Chapter 365: Chapter 365 A Heart of Iron, a Spear of Jade, and a Will of Jelly
For the briefest moment, the corners of Lin Feng’s lips twitched, as if he were about to smile. But in the next instant, he suppressed it completely, his expression returning to its usual calm and composed state.
He looked down at Su Wanwan, his gaze steady yet not unkind. Then, in a voice that carried effortlessly across the entire field, he spoke.
“A true teacher is never late, Wanwan,” he said, his tone calm and measured, carrying a quiet authority that resonated in the hearts of those who heard it. “He arrives exactly when he is needed at precisely the right moment.” The words hung in the air for a second before the meaning settled into the crowd.
Some students nodded subconsciously, impressed by the profoundness of his statement. Others looked at him with newfound admiration, their respect for him growing even stronger.
Even those who had doubted him earlier found themselves unable to refute such a composed and confident response. Su Wanwan’s eyes lit up instantly, her earlier complaint completely forgotten.
“WOW! Mentor Lin Feng is really cool and awesome! You’re the best teacher of all!” a loud, fat, enthusiastic voice suddenly echoed across the field.
The shout came from somewhere within the crowd, booming with such excitement that it startled those nearby.
A few students turned their heads, quickly spotting the source… a large, chubby figure grinning from ear to ear as he looked at Lin Feng with unrestrained admiration. The sudden outburst broke the tension.
Some students couldn’t help but chuckle softly, while others exchanged amused glances. A few even nodded in agreement, though they were far less vocal about it.
Lin Feng, however, remained unmoved. He stood there calmly, his hands still behind his back, his posture straight and unwavering.
Yet, as he looked over the sea of faces before him filled with curiosity, expectation, and awe… a faint, almost imperceptible sense of satisfaction flickered deep within his eyes.
A moment later, Lin Feng began his class.
“Today, we will discuss something special… something known as the Dao Heart,” he said calmly, his voice carrying across the entire field with ease. “It is mysterious and cannot be fully measured or expressed with mere words. Yet, it exists within every sentient being.”
The crowd quieted completely, thousands of students focusing on him without distraction.
“The Dao Heart,” Lin Feng continued, “is the will to grow stronger and the unyielding resolve to move forward and never give up, no matter the hardships one faces. It is not something granted by talent, nor determined by birth. It is forged through one’s experiences, convictions, and choices.”
He paused briefly, letting his words sink in before giving his next instruction.
“Now, all of you sit down in the lotus position.”
At once, the students complied. One after another, they lowered themselves to the ground, crossing their legs and straightening their backs as instructed.
The vast field, once filled with noise and movement, transformed into a tranquil scene of cultivation.
Lin Feng walked slowly among them, his hands still clasped behind his back as he observed their postures and breathing.
From time to time, he would offer a few simple corrections, his voice steady and patient.
“Relax your mind.”
“Steady your breathing.”
“Do not force your thoughts… let them flow naturally.”
Under his guidance, the restless energy of the crowd gradually settled. Even those who had been distracted earlier found themselves becoming calm, their minds slowly entering a state of quiet focus.
Time passed unnoticed.
The sun climbed higher into the sky, its light growing warmer as the morning stretched on. Yet not a single student dared to move or complain.
They remained seated, immersed in Lin Feng’s teachings, as if afraid that even the slightest disturbance would break the state they had entered.
Lin Feng continued to speak, explaining the concept of the Dao Heart from different angles… sometimes profound, sometimes simple, yet always clear enough for even the youngest among them to grasp.
Three hours passed in the blink of an eye.
By the time the sun reached its peak at noon, the lesson finally came to an end.

Meanwhile, in another part of the academy, a lone figure remained inside an empty classroom, his expression twisted with bitterness.
“I wish Lin Feng to die a cruel death…” he muttered under his breath, his voice low and venomous.
The room, once filled with eager students, now felt cold and lifeless. Rows of seats stood abandoned, untouched, as silence weighed heavily in the air.
Wu Haoxuan slowly lifted his head and looked around. Not a single disciple remained. All of them were gone. They had left him. Every last one had transferred to Lin Feng’s class.
It had all started with a single rumor… one that spread like wildfire throughout the academy. Word had gotten out that he had once offended Lin Feng. Whether true or exaggerated no longer mattered.
In a place where power dictated everything, perception alone was enough to seal one’s fate.
His students… or rather, the clans behind them, had made their decision swiftly. None of them were willing to risk offending someone like Lin Feng by continuing to associate with him.
One by one, they withdrew their disciples, sending them away without hesitation. And just like that, Wu Haoxuan was left with nothing.
He was, after all, the same teacher who had once argued with Lin Feng weeks ago… the same man who had once been Su Wanwan’s mentor. Back then, he had never imagined things would turn out like this.
Lin Feng hadn’t even needed to take action. Without lifting a single finger, he had completely crushed Wu Haoxuan’s standing within the academy.
“I wish Lin Feng to die a cruel death…”
“I wish Lin Feng to die a cruel death…”
“I wish Lin Feng to die a cruel death…”
Wu Haoxuan repeated the words over and over again, as if chanting some broken mantra. But the more he spoke, the more hollow his voice became.
His eyes had lost their clarity, replaced by frustration, resentment… and a creeping sense of despair.
His mind could no longer accept the reality before him… how everything he had built had collapsed so suddenly, so completely. In that moment, something deep within him fractured.
His Dao Heart, once stable, began to crumble under the weight of his own obsession and hatred, splintering into countless pieces with no clear way to mend.
