Chapter 2658: More Than A Billion.

The second set of a million minds believe that reality is too fragile to support their existence, so they expect that as they grow stronger, they will fall closer and closer to their origin.

This is why they believe that it is inevitable that they will fuse with their origin. Even if they are wrong, the other set of a million minds believe that they can force the fusion with their origin with brute force and power.

A million minds sounds like a lot, but it is just a drop in the bucket of how many minds Legion has. Only a billion minds might count as something significant for Legion.

But Legion still wanted more. They continued to assimilate everything, ranging from matter to energy, and even dreams and thoughts. They took and took until they couldn’t take anymore. Then they fell into their origin.

Just like when they became world gods, they fell into an infinite darkness. But this infinite darkness possessed infinite energy and infinite laws. So carving out a portion of this darkness is good for them.

A world god will require a world engine and a world seed together with their Supreme law in order to carve out a portion of the origin to serve as their foundation. Legion didn’t have a world engine and a world seed, yet they were able to provide enough energy and power to anchor themselves to the origin.

But far more than that, Legion wasn’t interested in taking a limited part of the origin. No matter how big the area of the origin they can fuse with, they won’t be satisfied. What they want is to have everything.

Any other Supreme Origin god who dares to want to fuse with all of the infinite origin will either fail spectacularly or explode and die. But none of these two happened to Legion because they truly had the potential to be infinite.

With the potential to be infinite, their breakthrough to the origin god level could never end. This was because they kept fusing with the origin. This is exactly the special state of a limitless being.

With every moment that passed by, they were growing stronger and stronger. Their growth in strength wasn’t only in raw power in the present, but it was also across time and space.

Now that they have become limitless, and since the manipulation of time in this world isn’t restricted, they could not only grow bigger in space, but they could also grow larger in time by fusing with every version of themselves across time.

So they were fusing with their past and future selves. This caused their growth to become explosive and exponential. They went from being able to increase in size by 2 times per second to 10 times per second, and then to 100 times per second.

As they were growing stronger into the future by fusing with their future versions, they went upstream in the timeline until they met Gehaldirah. Gehaldirah fused with them, and so did the first Legion.

From the first Legion, they fused with every version of Legion until they reached a limit. This limit was the point in the future where they would encounter ANNIHILATION.

As history has proven, ANNIHILATION will defeat them soundly and will seek to destroy them across the future and past. However, this won’t happen because both the past and future Legions are limitless with 13 aspects.

When two limitless versions of the same being meet, nothing usually happens. But if those limitless have 13 aspects all achieved independently, then wonders can happen.

In this case, one limitless is composed of 12 Legions who have the combined ability to convert any Supreme being into a Legion and empower the original 12 Legions, while the other limitless is one Legion that is also an infinite Legion, so even an Absolute has to be wary of them.

The two versions of Legion fused without any issue, which verified the Aspect of Unity as a power and phenomenon that they can wield with Absolute force. Once this occurred, a 13th origin cycle that transcends time and space and belongs solely to them was created. Thus, Legion became the 13th Absolute.

The elevation of their state of existence was monumental. Every Absolute connected to the same origin sensed the addition of a new comrade, and they were glad.

No matter what they thought of UNITY, they were happy to get another Absolute because each channel to the origin across time and space strengthens every Absolute.

In fact, Legion’s ascension to UNITY didn’t come as a surprise to them. They knew that he was in the process of ascension, and they knew that once he ascended, he would be able to threaten them.

But even though they could stop Legion from ascending, they didn’t do so because the existence of an Absolute is a good thing for them. Plus, they have been Absolutes long before UNITY became an Absolute, and for longer stretches of the timeline than UNITY, this makes them automatically stronger than UNITY.

Just as the other 12 Absolutes sensed UNITY, UNITY was also able to sense them. UNITY was able to sense that they were in parallel timelines and in parallel universes. They sensed that these Absolutes were battling versions of them in alternate timelines.

This made UNITY say, “So we were wrong to think that the Absolutes had left the Multiverse when we were coming to the past.”

“The truth is that the Absolutes were still in the Multiverse. We just couldn’t sense them because they were in alternate timelines. It can be said that they have been right beside us all along, but we couldn’t see them. I guess this is the difference between an Absolute and a limitless.”

A billion trillion trillion trillion minds echoed with that thought. Some felt amused, while others felt exasperated, and some felt ashamed of their past incompetence and ignorance. But all of them were enlightened about the special state of Absolutes.
