- Chapter 232 - 232: Calista Makes Her Move!

Calista had no idea Ella wasn’t oblivious to her lies but Ella didn’t understand the point of the lie.
She had her doubts and hoped that this meeting would help her clear things up.
It had to but Kyle was the main thing that connected all of them.
They had a good time and the food was delicious, nothing was stopping them from having a good time.
“This is so much fun!” Calista exclaimed and the other two ladies with her shared the same feeling.
Jane was relatively quiet, she felt like a third wheel but Ella was just as loud as Calista.
Calista had an aura that drew people in or could it be her looks were responsible for this?
That was a possibility but Jane wasn’t going to speak unless spoken to.
“We should definitely do this again!” Ella responded and Jane suspected that these two might have had a little too much to drink.
“Should I stop them?” Jane thought to herself but she was hesitant as she didn’t know how either would take it.
She looked over her shoulder to see if she could call for help but she was on her own.
“So Jane… Tell me about yourself!” Calista asked her out of the blue and this question caught her off guard.
“A-About me?” Jane repeated, surprised that Calista was taking an interest in her life but considering what Ella had warned her about.
“Yess~ Any boyfriend, any family?” Calista questioned, slurring her words and Jane knew this might be a chance for her to know what she wanted.
But she didn’t know how to go about it, this wasn’t her forte.
“Well… I have a boyfriend…” Jane said sheepishly but Ella was observing Calista secretly.
She wasn’t as drunk as she was letting on but this was a way to get Calista to lower her guard and go right for Jane.
“Oh my! Is he rich or handsome?” Calista asked, this felt like a typical conversation between ladies.
“He is both!” Jane exclaimed, momentarily forgetting her task because an opportunity to talk about Kyle had presented itself, and she wanted to show him off.
“Tell me his name! Maybe I know him!” Calista urged but this was what Ella found strange.
Why was she pretending not to know Kyle despite her research confirming that she did know him?
But Ella kept quiet and realized Calista wasn’t as wasted as she thought.
However, Calista thought the same about Ella and that was why she made a move on Jane.
“H-His name is Kyle…” Jane responded and Ella couldn’t believe how easy it was to get information from her friend.
She had thrown their plan out the window and was now gushing about Kyle shamelessly like she was willing to tell anyone who would give her a listening ear.
“Damn it, Jane!” Ella thought to herself.
“Kyle… You mean the owner of the nightclub?” Calista asked but there was something wrong with this information because this was the first time Jane was hearing about this.
“Owner?” Jane asked with a nervous smile.
“Shit!” Ella thought to herself because she expected Kyle to have told her by now but the fact that he kept this information to himself until now bothered her.
“I think you might have the wrong one. The Kyle I know owns the JPD Agency,” Jane responded with a tinge of nervous laughter.
And that was when Calista’s face changed into shock but this didn’t go unnoticed by Ella.
“She didn’t know?” Ella thought to herself even though Calista tried her best to hide it.
“I must be wrong then,” Calista said but her playful tone was hatched down a bit and none of this made any sense to Ella.
If she didn’t know that Kyle owned it, why the hell was Kyle with her in the first place?
Why was she so interested in him and this brought about the all-important question, what was their relationship?
–
Kyle was with Jasmine in the apartment, she had taken a shower and gone to bed.
She looked so peaceful and Kyle wondered what she had gone through in her life but whatever life awaited her on the street.
Kyle wasn’t going to let it come to pass and knew he had to take preventive measures to stop this from happening.
He went out in the meantime to get Jasmine some clothes, he couldn’t let her stay in those filthy clothes, especially after showering so Kyle had her wear the towel like an overgrown dress.
He returned shortly after but had something for her to eat when she woke up already prepared.
Kyle had no idea what to make for her but thankfully, his system filled in that role as all he had to do was search the internet and retain all the information regarding nutritional meals for kids.
Jasmine was extremely malnourished, it was a miracle she wasn’t dead in the first place.
Kyle walked towards his apartment but ran into Aiysha in the hallway, he wasn’t a fan of this and knew this was only temporary.
He tried to walk past her without saying a word but Aiysha knew she needed to apologize.
She had a role to play in all of this and it wasn’t all on Kyle because she could have stopped it at any moment.
The fact that she walked in on him naked for whatever reason, Kyle knew whoever told Jones would hold the power of trust.
This was why it didn’t cross his mind to inform Jones about the situations he had found himself in but lost a little respect when he realized that Jones wasn’t the man he had made him up to be in his mind.
He broke that image the moment Jones told him he had cheated on Aiysha and the conditions for him being unfaithful.
Kyle watched Jasmine and knew he didn’t have it in him to take care of her but accepted that this might be beyond him.
However, the possibility that Cassandra could take on this responsibility was low because she had her son and was currently fighting for custody.
And Kyle couldn’t return her to her brother, not yet.
