Chapter 283: New suspect
JASMINE’S POV
’Which location?’ I read Louis text asking where to pick me up from when I eventually . With Keith not allowing me to go with him.
’Outside my house.’ I replied.
I wrote down and formulated all my messages to him on a paper. It took a lot of effort to formulate the messages since I had to consider what I wanted to tell Louis whilst replying with a mundane message that get past Keith. Felt like I was working through a complicated calculus problem. I would have to burn the papers later I said to myself. Preferably before Keith arrived home.
I put my phone down on the table in my seating area. It was now around midmorning and Keith had already left for the day.
I had been working all morning as traced on a map where Edward could have taken Tony.
Louis had shared with me that he had made a lot of progress he had made in tracking the van that Edward had taken Tony in. Keith and his men had made progress in tracking the truck that Diana and the former Acland estate servants had escaped in. He had found out they had switched vehicles but had yet to
This is exactly why I had asked Keith to allow Louis to help us in finding Tony. At first I thought it was because he was a proud idiot who didn’t want to ask for help. However, now I was aware of the actual reason.

In the afternoon I had lunch and I paid a visit to the fireplace in the sitting room and burning the notes I had of my communication with Louis. Afterwards, I took a small break in the afternoon to clear my thoughts. That involved me walking around the estate once more and collecting more data on the estate. In particular I studied the guards. As I made my rounds acting like I was taking a casual stroll my phone in my trouser began to rang.
I took it out and saw it was Carol from Kensington city who was calling me.
My eyebrows curiously sprung up.
“Hello?” I answered as I walked deeper into the large gardens.
“Uh hello dear, Jasmine right?” She asked.
“Yes, it is,” I confirmed.
“The last time you called me you said if there was anything I remembered no matter how small I could share it with you your sister,” she said.
My eyebrows perked up with interest.
“Yes, is there something that’s come up or that you’ve remembered?” I asked.
“It’s really small and I’m not even sure if I remember correctly after more than 2 years since I last saw them. However, after giving it some thought for a while I’ve been thinking perhaps I can
“Please do go on. Even if it’s a small detail it might just help,” I encouraged her. I had nothing to work with right now.
“Alright, well. I recalled something strange about your sister-in-law’s son. On the few occasions that I would bump into them there was once a time when I noticed something strange about his eyes,” she started.
“I know this might sound crazy but I recall there was a time his eyes were a different color.”
“Different color?” I asked in confusion.
As I said I know it’s confusing however, I could have sworn I saw his eyes gold once
“His eyes were typically blue, correct?” I asked her trying to understand.
“Yes, I thought they were always blue,”
“What do you mean?”
“As I mentioned before I rarely saw the pair and when I did, it was only for a second before your sister shut herself and the boy in her apartment or were leaving. When he was a baby it’s either he was asleep so I never saw his eyes. However, as he grew older and walked around I conformed hi eyes were blue. I recall there was a time I noted his hair and eye color was a gold- slight brown color.”
“I see,” I responded. “And you only saw him with this eye color once?”
“Yes, and thats why I’m not sure if I saw correctly.”
Golden or brown eyes, I jotted down in my mind so I could look into it later.
“Now I remind you and I don’t even know if this will help you find her but I just hoped it might do something,” she explained.
“That’s fine Carol. You’ve just helped me more than you realised. Thank you so much,” I expressed my gratitude.
“Oh that’s great to hear darling I hope you find her. You’re really worried after all,” she told me.
We then exchanged our goodbyes and I ended the call. I put my phone away as I contemplated what she’d just told me.
Brown/ gold eyes…
I returned to the mansion and to look at my files in my room once again. I looked all the file papers laid out.
Did that mean that Marco wore contacts? This would match up with what Tony had told me about Marco’s eyes turning red after falling in water.
I then took out Edwards profile again. Edward did’t have golden brown eyes. If Carol’s memory was right that meant Edward wasn’t Marco’s father.
This changed everything. That would mean either Marco was adopted or another individual might be involved. And of the latter was true it would explain why Keith and police weren’t making progress with Edward.
Keith and the police were digging deep into Edward trying to find any information that would lead them to Tony.
It would also explain why Edward was so confident, that we wouldn’t find Tony. Because he didn’t have Tony.
So was there anyone with golden/ brown eyes I knew.
The first person that came to mind was Louis who was the only person I knew who had golden eyes. Obviously it wasn’t him, he would have been underage at the time Marco was born and certainly wouldn’t have met Diana at the time. Besides his eyes were golden- yellow colour, which would look different from a golden, brown colour.
