Gravity Mage with Level-Up System - Chapter 1845: Holden Barrett’s request

Chapter 1845: Holden Barrett’s request
Crystal City Shop
Two new visitors came to the shop. The visitors were none other than Supreme Wizard Holden Barrett and Butler Gideon.
He was here for the shop’s opening day. It was his second visit, but the owner had changed already. Now, the owner was one of them.
He walked into the place. Old Man Rock and the others recognized him. They stood up and went to greet him.
“It’s nice to see you guys again. But where is the shop owner, Frank?” Holden asked.
Then they pointed toward the gallery office. Seeing someone sitting inside, Holden looked toward Butler Gideon. He was going to talk to Appraiser Frank alone.
He walked through the gallery room and approached the door. He saw a masked man inside and raised his eyebrows.
He realized that he had never seen Frank’s true face before. He knocked on the door.
In the office, I turned toward the door and saw Holden outside. I gestured for him to enter. Holden opened the door and walked in. He shut the door and sat down opposite me.
“Appraiser Frank, it’s nice to see you again. I apologize for coming uninvited,” Holden said.
Hearing that, I smiled and said, “Don’t mention it. Friends from the Silver Tower can visit me anytime. One more thing, the shop has a new owner,” I added.
“Yeah, I know. But I’m not here to see him. I’m here to get your help for a family business matter,” Holden said.
“Family business?” I uttered in surprise. Since he was here to get my help, it had to be for an appraisal. “Does your family need help with appraisal work?” I asked him.
Holden was shocked. He didn’t expect Frank to see through his thoughts so easily.
“Yeah, it’s related to that. If you agree to help, then I will take you home.”
“Can you tell me what type of work? I have appointments here that I can’t postpone,” I said to him.
Hearing that, Holden was taken aback. He was too confident that Appraiser Frank would help him.
Then he realized that the shop owner had changed; it was Supreme Wizard Vincent Carey right now.
“If you had wanted to sell your shop and your services, I would have bought them for a higher price,” Holden said.
Everyone was thinking the same thing, but others were not acquainted with Appraiser Frank. Because Holden had come for the shop’s opening day, he was familiar with him.
A quick gleam appeared in my eyes. I didn’t expect him to lay out his thoughts like that.
“Wizard Vincent saved my life. That’s why I’m happy that he bought the shop,” I said to him.
Holden knew that might be the case. Otherwise, there were wizards in the Silver Tower who had much more influential backgrounds than Vincent Carey.
“Alright, I want to know whether you want to help or not,” Holden asked.
“After finishing my current schedule, I’ll contact you through Manager Lara. I’m happy to help,” I said.
Only then did Holden smile.
“Thanks. I’m leaving now. I hope you will finish your work soon.” After saying that, Holden left the place.
I saw him leaving, and curiosity appeared in my heart. This person wouldn’t come here for fun; his family was one of the strongest in the Silver Tower.
If he had wanted to, he could have sought help from others, yet he had come here. I really wanted to know what this was about.
But there was one problem. I didn’t have a magic mask that could protect me from the eyes of the Forbidden Wizards and Elders.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the Barrett family had an Elder-level ancestor. I didn’t want to offend him, but at the same time, I really needed a high-level magic mask to protect myself.
The zero puppet was doing great work, but I thought it would take a long time to find the exact location.
Since the zero puppet said that the Mage Union had a magic mask, I decided to claim my reward from the Silver Tower.
After figuring it out, I took my device and phoned Manager Lara. She answered the call immediately.
“Manager Lara, I need a mask which can protect me from the prying eyes of the Forbidden Wizards and Elders,” I said to her.
“What is this about?” Lara asked, taken aback.
“Yeah, I need one. I have unclaimed rewards from my previous mission. Could you get it from the Mage Union?” I asked her.
“I will ask Lord Charlotte. Only Elders have authority. I think she will ask Elder Dana,” Lara explained.
“Alright, tell her. I’m in urgent need of the mask. Only then can I go outside,” I said to her.
“Okay. I will do that. Hey, did you hear about the forbidden items in SunHaven City?” Lara asked.
Hearing that, I was taken aback. I didn’t expect the news to reach her.
“Yes, I heard that,” I replied.
“These days, forbidden items are surfacing. So be careful,” Lara advised.
“Okay,” I replied.
Then we talked about a few other things before ending the call. After a long time, I was finally requesting something from the Mage Union.
…
Outside, Holden Barrett and Butler Gideon were on their way back to the magic city on their aircraft.
“Young Master, why didn’t you order him?” Gideon asked.
Hearing that, Holden shook his head. He said, “Appraiser Frank’s identity is different now. He is a relative of Manager Lara, and he works for Wizard Vincent.”
“I have only come across him once or twice, and both the Lords support him. I didn’t want to offend him.”
Gideon’s eyes flickered. He said, “If Appraiser Frank had sold the shop to us, then his life would have been settled.”
“Instead, he sold the shop to nobody. Now, that man will gain influence in the faction because of Appraiser Frank.”
Holden smiled and said, “Wizard Vincent saved his life. So it’s normal for him to pay back the debt. We can drop this matter. He agreed to help us and will get back to us in a few days.”
Gideon said nothing, but he was displeased. No one had treated the heir of the Barrett family like this before.
