GREED: ALL FOR WHAT? - Chapter 2333: Beasts vs Humans.

Chapter 2333: Beasts vs Humans.
The difference between beasts and human godclads that beasts were born with divine flesh. The number and size of the divine flesh indicate the upper limit and the power of the beasts, respectively.
A beast with six types of divine flesh or organs will only be able to reach rank 6. But the bigger the divine flesh or divine organ they have, the more powerful they will be at each stage.
The number and size of divine flesh can be likened to the potential and power of a beast. Since immediate power is oftentimes more important than future potential, the beasts with a larger size of divine flesh tend to survive more regardless of the amount of divine flesh that they have.
This makes it so that beasts that reach a higher rank tend to have larger divine flesh and are bigger in size than their counterparts. This was why it was easy to identify the four rank 6 beasts in the beast tide.
Apart from size, the rank 6 beasts also had authority. They were more like leaders and commanders, so they didn’t fight at the front line. Instead, they led from the back of the army while their minions paved the way for them with their lives.
Beasts lack intelligence compared to humans, but even the most stupid beast will gain some intelligence after becoming extraordinary. By the time they reach rank 6, their intelligence would have also become extraordinary because of their powerful spirit.
So these beasts knew how to plan and how to make good plans. Their current plan was to make the humans waste their time, effort, energy, gunpowder, bullets, etc. on the weaklings in the army.
This was a good plan because it was going to work. The humans would have to destroy the tens of thousands of weaker beasts first or let their precious city be ravaged by them.
This plan was also good because it didn’t put the beasts in danger themselves. As the leaders of the beast tide, if they fall, the beasts will lose their motivation to attack, so the beast tide will end.
Even if they are suicidal and don’t care for their lives, they have to care for the reason they started the beast tide. If they don’t want to fail and if they don’t want all of their effort to gather so many beasts to go to waste, they must preserve their lives and make full use of the weaker beasts to tire the humans.
The next part of their plan was to not simply throw away the lives of the weaker beasts. It was why they spent time demarcating the beasts into various groups based on strength, durability, speed, and the ability to fly.
They intend to make the beasts do what they are good at. That way, even if they die, they would have done their best to be useful.
The last part of their plan, and probably the most important part, is to find a way to breach the wall. If they don’t breach the wall, then no amount of weaker beasts will be able to threaten the humans.
To achieve this important part of their plan, they will need strong beasts to break the wall and let the weaker ones pass through the wall into the city. These strong beasts will need to be at the epic level at the very least.
The stronger the beasts that they send to break the wall, the higher their chance of breaking the wall. But it is also highly likely that their intention to break the wall will only lead to them offering their strong minions up to be killed by the humans while the wall remains intact.
Fortunately, they have siege weapons of their own that are capable of breaking the wall without sacrificing their strong minions.
These siege weapons are catapults and trebuchets. There are also strong beasts capable of throwing large stones over a large distance.
The rank 6 beasts were smart enough to produce the siege weapons and also smart enough to stand back to protect them. So it seemed that the beasts were capable of matching the humans in terms of preparation for a siege.
Everyone who saw the four rank 6 beasts and the large crude catapults behind the tide of beasts realized immediately that the battle wasn’t going to be an easy one.
With a quick observation, it can be seen that the beasts have quality in the form of four powerful rank 6 beasts, quantity in the form of an army of beasts reaching 100,000 in size, and wisdom in the form of strategic army grouping and knowledge of sieging tactics.
On the other side of the battlefield are the humans. The humans appear to be prepared, but they are as loose as a handful of sand. This is because they are unwilling to work together.
Technically, everyone is supposed to be working together to defeat the beasts and overcome the beast tide. But it truly seemed as if only the Golden Hammer gang and the Light Temple gang would be doing anything to resist the beast tide.
The beast tide that should have been shared by everyone now has to be handled by only a few. The pressure on the Golden Hammer gang will clearly be higher than normal.
In fact, it is safe to say that the Golden Hammer gang is going to fall and their part of the wall will be breached. It is either that, or a single gang is strong enough to match four rank 6 beasts, twelve rank 5 beasts, and thirty-three rank 4 beasts.
In total, the Golden Hammer gang will be resisting 52 epic beings and nearly a hundred thousand other beings. If they can do that, then they deserve to control the entire outer city.
No one thought that they would be able to do it. Yet, no one from the outer city offered to help. They were all hoping and waiting to see the Golden Hammer gang fail.
