Chapter 1989: 24.250 Sixth Violet Star – Permission to Leave

With the finalized decision of the guardian, or the former elf king, Lord Vega’s decision of leaving the ancient forest, he came to the location where the Elemental God Thorn was residing together with his daughter, Xue Laira and the other two Elemental Emperors, Greene and Tree. The forest area at the farthest location from the entrance and the core where the tribe is staying is where most elementals that live in this forest stay. Though most elementals of this area are ice and fire elementals with the addition of the Elemental God Thorn and his half human daughter, Xue Laira, the place had become livable enough for children.

Elemental God Thorn did slightly transform a part of this forest so his daughter can live here without problems. This place used to be covered with just flames with the descent of the Elemental God, the forest had resprouted with a stable balance between ice, flame and plants. This place is lively with elementals but once someone appears they would disappear immediately as if they never meant to appear before someone.

Now the current guardian had come to find the Elemental God Thorn once again to ask one among the three favors that the divinity had promised to provide them. By the time he had arrived, his daughter Haerin together with Long Juedi was spending time with Xue Laira. There are also the other students who had chosen to ask the beastmen tribe for protection like the other students of the Class F. They were already staying in this place before the chaos broke apart. Though the adults were busy everyday, the students were free of worries except for training together.

Haerin was the first one to spot her father, “Daddy!? Where are you going? It’s still early. I haven’t completed my training yet.”

Lord Vega ruffles his daughter’s hair lovingly and said, “I didn’t come here to pick you up. Go ahead and continue your training with your friends.”

“Did you come here to see Uncle Thorn again?” Haerin asked.

The only time her father would come to her when it wasn’t to pick her up is when he came over to speak business with the Elemental God Thorn. Even though she didn’t know the contents of their conversation, it seems to have something to do with this ancient forest and happenings beyond the ancient forest.

The former elf king Vega said, “Yes. I have something to ask your uncle again. So go and make yourself busy~”

Haerin knew the importance of the adults talking to one another. She had no intention of interfering with her dad’s business and left to go back to where her friends are waiting. The children watch the back of Lord Vega to the deepest area of this part of the forest.

“Thank you, Greene. Please make preparations to leave. I am going out to the ancient forest this time,” said Lord Vega to his contracted Elemental Emperor.

The Elemental Emperor of the Wind, Greene, smiled at her master and nodded her head when she heard that they were leaving this time. Lord Vega had come to see the divine one in the mouth of the other Elemental Emperor. Grandpa Tree opened the door to where their divine one was staying.

He said, {Get inside.}

Lord Vega entered the room and so that the Elemental God seems to be meditating while surrounded by rose thorns and budding roses. He sat in the middle of the thorns with his eyes closed. Upon seeing the divinity, the former Elf King, had saluted properly towards the divine one.

He said, “This humble one greets the Divine one of the Spirit realm.”

The Elemental God slowly opened his eyes, as if following his will, the budding roses also slowly opened. He already knew that this elf would come to see him before he left.

{Are you going outside this time? The place beyond the walls is chaotic. Much more than you had anticipated. There are too many tragedies. But… That long eared race indeed needs some help.} The Elemental God Thorn said.

Lord Vega asked, “The Elven race needs help?”

{Um. Some of their people had been tainted. They can no longer summon their elementals to fight. Some were desperate to live, even begging this god to descend and save them. Unfortunately, I have no intention of getting involved with the situation. At the very least not right now when my daughter had nothing to do with it.} Elemental God Thorn said.

I know what you come for. I will protect this ancient forest while you are gone. Do not worry about your daughter when you take your leave.}

This promise was the one the former elf king, Vega, had been wanting to hear. Now that he had gained the promise of a divine one, he finally prepared to take his leave once again. This time needs to make a final preparation for his departure with the Dwarf Prince Gallian.

Lord Vega said, “Thank you, my lord. With your words, this one can leave at ease. Please excuse me. I shall take my leave now.”

The Elemental God Thorn didn’t stop Lord Vega from taking his leave. He had already told him everything that he needed to know and the promise was made which removed the burden of the guardian on Lord Vega after hearing his promise to take over his position as the temporary guardian of the Ancient Forest. After the former left king had left the room where the Elemental God Thorn resides, the Elemental Emperor Tree had also appeared inside.

{My Divine one, is it truly alright to let that human leave with only Greene with him. Didn’t you say that there is something wrong with that new human marshal?} Elemental Emperor Tree asked.

The Elemental God Thorn responded, {Who are you truly worried about? That human or Greene?}

The Elemental Emperor Tree blushed and said, {Please don’t tease me, My divine one.}
