Harem System In A fantasy World - Chapter 172: Frame

Chapter 172: Frame
Liora had been quiet the whole time; now she stepped forward slightly.
“Professor,” she said calmly, “Elion makes a good point.” All eyes turned toward her.
“If we want the truth quickly and avoid wasting everyone’s time,” she continued, “then an examination by Nurse Beatrice is the best course of action.”
Her voice was steady and professional, so unlike her usual personality. Eveline’s beautiful features shifted into a thoughtful expression.
She looked at the three trembling girls. Then at Elion. After a few seconds, she nodded.
“You’re right,” she said slowly.
She turned toward the crowd.
“Everyone, disperse. This matter will be handled privately.”
A wave of groans rose immediately.
Clearly, many students had been very invested in the drama. They wanted spectacle. They wanted a public downfall.
But slowly, the crowd began to thin. Elion smiled inwardly. He looked back toward William. The guy looked a tad bit pale now.
Elion’s gaze sharpened.
Without anyone noticing, he released a small, concealed wave of killing intent toward William.
William suddenly stumbled backward as if something invisible had struck him. He fell onto his backside.
A few students nearby jumped in surprise.
William looked up in terror. His eyes met Elion’s. Elion was smiling calmly in amusement. The people around William looked at him strangely, unsure what had just happened.
Jared quickly moved to help him up.
William’s face flushed red with embarrassment as he brushed off his uniform. He glared at Elion with clear hatred.
Elion only chuckled lightly.
“Stay close, Elion,” Eveline said calmly while looking back at him.
Elion turned back toward her.
She was no longer hovering protectively over the three girls. There was a small distance between them now. It was blaringly obvious what she was doing here.
She was keeping her options open just in case it turned out that Elion was being falsely accused.
’How predictable,’ Elion thought with a smile.
It made no difference to him what she believed. He did not care for her approval, or anyone else’s, for that matter.
Just then, Mira pushed her way through the thinning crowd. She stopped close to him, her eyes scanning his face quickly.
Before she could speak, he shook his head slightly. “Don’t worry. Everything’s fine.”
She searched his eyes for a moment. Then she nodded with a small smile. Her trust in him was absolute.
She had never doubted him. She had been worried, yes.
But she never once believed he would stoop so low as to rape the three girls. Which was ironic, in a way, considering how their first night together had gone.
But she knew him. If he ever needed relief that badly, he would come to her or Aria. He would never do something like that behind their backs.
She stepped aside calmly as Eveline motioned for Elion to follow.
Just as they were about to leave, William suddenly stepped forward.
“Professor Eveline,” he said calmly, though his voice was slightly tight, “I would like to accompany you as well. As an additional witness.”
Eveline’s eyes sharpened. So did Liora’s.
They both looked at William carefully. Then their gazes shifted to Elion, who was now frowning slightly.
No one immediately objected. After a short pause, Eveline nodded.
“Fine,” she said. “You may come.”
Elion’s frown deepened slightly. Why would he want to come along?
’Unless…’
A thought flashed through his mind.
’No.’
Let me not jump to conclusions, he told himself.
I’ll wait and see.
Before they could move, Mira stepped forward. “If he’s allowed,” she said calmly, “then I’d like to come too.”
Her voice was steady. Eveline studied her for a moment. After another pause, she nodded again.
“You may.” And so the group began walking.
Eveline led the way, with the three girls walking close behind her. Liora stayed nearby, observant and silent.
Elion walked calmly, hands in his pockets. William followed, a few steps behind, his face unreadable. Mira stayed close to Elion’s side.
They moved through the academy corridors quietly.
They reached the infirmary quickly.
It was not far from where they were on the base floor, and the walk there was tense but silent.
The corridor outside Nurse Beatrice’s office was well-lit and clean. Eveline knocked once before pushing the door open.
“Hello there evereyone,” Beatrice greeted with a light smile when she noticed the entourage coming in.
Beatrice looked up from her desk, her usual calm smile fading slightly when she saw the serious expressions on their faces.
“What happened?” she asked.
Eveline explained briefly.
Beatrice’s eyes widened just a little, and she glanced at Elion. For a second, her expression was unreadable. Then, very subtly, she gave him a small wink.
