I Became the Rich Second-Generation Villain - Chapter 371: Another Campus Belle

Chapter 371: Another Campus Belle
The moment Yu Shiqing smiled, chaos quietly unfurled around her.
A boy walking by forgot to watch where he was going and slammed headfirst into a wall.
Another, drinking water, spaced out so completely he forgot to swallow—water streamed messily down his chin, making for a hilariously awkward sight.
One more stared unblinkingly at Yu Shiqing, so entranced that even when his girlfriend yanked his ear in a jealous fury, he showed no reaction, still locked on that face like he’d glimpsed a goddess.
And among this gallery of love-struck fools,
Wang Haoran stood out for one reason, as he only froze for a few seconds. Compared to the rest, his self-control was practically inhuman.
Today marked the third day since Yu Shiqing began using the medicine.
She called him and asked him to come to the barbecue restaurant, but didn’t say why. Still, Wang Haoran had a hunch. He suspected that the birthmark on her face had completely faded, and she wanted him to see the results with his own eyes.
Even with mental preparation, what greeted him when he arrived still stunned him.
Yu Shiqing, without the blemish that had once marred her face, was more beautiful than he ever could have imagined. Of all the female leads he met so far, only Feng Xuansu could compare.
“You’ve been staring for this long and still don’t recognize me?” Yu Shiqing teased shyly.
Her heart fluttered with joy under his heated gaze, though her cheeks burned with embarrassment, and she had to speak just to ease her tension.
“Looks like Qingling University just gained another campus belle,” Wang Haoran joked, grinning as he inwardly marveled at how effective Lu Chen’s Divine Doctor skills had proven to be.
The grotesque birthmark that once stretched across Yu Shiqing’s cheek was gone without a trace. Her skin was now fair and soft, smooth to the point that it seemed like the slightest touch could leave a mark.
She was perfectly flawless.
Yu Shiqing wanted to talk longer with him, but with people nearby, she hesitated. Turning to her mother, she asked softly, “Mom… is it okay if I step out for a bit?”
“You two go ahead. I’m fine here.” Her mother smiled and waved them off like she was rushing them along.
Her daughter had blossomed into such a beauty, and as a mother, how could she not be delighted? She looked at Wang Haoran with warmth and approval, not even the slightest trace of resistance.
After all, when her daughter still bore that hideous birthmark, Wang Haoran treated her kindly and never mocked her. Now that her daughter had become so beautiful, she was even more certain he would continue to treat her well.
Besides, she already knew from Yu Shiqing that the disappearance of that disfiguring mark was largely thanks to Wang Haoran.
With her mother’s enthusiastic blessing, Yu Shiqing beamed and happily followed Wang Haoran for a quiet stroll nearby.
“I transferred the money for the medicine,” she said, pulling out her phone and sending over the cost of the herbs he’d fronted for her.
Wang Haoran didn’t accept the payment right away. Instead, he smiled, a little mischievously, and asked, “What about interest?”
Yu Shiqing blinked, caught off guard. She hadn’t expected that. But since he’d brought it up, she played along.
“How much interest do you want?”
“I don’t want money,” Wang Haoran said, eyes locking onto hers with a meaning that made her breath catch. “What I want… is you.”
She stared at him, stunned. Her wide, watery eyes slowly widened further as a soft blush crept up her cheeks.
【Ding! Host has stirred the heart of female lead Yu Shiqing. Gained 600 Villain Points!】
They stood silently for a moment, eyes meeting.
Yu Shiqing was the first to look away, heart pounding like a drum. “You… you’re joking, right?”
Her voice trembled. Nervous. But beneath the nerves, there was something else.
Hope.
If he was joking, she feared her heart might break. But if he wasn’t…
“If you want it to be a joke, then it’s a joke,” Wang Haoran said casually, as though tossing the choice back to her.
Yu Shiqing’s heart skipped. “So what you’re saying is… if I want it to be real, then it can be real?”
The words came out bolder than she expected, but the look in her eyes betrayed her excitement.
Wang Haoran grinned and reached out his hand.
Yu Shiqing broke into a radiant smile, slipped her fingers into his, and let them entwine. A soft curve lifted the corners of her lips, pink and delicate.
—
At that same moment, Gu Yurou burst out of the Beige Media building, panting hard, every breath catching painfully in her throat.
Her legs were trembling, and she had to lean against the outer wall just to keep from collapsing.
After escaping from the president’s office, she’d run straight to the elevators—but the display showed the car was still stuck on the first floor.
Afraid Lu Beige might catch up before it arrived, she had no choice but to flee down the stairs.
From the 39th floor… all the way to the 1st.
Her lungs burned. Her legs were jelly. It was a miracle she hadn’t passed out.
As she stood trying to catch her breath, a car parked near the curb suddenly opened.
A woman stepped out.
Gu Yurou instinctively tensed, thinking Yu Fei had come to pick another fight.
But to her surprise, the actress approached with a friendly smile.
“Sorry about earlier. I was in a bad mood,” Yu Fei said, her tone surprisingly gentle. She took out a signed name card and handed it over. “If you still want my autograph, I’d be happy if you accepted this.”
“Of course! Thank you.” Gu Yurou, seeing her sincerity, smiled politely and took the card with both hands.
“What’s your name?” Yu Fei asked out of the blue.
“Gu Yurou.”
“Still in school? Or already working?”
“I’m a sophomore at Qingling University, studying Language and Literature.” Gu Yurou thought it was just small talk and answered honestly.
“Language and Literature, huh? That’s a good major,” Yu Fei praised lightly.
“It’s okay,” Gu Yurou replied with a modest smile. Her breathing had finally steadied, and remembering her situation, she quickly added, “Sorry, I have something to do. I’ll be going now.”
Not wanting to risk Lu Beige catching up, she turned and hurried away.
Yu Fei watched her go, her smile slowly fading. In its place, envy twisted her expression.
She pulled out her phone and dialed a number.
“Young Master Wang, I just saw a stunning beauty. Interested?” she asked sweetly the moment the call connected.
Wang Haoran, still walking with Yu Shiqing, didn’t answer right away. Instead, he pretended to hang up and excused himself, disappearing briefly to take the call in private.
Away from prying eyes, he recalled the system message he received earlier—the one that still hadn’t made much sense.
So he decided to probe.
“The girl you saw… was her name Gu Yurou?”
