Using the Mindscape to attack one’s mind directly will be quick and simple. But they decided not to use this method against the god of knowledge so that he won’t learn new things about them and gain more Leverage of Knowledge over them.
They had many ways to stop him other than using the Mindscape to attack his mind directly, but they let him go because they didn’t need to kill him and because they had a better plan for him. Besides, they have more important things to deal with at the moment, so they let the god of knowledge escape for the meantime.
They said to themselves as they gained control of the Crown of Nobility, “Anyway, he can’t escape from us anymore.”
With their mind made up, they quickly gained control of the Crown of Nobility. Then they took it away to the Mindscape to give it to their true body.
They left the authority of justice behind. This was because they didn’t need it. They also didn’t have the time and energy to care about it.
The authority of the pathway of justice is called the Star of Justice. It appears to be a small star more than a kilometer across. Its presence caused the surrounding area to become bright like the day.
The appearance of the Star of Justice couldn’t be hidden from the world. So everyone knew that the god of justice had died. Many believers wept and despaired while the angels of justice approached the Star of Justice in order to become the next god of justice.
All three angels of justice appeared and began competing for the Star of Justice. They cared for the god of justice and respected him, but they cared for power more and respected power more. So they didn’t have any qualms about fighting on top of the body of the god of justice.
While this was happening, the god of crime and error stood some distance away and looked at the fight unfolding before him with a stern and angry look on his face.
He was hidden, so no one could see him. This was why the angels of justice could still compete for the Star of Justice while he was looking at them.
He also didn’t try to stop them from taking the Star of Justice. He just stood there and watched the fight with his arms folded across his chest.
The god of justice was dead, and the Star of Justice was his for the taking, but the god of crime and error was not happy with this development at all. In fact, his emotions were the opposite of what he should be feeling.
Instead of being happy that he could now unite all three pathways and gain the opportunity to become a supreme god, he was very angry. Instead of being grateful to the person who had given him this great opportunity, all he wanted to do was to kill the person.
As he stared at the Star of Justice, his eyes grew cold. He gritted his teeth and said to himself, “This hatred will not be forgotten, and this transgression will not be forgiven. I must have revenge. I must have my payback.”
He had many reasons to be angry. The first and foremost is that he has lost the talent of the god of justice and has lost the opportunity to acquire six pathways.
The loss of his future as a god with six pathways is the most important cause of his immense hatred. But there are other reasons, such as the loss of the authority of Nobility, the loss of the authority of slavery, and the fact that he now has to work hard to gain control of the Star of Justice.
That last issue is perhaps the second most important source of his hatred. This is because only those with a pure and kind heart who have done good deeds all of their lives will be able to gain control of the Star of Justice and become the god of justice.
He could have bypassed this requirement by taking the identity of the god of justice. But now he has to work hard in order to gain control of the Star of Justice. At the very least, he has to spend a number of years helping and saving people.
The god of justice had gained his qualifications by saving people from the tyranny of nobles. He is nowhere close to such a qualification. In fact, the angels of justice have more qualifications to become the god of justice than he does.
His best course of action is to let an angel of justice become the god of justice. Then he can steal the identity of the new god of justice. This is why he didn’t try to stop the angels of justice from fighting for the Star of Justice.
So for now, he doesn’t need to do anything in order to gain control of the Star of Justice. He just has to make sure that no one interferes with the competition and progress of the angels of justice. This gives him the time to pursue the goal of avenging the great slight that has been done to him.
Meanwhile, a virtual body of the god of telepathy was still working on digging out the authority of slavery. They are stronger now than they were in their original timeline, but it will still take them time to dig out the authority of slavery.
While this was happening, another virtual body had gone to retrieve the Sword of Man, and a third virtual body had gone to kill the god of death and the god of life.
It is very difficult to enter the underworld without the permission of the god of death. But they had the memories of the god of death, so they knew what the insides of the underworld looked like, so it wouldn’t be difficult for them to find and enter it through the Mindscape.
