Harem System In A fantasy World - Chapter 171: An Elaborate Setup

Chapter 171: An Elaborate Setup
“That’s him. He did this to us.”
The muffled sobs of three girls echoed through the wide corridor of the academy’s open base floor.
Students had gathered quickly, forming a loose circle around the scene. Whispers spread like wildfire as more and more people stopped to watch.
Elion stood lightly at the front of the crowd with his hands in his pockets. His brows were slightly raised, but his expression remained mostly calm despite the gravity of the situation he was in.
Three familiar girls were huddled together on the floor. Their uniforms were messy, wrinkled, and torn in some places. Their hair was disheveled. There were bruises on their arms and small cuts along their legs. They looked shaken and distressed.
Eveline knelt beside them, gently patting their backs.
“It’s okay,” she said softly. “Take your time.”
Liora stood a few steps away, wearing her DC badge. She must have been called to supervise the situation. Her expression was mildly serious, though her eyes flicked toward Elion briefly as she couldn’t believe her own eyes.
Elion’s gaze shifted calmly around the scene, looking at the group of his peers. He spotted Mira and Tessa looking at him with a bit of worry on their faces.
He looked around a bit more, and then he spotted who he was looking for. William was standing in the crowd.
Beside him were Jared and a few others. They were not openly laughing, but their smirks and snickers were not well hidden either.
’So that’s how it is.’
It took Elion less than a second to understand.
“He… he…” Kaia choked out between sobs as she continued.
“It’s okay,” Selene said gently, rubbing her back. “You don’t have to force yourself if you don’t want to.”
“No!” Kaia suddenly cried out, her voice breaking. “I want to say it! I want everyone to know what sort of disgusting beast he is!”
Her scream echoed sharply as the corridor only became quieter. The crowd stilled, and everyone waited with bated breath.
Elion did not move.
He had walked into this scene just moments ago after entering the academy for the day. At first, he had not understood what was happening. But now the pieces were falling into place.
The same three girls from yesterday were in front of him. The apparent cuts and bruises.
William’s expression.
’That sneaky bastard.’
It was obvious what was happening.
This was a setup.
An elaborate one.
Elion let out a slow breath through his nose, staying calm and still composed.
If William thought this would shake him, then he truly did not understand him at all.
Kaia wiped at her tears, trying to steady her breathing.
The corridor had gone almost completely silent.
People were staring at Elion now. Some with shock, some with anger, and some with open disgust. A few were still unsure what to make of this, but the mood was shifting quickly as they quickly understood the gist of the situation.
“Me…Me and my friends were just finishing our training when we ran into Elion,” Kaia said loudly, her voice shaking. “He was also just leaving the room next to ours.”
A few students glanced at each other.
“He approached us with that charming smile of his,” she continued.
Several girls in the crowd shifted awkwardly. A few even nodded unconsciously, as if to say that part was believable.
“He told us we all looked beautiful… even though we were… a bit sweaty.”
Eryn and Ymir sobbed beside her, nodding along.
“And then… he asked to accompany us for a short while afterward.”
Kaia sniffed loudly.
“We… we reluctantly agreed. We couldn’t say no to someone as strong as him.”
More murmurs spread through the corridor.
“We were just going to my room, so we continued there,” she continued. “I thought he would leave after walking us there.”
Her voice cracked.
“Ymir told him we would be fine from here and thanked him. B-but he forced his way in.”
The crowd stiffened, hanging on her every word.
“He was too strong for the three of us. He closed the door as soon as he made it in…”
She began shaking harder.
“And then… he asked us to strip all our clothes off…”
Her words dissolved into sobbing. She buried her face into Eveline’s shoulder, crying loudly.
Eveline’s face hardened. Her glare turned toward Elion with clear fury.
“It’s okay,” Eveline began softly.
“N-no,” Kaia gasped. “Let me finish… please…”
She pulled herself upright again, tears streaking down her face.
“After that… what happened… he was cruel!”
Her voice dropped to a whisper.
“He touched us all over, and then he asked us to suck on his thing. And then he raped us. And he beat us while doing so.” The words hung in the air like a blade waiting to drop. Then she broke down completely, bawling loudly.
Gasps spread through the crowd.
