The help of the other high gods increased the speed of the god of travelers to 1.0001 seconds per second into the past. This is ten times faster than his previous speed, but it is still too slow to effect any meaningful changes quickly.

This speed is terribly slow compared to the fact that the god of travelers should be able to move at least 100 seconds per second into the past. So, despite the help of the other high gods, he is still 99.99 times slower than his normal speed.

As things are, the god of travelers will run out of energy before he can rewind time by a useful amount. After all, he needs to work hard at full capacity for 10,000 seconds before he can actually move 1 second into the past.

This made Legion laugh and say, “Power is power. No amount of wriggling will be able to overcome power. You either have it, or you don’t. And clearly, you don’t have it.”

They had the right to gloat because, despite the ganging up of the other high gods on them, they were still victorious. It is the right of the victor to enjoy the spoils of victory after they fought for it.

So Legion said to every high god, “Just you wait. When I’m done with him, you’re all next.”

As he spoke, the black tide of fat worms surged closer and closer to the god of travelers. In a few seconds at most, the black tide will make contact with the god of travelers and will begin converting him into a puppet. Then the gods will be doomed.

But while this was going on, the god of history had been successful in what he was doing. The god of history had successfully sent back a message to his past self.

The god of history was successful because Legion’s existence couldn’t stop him. Even if Legion could stop him somehow, the god of fate had helped the god of travelers and made every other high god help the god of travelers so that the god of travelers would distract Legion.

While Legion was dealing with the god of travelers and every high god, the god of history successfully sent the message to the point in his past when the god of seers was helping the god of dreams to look for the angel of telepathy.

That was a time way before the god of telepathy had become a god. So he has a lot of time and space to change this unfortunate future.

The message he sent to his past included a clear instruction for the god of seers of the past to work with the god of dreams to kill the then godling of telepathy. This was opposite to what the god of seers did in the past.

Instead of the god of seers watching on the sidelines while Legion killed the god of dreams, the god of seers was proactive in helping the god of dreams fight and hunt telepathy. The god of seers even appeared with his true body to kill Legion.

So a god and a high God worked together to kill a godling. Unfortunately for them, they still failed to kill that godling because Legion was able to activate the Invulnerability ultimate ability of the pathway of undying.

In the past, Legion hadn’t sensed any danger when the god of dreams came to kill them because the god of dreams was too weak to be a threat to them. But now that the god of dreams and the god of seers were working together, Legion was able to sense the danger ahead of time and start trying to escape before the two gods could kill them.

After activating the Invulnerability ultimate ability, which separated Legion from the world, the god of seers and the god of dreams couldn’t harm Legion. This period of Invulnerability was brief, but it granted Legion the time to use the Mindscape to escape.

So even though the god of seers was a god of two pathways, had the help of the god of dreams, and knew a lot about Legion from the future, they still failed to kill Legion.

If they had succeeded in killing Legion, the Legion of the future wouldn’t exist at all, so there would be no danger of being enslaved. But even though they failed to kill Legion, they still succeeded in frustrating Legion and slowing down his growth in the past.

One of the things the god of seers did was to spread the fact that Legion had three main pathways: the pathway of telepathy, the pathway of undying, and the pathway of slavery. No one knows that they also have the pathway of killing, so the god of seers couldn’t sabotage this.

Another thing the god of seers did was to kill the god of dreams and give his authority to the god of illusion. He also protected the god of nobles so that Legion wouldn’t be able to kill him and acquire the authority of nobles and the authority of slavery.

As for the god of death and the god of life, the two of them hid and didn’t fight so as not to let Legion take advantage of them. This way, Legion was blocked from acquiring more authorities at every turn.

Unfortunately, this still wasn’t able to stop the Legion of the past. This was because the Legion of the past already possessed the authority of undying and the authority of telepathy.

Legion was able to use the two authorities in its possession to grow very strong by first becoming the gods of the two pathways and then becoming the high gods of the two pathways.

AT that point, they still became the strongest god in existence. The gods that could rival them are the gods with two pathways, like the god of seers, the god of guardians, the god of creation, and the god of guardians. Unfortunately for them, these gods hadn’t been able to fuse completely with the two pathways like Legion had.
