Harem System In A fantasy World - Chapter 150: Interesting

Chapter 150: Interesting
Celeste stared at him for a few seconds after he spoke.
Her red eyes searched his face, as if trying to figure out whether he was joking or simply insane. When she realized he was completely serious, she crossed her arms over her small chest and turned her head slightly.
“Hmph. Don’t be ridiculous,” she muttered.
But the faint pink on her cheeks gave her away.
Just then, the door opened.
Liora stepped back into the lounge, holding a folded set of clothes in her arms. She looked between the two of them with a bright smile.
“I’m back,” she said cheerfully. “Did you guys have fun while I was gone?”
Celeste immediately stiffened.
“There was nothing to have fun about,” she said quickly, a little too quickly.
Elion raised a brow but said nothing. Liora walked over and handed him the clothes.
“Here. Shirt, trousers, and your tunic. I didn’t know which boots you preferred, so I just grabbed whatever.”
Elion took them with a nod. “Thanks.”
Liora looked at the two of them again, eyes narrowing slightly in curiosity.
“You both look… a little tense,” she said.
“We had a discussion,” Celeste replied calmly.
“Oh?” Liora tilted her head. “Important one?”
Elion gave a small shrug. “Something like that.”
Celeste shot him a quick glance, silently warning him not to say more.
Liora’s smile widened, but she didn’t press further.
“Well, hurry up and change,” she said.
Elion smirked slightly.
He stood up and walked toward the side room to change, leaving the two girls in the lounge.
As soon as he disappeared behind the door, Liora leaned slightly toward Celeste.
“So,” she whispered, “what did I miss?”
Celeste’s face flushed again.
“Nothing,” she said firmly.
Liora grinned.
“Sure.”
…
The next day, the classroom felt unusually full.
Elion sat near the middle row, with Aria pressed comfortably against his side. She had wasted no time claiming her seat the moment she arrived that morning, and now she leaned into his chest as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
Mira and Aria had both come to see him later the previous day. Unfortunately for him, the evening had not turned into anything particularly spicy.
Right now, however, Aria seemed content simply being close.
“Pay attention,” Mira muttered from his other side, though she did not move away.
“I am,” Elion replied calmly.
At the front of the class, George stood behind the podium. Selene and Eveline were standing slightly behind him, both with serious expressions.
“We have some big changes in the daily schedule coming up,” George began.
The chatter in the room died down immediately.
“We have been given authorization to begin sending individual teams of first years into the dungeon.”
A wave of whispers spread across the class. George raised his hand slightly, and silence returned.
“This privilege is usually reserved for second years and above,” he continued. “And even then, only on occasion.”
His gaze swept across the room.
“But I’m sure you all understand the reason.” The legacy world had everyone excited.
The room grew quiet again. Selene stepped forward slightly.
“The academy believes you are progressing faster than your seniors,” she said calmly. “Many of you have already reached levels comparable to lower second years.”
Eveline crossed her arms lightly.
“However,” she added, “this is not a reward. It is a test.”
George raised his hand again to quiet the room.
“You will not be assigned teams by us,” he said clearly. “You may form your own groups.”
The classroom immediately came alive with murmurs.
“Each group must consist of at least four or five members,” he continued. “You may choose your teammates freely.”
That caused even more excitement.
“And yes,” George added, anticipating the next question, “you may include students from other classes in your group.”
Now the noise truly rose. Students began turning in their seats, whispering names, already planning.
Selene stepped forward slightly.
“However,” she said firmly, “you will only be permitted to descend to the first fifteen floors of the dungeon. Under no circumstances are you to go lower than that.”
Her gaze sharpened.
“Anyone who violates that rule will face immediate disciplinary action.”
Eveline nodded in agreement.
“The first fifteen floors are considered manageable for your current level,” she added. “Do not overestimate yourselves.”
George let the warning settle before continuing.
“Starting tomorrow, you will be free to enter and exit the city as you please for dungeon runs.”
He paused for effect.
“And classes are no longer compulsory for the remainder of the year.”
For a split second, there was silence.
Then the classroom exploded.
Students cheered. Some even stood up in excitement. The idea of no mandatory classes combined with authorized dungeon access was more freedom than they had expected.
Aria lifted her head from Elion’s chest, eyes bright.
“No more compulsory classes?” she whispered excitedly.
Mira’s lips curved faintly. “Now that is interesting.”
Elion leaned back in his chair, watching the room with calm eyes.
He was excited.
These new arrangements gave him freedom. Real freedom. No compulsory classes meant he could move as he pleased, enter and leave the city, and more importantly, visit the two succubi at ’his’ manor whenever he wanted.
He smiled faintly to himself.
He was now even more determined to accumulate more system points.
Which was ironic.
The more he had, the more he wanted.
It really was a cycle. Like wealth in the real world. Once you had a taste of it, you never felt it was enough.
Which reminds me… I still have to search the store for items in the system store.
His eyes flickered slightly as he thought about it. Maybe there were useful items he could buy. Something to strengthen his girls. Or something that could make future dungeon runs smoother.
Maybe even some enchanted accessories for the girls.
“By the way,” Mira suddenly began.
Her tone snapped him out of his thoughts.
“We might have a bit of a problem.”
She paused, then corrected herself.
“Not so much a problem. More like… an annoyance.”
Elion raised a brow.
“Oh?”
Mira crossed her legs elegantly and rested her chin lightly on her hand.
“My parents would like to meet Lord Husband,” she said dramatically. “To see if he is ’worthy’ of my poor self.” She sighed as if the idea itself was absurd.
“Can you believe it?” To her, it truly was ridiculous.
Aria spoke up immediately after. “My father wants to meet you as well.”
She snorted softly. “He’s a grumpy old man. So if you don’t want to see him, you don’t have to.”
Elion blinked. “Oh? You two told your parents about me?”
“Well… not exactly,” both of them said at the same time.
The synchronized answer made him chuckle.
“No matter,” Elion said calmly.
He stretched slightly in his seat.
“I don’t mind going to see both pairs of my future in-laws.”
He smiled lightly.
Mira sat quietly after that, but inside, her thoughts were already racing ahead.
She was already imagining the moment Elion would stand in front of her parents.
Especially her father.
Gale was not an easy man to impress. He measured people by status, influence, and visible strength. He had built his empire from nothing, and he trusted very few.
But for some reason, Mira did not feel nervous.
In fact, she almost felt excited.
She couldn’t imagine Elion taking a loss.
Not in a fight, not in a conversation, and not in front of her father.
Every time she thought about him being questioned, judged, or even tested, the outcome in her mind was always the same. Elion standing calm, unfazed, and slowly turning the situation in his favor.
Her faith in him was almost absolute.
It wasn’t blind love. And it definitely wasn’t naive hope.
It was based on everything she had seen so far.
His growth. His composure. The way he never panicked, even in situations that should have shaken him.
If anything, she almost pitied her father.
She could already picture Gale trying to pressure him, only to realize he was dealing with someone far more dangerous than he looked.
A faint smile appeared on Mira’s lips.
Yes.
This would be interesting.
