Chapter 276: Chapter 276 Oops! My Jade Pillar Slipped into Your Pure Spring!
There was no attack. No movement. No fluctuation of power.
And yet… Fang Yuan was completely suppressed.
The sword slipped from his fingers.
Clang—!
It struck the ground with a hollow sound.
A moment later, Fang Yuan’s body collapsed heavily, his knees hitting first before he fell face-first onto the floor, completely powerless.
Silence.
Absolute silence filled the hall.
“Fang Yuan!” the old master’s voice roared from within the ring, no longer calm, no longer composed… only fear remained.
His soul surged forward, attempting to seize control, to escape, to salvage what little remained.
But just as he made his move…
A vast, formless pressure descended.
It was silent… yet absolute.
Like the will of the heavens themselves pressing down.
Before he could even react, a powerful seal slammed directly onto his soul.
Boom.
The connection severed.
The old master froze.
His thoughts halted.
His power… vanished as if it had never existed.
He could no longer move.
He could no longer speak.
Even his consciousness seemed to sink into an endless abyss, suppressed beyond resistance.
Just like Fang Yuan…
He had been completely subdued.
And throughout it all…
Lin Feng calmly placed a piece of food into his mouth, chewing slowly, as if nothing of importance had just occurred.
Meanwhile, the Ye clansmen around them were completely stunned, their minds racing to process what had just occurred.
“What?! How did Young Master Lin Feng attack?” one whispered, disbelief etched across his face.
“I didn’t see a thing either,” another muttered, shaking his head.
“Fang Yuan is a Core Formation Realm cultivator, and he was defeated just like that? Impossible!” someone else exclaimed, his voice trembling.
“It’s his eyes! I feel like Young Master Lin Feng could defeat anyone who meets his gaze!” another guessed, eyes wide with awe.
“The eyes are the windows of the soul so that must be it. That’s his secret! Young Master Lin Feng’s method must revolve around this hidden technique!”
“Shut up! Do you want to die spouting nonsense while Young Master Lin Feng is still here?” a senior scolded sharply, his voice cutting through the murmurs.
Everyone around began whispering and speculating furiously, trying to make sense of how Lin Feng had managed to subdue Fang Yuan so easily, seemingly without even lifting a finger.
Each guess was wilder than the last, yet all shared the same core fear… the power of Lin Feng’s gaze alone.
They felt completely exposed under his gaze, as if every secret they held had been laid bare.
A chilling fear gripped their hearts, and none of them dared to meet Lin Feng’s eyes again.
What if they ended up like Fang Yuan?
That single thought was enough to break any remaining courage.
One after another, they lowered their heads deeply, avoiding his gaze entirely, their bodies tense with fear.
Lin Feng calmly walked over to Fang Yuan’s immobile body.
The latter’s eyes were still frozen in shock, as if he could not comprehend what had just happened.
Without a word, Lin Feng reached down and removed the ring from Fang Yuan’s finger.
Then, he lightly placed a hand on Fang Yuan’s head.
In the next instant, Fang Yuan’s body sank downward, as if the ground itself had opened and swallowed him whole.
Before anyone could react, he had completely vanished.
No trace was left behind.
Lin Feng turned around as if nothing unusual had occurred and returned to his seat.
He picked up his chopsticks once more and continued selecting food, eating in calm silence.
The hall fell deathly quiet.
Everyone was stunned by how quickly everything had unfolded.
No one had expected Fang Yuan to be defeated, and certainly not in such an effortless and incomprehensible manner.
More than that, not a single drop of blood had been spilled.
It was as if the entire confrontation had never even happened.
The Ye clansmen stared at Lin Feng as though he had grown three heads and six arms, their expressions filled with shock, fear, and disbelief.
His methods were simply too unpredictable, too terrifying.
Several minutes passed in suffocating silence before someone finally gathered the courage to step forward.
“Young Master Lin Feng,” the Ye Patriarch said carefully, his tone respectful yet cautious, “Fang Yuan is a disciple of the Grand Purity Temple. They will surely come looking for him. Allow me to handle his body. I will ensure he is properly treated and taken care of.”
He had not expected things to end like this.
As he looked at Lin Feng, a trace of fear lingered in his eyes.
After all, Fang Yuan was even stronger than himself, yet Lin Feng had dealt with him as easily as brushing away dust.
He could not begin to imagine just how powerful Lin Feng truly was.
“I know, Patriarch Ye,” Lin Feng replied calmly. “If the Grand Purity Temple comes, just point them in my direction.”
He paused briefly before continuing,
“As for Fang Yuan, I already have someone in mind who will take good care of him. He is in good hands, that much I can assure you.”
With that, Lin Feng returned his attention to the table and resumed eating, as if nothing of importance had happened.
Meanwhile, far away from the Ye Clan, something else was happening at the exact moment Lin Feng spoke those words.
“Bang!”
A body suddenly dropped from the ceiling of a dimly lit morgue, landing perfectly onto one of the cold corpse beds below.
It was Fang Yuan.
The room was filled with a damp, chilling aura, the air thick with the scent of death.
Rows of half alive bodies lay covered in white sheets, unmoving and silent.
All except one.
Right beside Fang Yuan’s bed, another table was shaking violently, creaking under intense movement.
The sounds were chaotic, almost obscene, breaking the stillness of the morgue in a disturbing way.
A large, obese man was there, relentlessly moving as he handled Xie Yan from behind, his heavy breaths echoing in the enclosed space.
