly.
Edmund understood this fact as well. Frank was not really the owner anymore; the shop had a new owner now.
“How should we address you now?” Edmund asked.
“You can call me by my job title. Appraiser Frank is enough,” I replied.
“It’s a good title,” Jonah said from the side.
“I believe you guys have come here not only to check up on me. Is there anything else?” I asked.
