GREED: ALL FOR WHAT? - Chapter 2341: Blue Peacock.

Chapter 2341: Blue Peacock.
Using the power of their Domain divine ability, they twisted the world to their wish by uttering commands.
The first command was, “Flying is not allowed in this city.”
Then came, “Nothing can harm the legends in this city.”
There were even more commands as they were in a desperate situation.
One of them said, “There is a large barrier protecting the legends in this city.”
The other added, “The legends of this city are immune to the divine abilities of killers for the next 10 seconds.”
They made so many rules to save themselves, but not one of them helped. Actually, the rules did help. It was just that the attack was too powerful and broke all of them.
The red lightning bypassed the effects of all the rules that they had set and struck the two of them. It didn’t achieve this unscathed, as it had reduced in size by the time it struck the legends.
The red lightning gave up part of its power to overcome the effects of the rules. On the other side, the legends had run out of spiritual energy trying to stop it.
If the legends had a lot of spiritual energy, they might have been able to ground down the attack. But they ran out of spiritual energy at the last moment, so they failed. Then they suffered.
The two legends both received two red lightning bolts each. One red lightning caused a fourth of their bodies to decay and scatter into ashes instantly. The second red lightning bolt scattered another fourth of their bodies into ashes.
This left them with 20% of their bodies left. This 20% was part of their heads and fragmented portions of their torso, including their spine.
By this time, the legends were already falling from the sky to the ground. But the injuries sustained from the fall was the least of their problems currently.
Legends can heal from this kind of injury if given a lot of time and resources, such as a drink from a spring of life. But that might not be likely in this situation because the danger wasn’t over yet.
The remaining 20% were still decaying, so they were still dying. This was because the red lightning bolt was still lingering over what remained of their bodies.
The legends were in danger of dying, but they had run out of spiritual energy trying to stop that attack. So they became desperate.
In order to save themselves, they decided to unleash their divine form. Liberating their divine form is something they don’t like to do because of the risk of losing control, but they don’t care about losing control at this particular time.
After liberating their divine form, what was left of the two legends expanded and grew into two blue peacocks. The two peacocks were injured, incomplete, and in pain. This caused them to shriek and cry out in pain. Then they both went mad.
The power of their divine form was able to help them disperse the residual effect of that attack. But they had no spiritual energy left, so they were weak mentally and spiritually. This made it easy for them to lose control.
Everyone watching had first been stunned by the series of events. They had been shocked into a stupor when the mighty legends were struck down from the sky by red lightning. But they had to move into action now because of the mad divine beasts that had suddenly appeared in the city.
For one, everyone looking at the legends was affected spiritually by the sight of their divine forms. For epic godclads, the spiritual impact only caused their eyes to bleed and their minds to hurt as if their heads were breaking.
But normal godclads were not so lucky. Any normal godclad from rank 1 to rank 3 watching lost control immediately and mutated.
As for mortals, they died instantly. Their spirits scattered, so they just dropped dead and died wherever they stood. This scene of death was similar to what had happened in Levi’s village.
The irony about this situation was that the mutants created from the normal godclads were more dangerous than the mad divine beasts themselves because the divine beasts were still out of spiritual energy, so they couldn’t use their divine abilities.
The mad divine beasts were also out of life energy. So they couldn’t move either.
They were out of their minds, out of spiritual energy, and also out of life energy. So the best that they could do was lie on the ground shrieking incomprehensibly to people and causing mutations to those who witnessed them.
Some of Legion’s clones found this sight to be funny, but they couldn’t laugh about it because this comical situation was only a prelude to something dangerous that might affect them.
The blue peacocks won’t be out of spiritual and life energy for long. They will recover, so whatever was funny about their situation will quickly morph into something horrific.
They realized that something had to be done to eliminate the Divine Beasts now before they become a danger. This was what they were thinking about and most concerned about, not laughing about the comical sight of two giant peacocks struggling and failing to walk like children.
Even as they watched, the divine beasts were recovering. They were beginning to stand. Legion could already tell that they dwarfed the rank 6 beasts in size. So they can be sure that these rank 7 divine beasts would also dwarf the four rank 6 beasts in power.
They thought to themselves, “This is not good.”
Even Sir Kriss of the Edward family agreed with them. He began to call for help and backup.
While this was going on, the voice from the forest sounded again. It was also a laughter again. But this time, the sound of laughter was louder.
It was clear that whoever was in the forest who was loud enough to speak and be heard from so far away was very pleased with themselves.