“BASTARD!”
“I knew he was no good!”
A few students looked like they were ready to lunge at Elion and smash his face in.
William, standing further back, looked almost infuriated on the surface. But the faint satisfaction in his eyes was impossible to miss.
Elion had been listening quietly up to now. But he couldn’t hold it in anymore. It was just too funny. This whole situation. He laughed lightly.
“Hah…” It wasn’t a loud or mocking laugh. But, just a small breath of amusement that escaped his lips.
The sound cut sharply through the silence. Several heads snapped toward him. Eveline stood up slowly, her face dark with fury.
“Do you think this is funny!?” she demanded.
Her voice was cold. It was clear she was about to crash out if he didn’t give her a satisfactory answer.
Elion slowly raised his hands in mock surrender.
“I’m sorry, professor,” he said calmly. “That was rude of me. I really tried not to laugh, honest.”
A faint smile appeared on his face. “But it was difficult not to.”
Eveline’s eyes darkened further.
Elion’s gaze shifted back to Kaia, who was trembling in Eveline’s arms.
He began walking toward them.
“Don’t get any closer,” Eveline warned sharply as she stepped forward to shield the three girls.
Elion stopped at once.
“Okay,” he said easily.
He lowered his hands but kept his tone relaxed.
“Let me just ask her something.”
His eyes remained fixed on Kaia.
“Kaia,” he said calmly. “So I approached you. Followed you to your room. Forced my way in.”
He spoke slowly, clearly.
“I asked all three of you to strip. Then I raped you.”
He tilted his head slightly.
“Yesterday.” Well, they did suck him off, and then he gave them the best orgasms of their lives, but that was just about all they did.
Kaia glared at him through tears.
If he had to admit it, her acting was impressive. If he were in the crowd, he had no doubt that he would also be taking her side right now, maybe also cursing himself in their defence.
“Do I have that right?” Elion asked lightly.
Her trembling intensified. Her breathing grew uneven.
She looked like she was about to have a mental breakdown.
Before she could react further, Eveline stepped more firmly between them, blocking Elion completely from her view.
“That’s enough,” Eveline said coldly.
Elion did not stop despite her warning.
“While all this was happening,” he said calmly, “you made no attempt to call for help?”
The corridor stayed silent.
“Excuse me for stating the obvious,” he continued, “but the dorm walls are paper-thin. Anyone in the corridor would have heard you scream from miles away.”
The three girls stiffened. It was subtle, but noticeable if one looked close enough.
“Besides,” he added, “where’s your proof?”
A ripple moved through the crowd.
“If anyone can walk around accusing someone of crimes they didn’t commit,” Elion said evenly, “wouldn’t that be a bit… convenient?”
His eyes lifted, and they settled directly on William for a brief moment.
William’s expression looked a bit uneasy.
Kaia began rocking back and forth, like she was losing control of her mind. Her breathing grew more and more uneven, her hands clutching at her sleeves tightly.
Her act was very convincing.
But to Elion, it was just that.
An act.
“How dare you!” Eveline snapped.
Her anger flared instantly.
“Asking for proof in a situation like this?”
“Why not?” Elion replied without missing a beat. “Tell me, professor, why the hell not?”
His voice was steady.
“I’m sure one look from Nurse Beatrice would be more than enough to determine whether I fucked these girls… and damaged their goods or not.”
The words hung in the air.
Several students gasped.
Eveline stiffened.
He had made a good point.
She wanted to be outraged at the suggestion. She wanted to scold him for speaking so bluntly and even suggesting something like that.
But Beatrice was a woman. She could examine the three girls privately. There would be no embarrassment beyond what had already happened.
And if Elion was really guilty…
He would never suggest that.
Eveline’s anger faltered slightly.
Her mind began to turn.
Why would he push for an examination if he had done what they claimed?
She looked down at Kaia again.
The girl was still trembling.
But now that Eveline looked closer, she noticed something else.
Fear.
Not just distress.
Actual fear.
And it was even more obvious on Ymir and Ceryn. Their eyes were wide, darting around, not just in pain, but in panic.
Eveline’s thoughts shifted.
Is he being framed?
It was possible.
Very possible.
But why?
Her gaze slowly lifted.
