I Really Am A Villain - Ch. 1731 - The Three Corpse Burial Ground Opens

“I want your inheritance,” Xu Zimo said directly.
“You want my inheritance like this?” Shebishi suddenly looked aggrieved. “Who asks for something by beating someone half to death first?”
“If it were another ancient god, I might be willing to talk things through,” Xu Zimo replied. “As for you, I can’t be bothered. You’re unreasonable, so I’ve decided to settle this with my fists.”
“I can give you the inheritance, but you must help me revive,” Shebishi said.
“You think you’re still qualified to negotiate?” Xu Zimo said coldly.
“Why not?” Shebishi retorted. “My inheritance is the culmination of my entire life. Is it too much to ask for something in return?”
“I’ll give you two choices,” Xu Zimo said. “Hand over the inheritance, or die by my hand.”
“In that case, kill me,” Shebishi said stubbornly. “Don’t even think about getting my inheritance.”
He thought Xu Zimo would compromise.
Instead, Xu Zimo was even more ruthless.
Without another word, he threw a punch with his right hand.
Death came again and again.
Shebishi finally panicked.
After wandering for countless years, the poison beast had finally found the Death-Substitution Mirror, and he himself had finally shown signs of revival.
He did not want to truly die like this.
“Stop. I’ll give you the inheritance,” Shebishi said. “Take it and leave immediately.”
He was genuinely afraid now.
The man before him was like a madman who refused to negotiate and was bent on mutual destruction.
Xu Zimo stopped and looked at him calmly.
“My entire life has been spent dealing with poison,” Shebishi said unwillingly. “My inheritance represents the ultimate form of poison.”
He waved his hand, and strands of poisonous energy began to gather in his palm.
Before long, the poison condensed into the shape of a bead.
“The Plague Poison Pearl. It contains my life’s inheritance,” Shebishi said. “I once hoped that if I couldn’t revive, someone else would carry on my Dao. You’re getting it cheap.”
Xu Zimo took the Plague Poison Pearl without fear of a trick.
He examined it carefully, still keeping part of his attention on Shebishi.
Inside the pearl was indeed the true essence of the Ancient God Poison Dao.
Without exaggeration, it contained the entirety of Poison God Shebishi’s lifelong achievements.
“Now you can leave,” Shebishi said.
Xu Zimo smiled and shook his head.
“Sorry, I’ve changed my mind. I think it’s better to kill you.”
“What the hell do you mean? Going back on your word?!” Shebishi roared in anger.
“Think about it,” Xu Zimo said with a smile. “You only gave me the pearl because you had no choice. You’re definitely holding a grudge. When you fully revive and regain your strength, won’t you come looking for me?”
“I can guarantee this ends here,” Shebishi said.
“I don’t trust guarantees,” Xu Zimo replied. “I only trust the words of the dead.”
“You’re going too far,” Shebishi shouted.
“I came here today to kill you,” Xu Zimo said, drawing Shadow Tyrant. “What’s wrong with going a little too far?”
Blade light erupted violently.
Power thundered through the air as a strand of poisonous aura wrapped around the blade.
With a single swing, endless blade light blanketed the sky, leaving Shebishi no chance to escape.
“You bastard! This is outrageous!” Shebishi roared.
But he was helpless.
He couldn’t defeat Xu Zimo.
“Damn it, damn it,” Shebishi thought.
At this moment, he finally understood the fear of those he had killed.
They had been just like him now, facing an existence they could not resist, waiting only for death.
“Kill!” Shebishi roared and charged at Xu Zimo.
Each time, he was almost instantly destroyed.
Fear finally took hold of him.
He removed the barrier around the inheritance ground and fled outward without hesitation.
All he wanted was to get as far away from Xu Zimo as possible.
But Xu Zimo would never let him escape.
He gave chase immediately.
A beastly roar suddenly rang out.
The poison beast, which had been resting before, charged at Xu Zimo without hesitation upon seeing its master in danger.
It was no match for Xu Zimo.
Even so, it wanted to use its last strength to buy time for its master to escape.
“Get lost,” Xu Zimo said, kicking the poison beast.
But the beast was resolved to die.
It clung to Xu Zimo’s legs, refusing to let go.
“A loyal beast, but loyalty given to the wrong one,” Xu Zimo said, shaking his head.
Shadow Tyrant flashed across the sky, cleaving the poison beast in two.
Then Xu Zimo continued his pursuit of Poison God Shebishi.
After a long chase, Xu Zimo finally blocked his path.
“Why must it be like this?” Shebishi said weakly. “We had no real enmity. You wanted the inheritance, and I gave it to you.”
“Sorry,” Xu Zimo said, shaking his head. “I have a habit of crushing danger while it’s still in the cradle.”
Shadow Tyrant slashed forward.
Shebishi grabbed the blade with both hands, hatred blazing in his eyes.
“I’m not willing. I’m not willing to die like this.”
“Life is full of disappointments,” Xu Zimo said calmly. “Rest easy.”
Shadow Tyrant, infused with poison, drained the last of Shebishi’s power.
His figure grew fainter and weaker.
With an unwilling roar, an ancient god died just like that.
Or rather, he should have died long ago.
“The ship of the new era is steered by me,” Xu Zimo said quietly.
…
After killing Shebishi, Xu Zimo returned to the inheritance ground and found Ouyang Xiu and Ji Zhan.
The two had hidden themselves somewhere.
Seeing Xu Zimo return, they finally breathed a sigh of relief.
“Boss, you’re finally back.”
“What’s there to be afraid of?” Xu Zimo asked. “How’s the Three Corpse Burial Ground?”
“It hasn’t opened yet,” Ji Zhan shook his head.
“Then we’ll find the key ourselves,” Xu Zimo said. “Relying on others is never as good as relying on yourself.”
Ji Zhan nodded repeatedly.
He was deeply worried about Lin Ruhu’s safety.
…
The Three Corpse Burial Ground lay in the northern regions of the Grand Desolate Heaven.
More precisely, it was located within Three Corpse City.
As the opening date drew closer, countless people and powerful factions gathered there.
Even the Poison God’s inheritance could not necessarily draw them away.
Compared to that inheritance, the Three Corpse Burial Ground attracted far more attention.
Since ancient times, it had been shrouded in controversy, centered on the idea of gaining a second life.
It was said that someone once found the secret of rebirth there.
Now that it was opening again, many ancient monsters nearing death had all converged upon it.
