Harem System: Spending Money On Women For 100% Rebate! - Chapter 317 - 317: Recap?

Kyle was done with his meeting with Alfredo and noticed Alfredo wasn’t as oblivious as he thought, but Alfredo kept the attack away from Kyle.
But Kyle also kept meeting with Cleopatra under wraps because if he revealed this information, it would give Alfredo the power to misinterpret it.
Kyle trusted no one because he wasn’t here to make friends to begin with, but he had begun to make strong moves against the Mafia.
He knew how drugs ruined his childhood and the life of his mother—it ruined his family.
He wasn’t about to be the facilitator for something this depraved to spread and plunge the world into even more misery.
He took Jasmine off the road for this very reason, but saving one person would make no difference.
Kyle stayed in the restaurant longer to have his fill; he wasn’t in any hurry to leave the place as he had to make a couple of calls.
He knew Alfredo was smart enough to make sure he wasn’t followed, so he didn’t need to worry about that, even though he now knew who was watching him.
It was Cleopatra, and Kyle knew she needed him more than he needed her.
There were so many ways he could exploit this relationship, and Kyle knew there was no way to avoid this at the end of the day because Ella belonged to the same family as Cleopatra.
It would only be a matter of time before they used Ella to reach Cleopatra, but come to think of it, there were no ways to connect the two.
Ever since Ella was shunned by her family, every link connecting her to them was severed.
Either way, these were thoughts Kyle knew he didn’t have the luxury to doubt right now.
He had a much bigger plan, and once again, if he truly wished to conquer Hollywood, there was no doubt he would need to tame the dark world beneath it because Kyle was aware that not everything was as it seemed.
Actors, actresses, and artists have all been caught in controversial situations that were far from legal or even had backing from some of the more renowned criminals in the world.
It was no secret you couldn’t separate the two worlds, and Kyle was about to take it by the horns.
Nakamura was proof that, right from the start, he caught the attention of the wrong people, and finding out his family belonged to the Yakuza was something he could never have guessed.
There were multiple routes in front of him right now that he could take, but he knew one evil would always replace the other.
There was no escaping that aspect, as evil could never be extinguished, and this was why he was sure he couldn’t topple the underworld alone.
He needed allies, and there was no doubt Marcello was about to make moves that would not only grant him more power, but also increase his influence.
So if he did manage to take his life as Cleopatra suggested, Kyle knew he needed to have one or more of the families on his side to increase the probability of success.
But to do that, he needed to establish contact with them, and that person would be promised Marcello’s position.
Another possibility was setting up Priscilla for yet another big arrest, but this would inadvertently put a target on her back, as there was no way there wouldn’t be any retaliation.
But once again, having a person within the Mafia who he could turn could prove invaluable.
Kyle trusted Priscilla’s capabilities, but this might be a grade above it because the case with the judge involved him heavily to increase the success rate.
Kyle took a sip from the beverage in front of him, but this was one of the things bothering him.
However, the movie waiting to be unveiled in numerous cinemas around the world was very important.
Kyle knew he could put a 50% deduction in those cinemas and cover up the losses with money straight out of his pocket.
However, he knew this would be unorthodox and undermine the overall success of the movie.
The same way Disney was once rumoured to buy out a cinema due to poor showing—this gave the illusion of success, and Kyle didn’t want that kind of stigma.
He already had plans to cast Calista in a movie, and their personal relationship wouldn’t impact this, as she had become the face of the agency whether he liked it or not.
Kyle knew the rumours were flying around, but even though he didn’t trust Calista, he had already seen the man the rumour was about.
They didn’t have that dynamic, or he would have sensed it; the fact she didn’t bother hiding him from him gave her credibility.
Calista wasn’t an ugly girl, and there was no doubt her beauty had exposed her to men far more attractive than him, but her body count showed she didn’t just jump into bed with anyone.
Kyle knew this was a paparazzi stunt, but there was no harm in associating Calista with Lorenzo because it would take her out of the line of fire.
He noticed he had received a message from her, but Calista was having the time of her life, so there was no need for their relationship to limit that.
[[Calista Wave, don’t worry about anything… I understand everything. Of course, Lorenzo can’t match my charisma, but I need you to run with it for now. It will all make sense, trust me.]]
Kyle reassured her through a text message after seeing she had sent two messages and one more, which she deleted.
He understood why she would be worried, because Kyle had rules in place, but he needed her to be reassured as this wouldn’t be what would put a wedge in their relationship.
Kyle saw it had been a while since she had sent the message, but this didn’t stop her from responding right away.
She sent an attachment with a thumbs-up and the biggest smile on her face.
