“This is what I wanted to say to you,” Yu Dong said with a polite smile. “I want you to take care of my family while I am gone, though I know that Aunt Wang and Sister Junfen would be willing to care for them but just in case they are not available, take care of my husbands and children.”
“Then—then when are you leaving?” Village Head Gu asked.
“Now,” Yu Dong sighed as she looked in the direction of the Yu house; she wanted to say goodbye to her husbands.
But when she thought about it carefully, she knew that she wouldn’t be able to leave.
Yu Dong turned to look at Village Head Gu, whose eyes were filled with tears.
“Don’t look at me like that, Village Head Gu,” Yu Dong patted the old woman on the shoulders before saying to her, “If fate allows it, we will meet again.”
She then turned around and walked over to the horse that was standing a bit far from where she was standing.
Yu Dong climbed up on the horse; she turned to look at Village Head Gu and said to her, “Do let my husbands know that I already left, Village Head Gu. I am sorry for the trouble.”
“Mad—madam Yu!” Village Head Gu chased after Yu Dong, who let out a hiyah and whipped her horse, who stormed out of the village.
The poor woman watched Yu Dong leave with dread creeping over her spine.

The crowd who was watching the show turned around and headed out of the house when Master Yu was thrown out of the house with his belongings.
However, they saw Village Head Gu standing outside like a statue.

Village Head Gu snapped out of her daze and turned to look at the crowd standing behind her.

“This question should be asked by us,” said one of the women. She looked at Village Head Gu and then said to her, “You were the one who was standing in the middle of the path like you had seen a ghost. What’s going on?”
Upon hearing that question, Village Head Gu’s face turned pale with anger as she snapped, “Bah! Don’t even get me started on that Yu Linyun! She had ruined our village.”
As soon as she finished speaking, she relayed everything that Yu Dong had told her and where she had gone; once Village Head Gu finished speaking, the entire crowd turned silent.
“Madam Yu went to war?”
“How can she go to war?”
“She might be talented in fighting but how can she join the war!?”
“What would happen to our village?”
Village Head Gu looked at the worried faces and snorted. “If you have any complaints, then take it up with Yu Linyun. She is the one who caused this situation to escalate to this point.”
After she finished speaking, she turned on her feet and walked to the Yu house. She needed to relay the information of Yu Dong leaving the village and joining the war to Shen Li and the rest.
