GREED: ALL FOR WHAT? - Chapter 2652: God Of Changes.

Chapter 2652: God Of Changes.
It can be said that every high god in existence was acting against Legion at this moment. And it can also he said that none of them was holding back in fighting Legion. They were very sincere about this.
Unfortunately for them, it just wasn’t enough. All they did and threw at Legion fell a little short of affecting Legion.
The white expanse created by the Seal ultimate ability of the god of guardians actually worked well on the black tide and the fat worms in it. The seal actually nullified their power, weakened them, and froze them.
Throughout the process where the white expanse was freezing and sealing the fat worms, the fat worms couldn’t infect the white expanse and follow it back to its source in order to infect the god of guardians, too. This wasn’t because time was moving normally.
Apparently, the Seal ultimate ability can deal with the Virus ultimate ability and stop the infection in its tracks. This would have been the case even if time were moving normally. Unfortunately, the user of the Seal ultimate ability was too weak.
Because the power of the Seal ultimate ability was too weak, the rate at which the white expanse was freezing the infection was far too slow than the rate at which the infection was spreading.
So the black tide was still spreading despite the best efforts of the white expanse. But things only got worse for the god of guardians when the Self Supremacy ultimate ability took effect.
The Seal ultimate ability wasn’t affecting Legion directly, so the Self Supremacy ultimate ability couldn’t build immunity against it. However, the Self Supremacy ultimate ability was still able to build offensive resistance in the Virus ultimate ability.
So in a few seconds, the black tide became stronger and stronger than the white expanse of the Seal ultimate ability. That way, the rate at which the fat worms were frozen dwindled and slowed down until it was insignificant.
The Erasure ultimate ability of the god of destruction and creation also worked well on the black tide. It caused the fat worms to disappear completely, so there was no way for them to infect the god of destruction and creation.
Unfortunately for the god of destruction and creation, the same thing that happened to the Seal ultimate ability also happened to the Erasure ultimate ability. Her ultimate ability worked well for a while, but the effect slowed down until it became laughable.
The Erasure ultimate ability went from killing one fat worm per second to killing one fat worm per hour and then to killing one fat worm per day. Meanwhile, Legion was still producing ten thousand fat worms per second.
The move of the god of luck on them also failed. This time, it failed spectacularly and right from the start.
His move failed because the Luck Stealing divine ability didn’t work on Legion at all. If he had used it on the fat worms, it might have worked for a while before it became ineffective. Using it on Legion directly only meant that it would fail too quickly.
Since his first move didn’t work, he used the Luck Removal divine ability on Legion. Then he sacrificed his own luck to enhance the luck of the god of travelers.
The god of luck didn’t plan to sacrifice his own luck in the first place. He planned to siphon Legion’s luck with the Luck Stealing divine ability and deposit the stolen luck on the god of travelers with the Luck Addition divine ability.
If this set of moves had worked, the tides might have turned because luck increases the probability of something happening. The higher the luck, the easier it will be for favorable but unlikely events to happen. This is how luck can overcome strength.
Right now, the struggle is in favor of the god of telepathy because the god of telepathy is so strong. But if the luck of the god of telepathy falls while the luck of the god of travelers rises, the god of travelers might be able to overcome the resistance of the existence of the god of telepathy.
Unfortunately, this move didn’t work. So the god of fate had to give up his own luck to add to that of the god of travelers. He did this while trying to reduce the luck of the god of telepathy through other means.
But, maybe because of his fallen luck, the Luck Removal divine ability also failed to work on the god of telepathy. So all he was able to achieve was to sacrifice his luck to enhance the luck of the god of travelers. This wasn’t good enough because his luck wasn’t enough to bridge the immense gap in strength between the god of travelers and the god of telepathy.
There was also the god of changes. Her attempt to increase the entropy in Legion and reduce their energy also failed to take effect. She could only succeed in increasing the energy of the god of travelers while increasing the entropy in herself.
So just like the god of luck, she had to give up her power and sacrifice something to help the god of travelers. And just like the god of luck, what she was able to sacrifice wasn’t good enough to make much of a difference.
One by one, their actions against Legion failed. They had more success boosting the power of the god of travelers than actually harming Legion.
Their effort didn’t go to waste, though. The combined help of all the high gods was able to help the god of travelers start moving again. His speed was still slow, though.
In order to rewind time, the god of travelers had to be traveling more than one second per second into the past. Only in this way could he overcome the forward motion of time that is one second per second into the future.
But because of Legion’s massive existence, his speed fell to 1.00001 seconds per second into the past.
