- Chapter 2498: Company and Exclusive Brush ⑤

A few days after the exclusive brush arrived, I visited Frea-san’s house in the Demon Realm and, as promised, explained how it felt to use it. I had already visited Magnawell-san beforehand and had recommended it to him as well.
[……I see. My comrade’s evaluation is favorable then.]
[Yes. I had Canalis-san make me a support tool, but when I use it on myself, there’s no need to return magic. By simply pouring magic power into the brush, according to Nebula, it allows the magic power to penetrate effectively.]
[Fumu…… Magic power permeation huh. Indeed, such beauty-related magic formulas do exist. In that sense, this exclusive brush might indeed be an ideal tool.]
[Is that so?]
For me, when using it on Bell or Lynn, I had to convert it to match their magic power, but when using it on myself for brushing, no conversion was needed.
According to Nebula, while it’s not as extreme as my special magic power, it’s effective for improving the shine of hair and scales.
[Fumu. Eingana knows more than I do, but the magic formulas for evenly permeation of magic power for beauty purposes does exist. As with myself, beings like dragons and monsters have a lot of magic power flowing through various parts of their bodies, including their blood. The amount of magic power flowing to each part is called the magic power permeation rate, and making it as uniform as possible is said to be the key to beautiful scales and hair.]
[I see. So Eingana-san practices this then.]
[Yeah, though it’s easier said than done. Magic power is generated internally, so the further it is from the body’s core, like the tips of scales or hair, the lower the permeation rate. This is entirely different from coating oneself with magic power for defense or body strengthening. To put it simply, it’s similar to improving blood circulation.]
Nebula mentioned that the extra magic formula for the exclusive brush seems to be a form of beauty care originally meant for dragons and monsters, but if even Frea-san says it’s difficult, perhaps only a few can truly do it.
[The important part here is uniformity. If you try to ensure magic power fully permeates the tips of hair or scales, you might end up overloading magic power in other parts. It’s like trying to reach a distant point with too much force. Therefore, evenly adjusting magic power permeation requires very delicate control.]
[……Ah, I see. So, if the exclusive brush allows magic power to permeate from the outside, it makes it easier to even out the permeation rate without delicate magic control.]
[Exactly. Many dragons care about the beauty of their scales…… well, honestly, I don’t really care, but Eingana and her subordinates are very particular, and many of my own subordinates care as well. It’s the same for dragon scales or the fur of Beast-type Demons…… In that sense, this exclusive brush might be in high demand.]
[I see. If it becomes popular, Cornelia-san would be pleased, so if you meet anyone interested, let them know.]
[Yeah, alright. Leave it to me…… I’ll mention it to Eingana as well.]
It seems that Humans and Demons alike are interested in beauty. In fact, the demand in this field is huge, so it would be great if it gained some popularity.
According to Akane-san, Cornelia-san’s related products would probably benefit from being popular, so I hope it spreads among the Dragon King’s subordinates, who seem likely to want it.
If it can accommodate Beast-type Demons, Anima and Caraway might want one too, so I should try talking to them. What about Amel-san though? If brushes for fur and horns can be made, I feel like a brush for wings could be made as well. The Wingeds are a closed-off species, but they seem very particular about wing care, so maybe this could even be a chance to increase their interaction with the outside world.
Amel-san has expressed wanting the Wingeds to engage more with outsiders, so it might be worth recommending it. Perhaps introducing Cornelia-san-san to them could work too? Well, the Wingeds seem to have strict rules, so I’d need to consult Amel-san properly first…… but it seems possible. No, maybe I should first talk to Cornelia-san and have Victor Trading Company check if a brush for wings can actually be made?
<Afterword>
Stomachache Devil : [……Die! (Your stomach, that is.)]
Serious-senpai : [T- This guy…… he’s a genius at increasing the damage with his goodwill…… And once again, I’m reminded that Cornelia is the type that gets hit hard with that one strike.]
? ? ? : [Well then, shall I have some wine along with this?]
