“Uu…” The little girl was speechless. That was exactly what had happened.

“But… but… it’s your fault!” the little girl tried to argue back.

The two played with each other for a while before little Ningning’s stomach started to growl, and they finally stopped.

Wei Chen looked at the little girl’s pleading eyes and let out a sigh.

“You haven’t eaten yet? I’ll make something for you then,” he said before heading to the kitchen.

“Chenchen is the best!” little Ningning said joyfully as she waited in the lounge with anticipation.

Then she noticed the red husky, Max, walking into the lounge. She immediately jumped onto him, riding him like a horse. The husky wore a blank expression and simply lay down, ignoring the little human on his back.

In truth, he had just returned from the kitchen after clearing out all the poorly made and erroneous food prepared by the trainees. Now he felt a bit full. Even though the food was not as good as what his personal cook made, the ease of getting it was very addictive.

There was no need to hunt, no need to stalk prey for days, no risk of the prey being bait or in disguise, and no need to stake his life on every meal.

This place truly felt like paradise.