It was quick. Almost impossible to catch. After that, she stood up.
“I will examine the girls privately,” she said firmly. “The ladies can wait inside, guys, please wait outside.”
Elion and William stepped out into the corridor together. The door closed behind them with a soft click.
Now it was just the two of them outside. Elion slipped his hands into his pockets again. He turned his head slightly toward William with a carefree, but threatening smile.
“So,” he said lightly, “this is your grand plan? Humiliate me in front of the academy?”
William smirked.
“I have no idea what you’re talking about,” he replied smoothly.
Elion chuckled softly. “You’re spineless.”
William’s smirk twitched.
Elion stepped a little closer.
“One of these days,” he said calmly, “I’m going to kill you.”
Elion’s eyes sharpened as William’s own trembled in shock. The temperature in the corridor seemed to drop.
William stumbled back slightly, caught off guard by the sudden intensity Elion was showing.
His heel caught against the wall, and he awkwardly lost balance for a moment before steadying himself.
A couple of passing students glanced at him strangely.
“You bastard!” William hissed under his breath. “You’ll pay for this!”
His face was red again, half from anger, half from embarrassment.
“You’re a nobody,” William continued, trying to regain control. “You think you have the right to act all high and mighty just because you got lucky? You’re only a little stronger than me right now.”
Elion interrupted him. He took another slow step forward.
“Not a little stronger,” he said quietly.
He stopped directly in front of William. Now he was towering over him.
“Much stronger.”
His voice was calm with certainty. William felt it.
The difference in presence. The difference in confidence. The difference in power. It was hard to ignore.
Elion looked down at him with steady eyes.
There was rage in those eyes. Controlled rage, and it made William feel small and insignificant.
Before William could reply, the infirmary door opened. Eveline stepped out calmly.
“You can come back in,” she said.
Beatrice was finished.
…
Everyone sat down on the small beds inside the infirmary.
The room felt tight.
Eveline stood near the center. Liora leaned against the wall quietly. Mira stood close to Elion, her arms folded. William stood a few steps away, trying to look calm.
The three girls sat together on one of the beds. Their faces were pale and rigid now. Beatrice cleared her throat as she began.
“There was recent penetration,” she said carefully. “Which means they have had sex with someone recently.”
William’s lips curved into a small, triumphant smile.
Elion frowned.
This was not how he imagined this going.
A thought hit him hard.
Had William gone and finished things off himself after he left the three girls unconscious yesterday?
Probably.
If he had…
Then things were more complicated than he thought. But he still stayed calm and waited for Beatrice, who looked like she had more to say.
If William had been calmer, he would have noticed something important.
Ymir, Kaia, and Ceryn did not look relieved. They looked uneasy. Very uneasy. So it was clear that perhaps, there was more to be said; Beatrice was not finished.
“And,” she continued, “whatever went in… is too small to be, ahem… Elion’s thing.”
The room went still. Everyone’s eyes narrowed as they seemed to all understand something.
“How would you know?” Eveline asked sharply.
Beatrice coughed lightly. “Elion once came here with… uh… genital problems,” she said awkwardly. “So I am familiar with his size. He is quite…Big, bigger than any I’ve seen.”
It was even more funny because five of the seven women in this had firsthand experience with the length and girth of his cock.
Elion facepalmed.
“Son of a…” he muttered under his breath.
They all stared at him strangely. Beatrice quickly moved on, eager to move away from the topic.
“The point is,” she said firmly, “either someone else assaulted them, or they colluded this whole incident with someone, and they staged this whole thing with them… or it was not a person at all.”
She cleared her throat again.
“It is possible they used… toys… to try and simulate the effect of penetration.”
“Haha.” She gave a stiff, awkward laugh.
No one laughed with her. Everyone in the room suddenly found the floor very interesting. No one made eye contact.
“So yes,” Beatrice finished calmly, “they most likely attempted to frame Elion.”
A sharp silence followed.
Slowly, everyone’s attention shifted toward the three girls. Ymir’s breathing became uneven. Ceryn looked like she might faint. Kaia looked like she wanted to run.
