- Chapter 2395: Purchase of Exclusive Brush ㉔

The Seditch Magic Tool Trading Company was one of the Five Great Trading Companies, in fact, it was the largest in the world. To elaborate further, while organizations like the Lord Trading Company were general trading companies, the Seditch Magic Tool Trading Company dealt exclusively in magic tools, and yet it stood unrivaled at the pinnacle of all commercial enterprises. Their wealth and influence were in a league of their own.
In truth, when it came to the field of magic tools, Seditch Magic Tool Trading Company’s power and dominance were so overwhelming that it could be described as an absolute monopoly.
Even the Sharon Trading Company, run by the Sharon Count family, was considered quite large by Human standards, yet the difference in scale was so vast that it couldn’t even be called a rival.
However, Kuromueina, the founder of the Seditch Magic Tool Trading Company and its honorary president, effectively its true leader, did not approve of a monopoly. She believed that progress could only come from competition, and so she generously supported other magic tool companies.
In terms of patented technologies related to magic tool creation, those with broad applicability were made public either free of charge or with very low licensing fees. She even provided educational curriculums for training magic tool engineers, and, when necessary, offered advice on business management as well.
As a result, even setting aside scale and wealth, many trading companies owed Seditch Magic Tool Trading Company great debts of gratitude, and were in no position to oppose them. The Sharon Trading Company had also received their aid countless times before. Thus, for Cornelia, this was an entity to whom she could never afford to show the slightest disrespect.
(I- I have to endure it somehow. My consciousness feels like it’s about to slip away…… T- The Seditch Magic Tool Trading Company…… and f- four of their Special Advisors are here…… I must stay strong. If I displease even one of them, the Sharon Trading Company could vanish overnight!)
The Seditch Magic Tool Trading Company, the largest trading company in the world, was overseen not only by a General Representative, but also by five Special Advisors personally appointed by Kuromueina herself, each presiding over a specific department.
These Special Advisors possessed authority surpassing even that of the Company President and wielded tremendous influence not only within the magic tools industry but across the entire economic world.
The Special Advisor of the prestigious Magic Tool Development Division, effectively the one who held the final say across numerous fields, was the one known as the “Great Sage of the Dead”, Sechs. The one responsible for ensuring a steady supply of what should be a rare commodity, high-purity magic crystals, and who was said to have no equal in that field, the Special Advisor of the Magic Crystal Division, “Magic Crystal Ruler” Tre.
With vast connections spanning the economic and social elite, from nobles to commoners alike, and the uncanny ability to instantly discern a person’s talents and assign them to their ideal position, serving as the Special Advisor of the Human Resources Division, the “Virtuoso of Talent” Nove.
The Special Advisor of the Accounting Department of the Seditch Magic Tool Trading Company, the very cornerstone of its overwhelming financial operations, said to be capable of moving funds on the scale of a national budget with a single word, the “Conqueror of Gold Veins”, Tetra.
And lastly, invincible and undefeated in the art of negotiation, who effortlessly secured massive contracts time and again on the front lines of magic tool sales, the Special Advisor of the Sales Division, the “Monster of Verbal Warfare”, Trois.
Each of these individuals was a figure of such renown that anyone even remotely involved in commerce would know their names. To have four of these Special Advisors gathered in one place was an astonishing occurrence indeed.
And as Cornelia trembled in tense silence, those sharp-minded elites were quietly assessing her worth.
(Kaito’s friend huh. From a glance, her abilities as a noble seem average. Her clothes suggest she’s strong in areas like fashion or the arts, but not exceptionally so. That probably means her real strength lies in her personality. And since Kaito has an incredible eye for people, where even I’m surprised by how sharp he can be, if he values her, then there’s no harm in forming a friendly relationship.)
Nove, who oversaw the HR Division, held Kaito’s ability to judge people in extremely high regard. Because of that, she believed it would be wise to establish at least a decent relationship with anyone Kaito called a friend.
(……This will definitely have an impact. The movements of the Ritch Barony don’t really concern the Seditch Magic Tool Trading Company, so I was planning to just watch from the sidelines, but this…… this involves another magic tool company. It’s bound to affect us. Strengthening ties with the Sharon Trading Company is absolutely essential.)
Tetra, on the other hand, was certain that the interaction between Kaito and Cornelia would bring about major growth for the Sharon Trading Company. Acting early, she believed, could turn that development into profit for the Seditch Magic Tool Trading Company as well. She was already drafting a budget plan in her head, one that even included partial business collaborations with the Sharon Trading Company.
(Come to think about it, Kuromu-sama did mention meeting a girl from the Sharon Trading Company at a tea party. That must’ve been Cornelia-dono. Hmmm, if I recall, she wasn’t all that involved in managing the company, but with her having a connection with Miyama-dono now, then things will surely change drastically…… That said, Cornelia-dono would probably have a rough time though……)
Sechs, for his part, understood the situation clearly, including the growing stomachaches Cornelia’s having, and couldn’t help but feel a little sympathy for her, knowing how busy she was about to become.
(Oh right, Kaito’s got a special reserved seat at Nifty, so he doesn’t even need to make a reservation, right? Kuromu-sama was raving about their baby castella, and I really want to try them too! I’ll have to ask him to take me there sometime!)
Meanwhile, as usual, Tre was thinking about something entirely unrelated…… but honestly, for Cornelia, that kind of reaction was probably the most comforting of them all.
Unfortunately, with Nove and Tetra already preparing to take action, even Tre’s carefree attitude wouldn’t do much to ease the stomachache Cornelia was destined to suffer.
<Afterword>
Nove (the sharp one) : [We should build a good relationship.]
Tetra (the sharp one) : [We must strengthen our ties with the Sharon Trading Company.]
Sechs (the sharp one) : [With Miyama-dono’s influence, Cornelia-dono’s going to have a tough time ahead.]
Tre (the usual Onee-chan) : [More importantly, I wanna eat baby castella.]
Serious-senpai : [……In a way, for the Stomachache Warriors, the safest one to deal with, despite her high position, might actually be Tre. She also got along easily with Aoi and Hina, and even worked smoothly with Razelia when helping Ann……]
