GREED: ALL FOR WHAT? - Chapter 2228 - 2228: Pressure All Around.

The fight between the two gangs was full of shock and impact. Both Henry and the rest of the Cold Blade gang were shocked by the sudden appearance of the enemy and failed to defend against the attack.

For Henry, he was attacked and besieged by five gods. He couldn’t defeat the enemy, and he couldn’t escape. He died soon after his pets died. This was less than five seconds into the fight. He was simply overwhelmed.

As for the gang fight, the members of the Cold Blade gang weren’t doing so well either. They weren’t doing well in the confrontation because they didn’t have the advantage of their arrays, traps, and walls in the fight. They didn’t even have the time to call back all their forces and prepare for battle.

Being unprepared for a battle turned out to be a fatal mistake for them. Their unpreparedness was so bad that for many of the members of the Cold Blade gang, they died without knowing what was going on.

About 30% of those that died did so without knowing what was going on. 50% knew what was going on but died before they could resist. The remaining 20% managed to put up a decent fight before they were crushed.

The whole fight didn’t look like a fight between two gangs. There was no prelude, such as the assassination and intimidation of members. And there certainly wasn’t a square-off between the two gangs.

Usually the gangs would pick a battlefield for the final confrontation in order not to destroy each other’s territory. The fight will also be witnessed by nobles and other gang leaders.

But none of those happened here. The whole thing seemed more like a raid than a fight.

The Golden Hammer gang employed overwhelming force and fast speed to crush every opposition in their enemy’s base. Many people didn’t like that.

After the battle, the members of the Golden Hammer gang began to cheer. They organized a party to celebrate the acquisition of more territory.

While this was happening, the noble supporting the Golden Hammer gang had been bombarded with complaints from many people. These people are nobles who felt that she had cheated and broken the rules.

Noble Celine was happy to hear that the Golden Hammer gang had managed to defeat their neighbors and acquire their territories, but she wasn’t happy that they had bypassed her in the process.

Apart from the personal issue of pride that she has with this situation, there is also the fact that she has offended a lot of people with this move.

But she couldn’t go marching off to give a talking-to to Golden Hammer just yet. She still had to have breakfast with her family. This was tradition.

But as she sat down, she realized that she wasn’t the only one who had been informed about the situation. Her two elder brothers seemed to have been informed too. She couldn’t come up with any other reason for why they were glaring at her.

But glare was all that they did. Apart from the sneer on their faces and their icy tone whenever they spoke to her, everything else was normal.

The dining table was very long. It could seat 42 people at the same time. There would be 20 people on each side of the table and 1 person on both ends of the table.

Right now, there are only 10 people. This is the number of people who eat at the table when there are no guests and when only the members of this nuclear family are seated.

There is the head of the family and three wives. Then there are the six children, three of whom came from the first wife, two from the second wife, and one child from the third wife.

To foster communication and interaction, everyone sat on one end of the table. This way they would be close to each other and would be able to clearly see the hatred in the glaring eyes of one’s half-brothers.

Everyone chatted amicably about various issues and events that happened recently. So it was no wonder when the matter of the Golden Hammer gang was brought up.

Celine didn’t try to defend herself by saying the whole thing wasn’t her fault and that she had been undermined by her gang. No one was going to believe her anyway.

To them, she is a lying person who lulled her two brothers into a state of rest while she butchered their forces. This is the kind of person she would like to be seen as, not the easily pressured woman that everyone thought she was, so she accepted their glares proudly.

She smirked as she said, “It was all because I wanted to give my brothers a present. I’ve had that thought ever since he said that I could never amount to anything great.”

Her two brothers glared intensely at her while the others at the table chuckled and watched on with relish while adding little bit here and there to make the situation more interesting. Only her father didn’t say anything.
